JR's Blog: Hulk Hogan Under Fire,Knoxville & Houston RINGSIDE Shows set, @WWECesaro, Ross Report Podcast Doing Huge #'s, JR on @Finebaum, nwaclassics.com, FACEBOOK JimRossBBQ

Posted: Jul 25th 2015 By: Jim Ross

Finally got our dates firmed up for RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Shows on Friday September 11 in Knoxville at the International, the night before the OU-Tennessee college football game, and on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm September 20 in Houston at the Warehouse Live Ballroom which is a short walk from the Toyota Center where WWE will host Night of Champions later that night. General Admission tickets for both events are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the event, and VIP tickets are limited for both shows and are priced at $50 for the meet/greet/photo ops. Tickets for both shows go on sale this Wednesday, at www.ticketfly.com in Houston and at www.ticketweb.com in Knoxville.

Biggest news story of the day is the Hulk Hogan racist remarks controversy. I'm not sure what I'm expected to say about this sad and unfortunate matter except that there is obviously no place in our world for racism or racist banter. Hulk made a grievous error in judgment, a major mistake, that he will have to live with this rest of his days. One can only hope that every one who this matter touches can learn from it and move forward in a positive manner. The WWE acted quickly and decisively in this matter to which they are to be commended.

In any organization, there should be zero tolerance for matters such as this along with domestic violence and, to a large degree, drug policy violations, as well. The only way changes that are needed in our society can evolve is to penalize the offenders as severely as the law will allow so that those that follow think twice or three times before traveling down the same road.

It will intriguing as to how Hogan will attempt to rehabilitate his damaged image and what the future holds for him. We live in a forgiving society when those that want forgiveness and hopefully that will be the case here over the course of time. No one should celebrate the misery of others nor can these transgressions go unaddressed. Being human, we all make mistakes and all we can hope to accomplish from those errors is to never make them again and to learn from them as well. Hopefully, after his long and memorable career within the squared circle, Hulk Hogan's lasting legacy will not be that of his actions that have come to light in the past several hours

RINGSIDE w/Jim Ross Show in Washington DC is doing great at the DC Improv with only 17 of the coveted, VIP tickets remaining at the box office and online at www.dcimprov.com. General Admission tickets are going quickly and are only $25 to see @chaddukes and me on stage at the world famous, DC Improv. I hope to see you there for this show that's well on it's way to selling out.

Our tickets for the Gramercy Theater RINGSIDE Show were selling wonderfully until WWE booked their NXT spectacular on the same night, Saturday August 22, in Brooklyn. It was a smart booking for WWE as the NXT show is very close to selling out and had only 1500 tickets left a few days ago. I'm hopeful that they do sell out and those that were on the fence or did not get a NXT ticket will consider coming to my show. About 40 VIP meet/greet/photo op tickets remain for NYC and general admission tickets are still available at only $25 at ticketmaster.com and the Gramercy Theatre box office. My pals from Busted Open Radio will MC this my only NYC date of the year. A lucky attendee oat our Gramercy Show will win two, free Summer Slam Tickets which will be the next day.

Fans are raving about our current Ross Report podcast with @IAmJohnPollock of Canada's Fight Network who joins me to discuss WWE, Battleground, we do some Wrestlemania booking, talk TNA, ROH, New Japan and even some UFC. Listening is FREE at podcastone.com, iTunes, and right here on this site on the homepage which couldn't make it easier. John is extremely bright and that shines prominently through during this 90 minute show.

Next week on our podcast Al Snow joins me and will tell of his in ring tryout with Ole and Gene Anderson which isn't for the faint of heart. A new podcast drops every Tuesday night at 9 pm ET. I'm also interviewing Patrick from Tough Enough this Monday night as well while wife Jan attends RAW in OKC. Hey, a man's got to buy the groceries, right?

Really enjoyed the promo on Smackdown done by @WWECesaro Thursday night. Whoever said this guy doesn't have any charisma or personality must have been looking at a different guy than I saw on my TV on Smackdown. The Swiss Superman is a stud and nothing but main event money if strategically booked.

Chase me down on Facebook at JimRossBBQ.

Nice to see the ratings IE audience increase Wednesday on Destination America for ROH and TNA. Good sign. We need several weeks of improvement to get levels back to acceptable numbers that might perpetuate both brands in remaining on national cable TV for the long haul. TNA is doing marathon TV tapings this week in Florida which is a daunting system that is designed to produce average TV shows but to save money which TNA must do. I admire their dedication to salvage their brand and hope that they are successful. If fans truly love the business and want a choice they will support all the wrestling shows that are on TV as best as their schedules will allow. Thank goodness for DVR's.

I will be appearing on the Paul Finebaum Show on ESPN this Thursday at 3:30 so be sure and tune in. We'll be talking the massive, Charlotte Mid Atlantic Legends Fan Fest that runs July 30- August 2 and specifically the documentary 'Mid Atlantic Memories' which is a MUST SEE and can be purchased via www.nwalegends.com.

www.wweshop.com for easy online shopping for all JR's products including our amazing, 97% Fat Free Beef Jerky.

Any one checking out www.nwaclassics.com? It's pretty amazing.
