JR's Blog: Tickets for Saturday March 28 RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show at WM31 go on Sale Sat morning, Great Stories on Ross Report Podcast, Fast Lane Predictions, Sting-HHH, Chi-Town Heat

Posted: Feb 21st 2015 By: Jim Ross

Tickets for our RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show on Saturday March 28, the day before WrestleMania, to be held in San Jose at the Rockbar Theater from 1-3 pm go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) at 1 pm ET/10 am pacific via ticketweb.com starting at only $20. Tickets are limited so I'd suggest that you get yours early. We have earmarked 100 tickets at $65 each for our popular, VIP Meet & Greet session that will commence at 11 am on Saturday March 28. These VIP tickets never last long so nab them while you can. There is no telling who you will run into at our show during WrestleMania weekend and I hope that you will join me and others by getting your tickets sooner than later. Thanks for your consideration...let's grill.

My conversation with ROH's Kevin Kelly continues to produce great feedback including from aspiring broadcasters plus fans of the Attitude Era who remember the skits that Kevin used to do with @TheRock which were hilarious. Kevin also talks about the Monster Factory, the upcoming ROH PPV, his WWE days and much more in one of the best overall podcasts that we have done. Check it our for FREE at podcastone.com, iTunes, or right here on our site by simply going to the homepage and clicking on the Ross Report icon.

Again, by subscribing to the Ross Report Podcast at iTunes, for no charge whatsoever, you won't miss a show and your subscription helps us immensely. I hope that you will consider doing so with our gratitude.

Great exposure for WWE with the Seth Rollins/Jon Stewart exchange. Very nice, non scripted promo by Stewart who cut to the chase, made his points and got out in just over a minute. Simple, right?

I did short list of wrestling schools, not all inclusive or ranked, for a Twitter follower recently that included Lance Storm's school in Calgary, The Monster Factory in Philly, the 3D school in Kissimmee, Forida, Danny Davis' OVW school in Louisville, and I'm sure that there are others out there that I've inadvertently overlooked. Always ask them for who they've trained and who's found regular work. Talk to their former students if you can. This is a major decision that isn't cheap and requires a minimum of a 100% commitment.

My wife prepared previously frozen made spinach for dinner last night and only used JR's All Purpose Seasoning and it tasted as fresh as if it was just from the garden. Our seasoning makes virtually any canned or frozen vegetable MUCH better.

Hope that you will check out my voice over feature that will air in the Daytona 500 pre race show this Sunday on Fox TV. It is tentatively scheduled to air in the noon ET hour.

Impressed with Lucha Underground's Ivelisse who's a legit tough woman and talent who should continue to evolve in the new wrestling company. I liked her when I saw her in FCW a couple of years ago.

Fully expect that the Sting-HHH confrontation Sunday at Fast Lane in Memphis will be a major production that will make us want to see the match between the two at WM31 even more. Yes, I expect some physicality and more on the WWE-WCW 'rivalry.'

Thinking Cena wins at Fast Lane but likely by disqualification or count out so that Rusev retains the US Title even though a nice, long run with the United States Title would help rebuild the equity in the championship. That's similar as to what New Japan did with their IC Title after putting it on the amazing, Nakamura.

This is essentially a two bout PPV Sunday focusing on the bigger money matches for WrestleMania which always provides an opportunity for other matches to slip in through the back door and become "pleasant surprises."

Hard to predict the Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns bout which I feel is a good thing as WWE has done a effective job in quickly building this particular bout for Sunday. I can see either man winning but can also see chaos and controversy that somehow eventually gets both Reigns and Bryan in a main event role vs. Brock Lesnar come WrestleMania. One obvious question is where does Paul Heyman and/or Seth Rollins fit into all this discussion? They are both too immersed in this issue to not be involved in some manner whether it be Sunday or later. If forced and I had to pick one winner to meet Lesnar I'd guess WWE will go with Reigns but that's merely a guess.

Much of what goes down in this match is related to whether Lesnar stays with WWE after WM31 or heads back to MMA. One scenario could see Heyman turn on Lesnar w/ Reigns winning w/o us knowing Heyman's true intentions and then Rollins cashing in the MITB contract, w/ Heyman's blessings, to help Rollins leave WM31 s the new champion.

The are numerous 'right ways' for a decision maker to accomplish what they want in any given storyline but what I like about what I'm seeing now is that no one knows conclusively what's going down Sunday on the @WWENetwork.

While I'm thinking about it, it's much more important to do the 'right thing' for business than to orchestrate a 'surprise' that may unpredictable but is wrong for business.

Tailgaters for WM31 should stock up now on JR's products as wweshop.com has a huge inventory w/ more on the way as does our UK & Ireland partners americansoda.couk and beyondtheropes.co.uk. Tweet us your pics to @JRsBBQ.

On this date in 1989, Magnum TA and I broadcast Jim Crockett Promotion's Chi-Town Heat from the UIC pavilion headlined by Ricky Steamboat winning the NWA Title from Ric Flair. It was a helluva PPV offering that many are now enjoying for the first time on the WWE Network. As usual, the Chicago fans were outstanding and respectful of a great in ring presentation. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Would any villain n WWE dare to accost Jerry Lawler, the living legend of Memphis, on the Fast Lane PPV? Opportunity knocks for legit angst that many villains need.

Enjoying watching all my @Oklahoma_Football family at the NFL Combine. On the other hand, my bride isn't so thrilled.

Getting lots of questions about me broadcasting another NJPW event in the future and I'm certainly open to doing so as WK9 was a thrill. On January 4 in Tokyo, I realized how much I missed broadcasting pro wrestling. Some old dogs can still hunt.

Fully expect next year at this time for the WWE to be doted with new talents from NXT as they prepare for many of their first WrestleMania event...arguably the biggest one ever in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium. If I were them that would be my goal from now until the day I was booked.

Speaking of NXT talents competing at WrestleMania, I don't feel that it's the thing to do when asked if NXT talents should be a part of the WrestleMania card. Being a part of WM31 is not a right but a privilege and when NXT talents are called up to the main roster then IMO they've earned that right.

Be sure and check out the Ross Report Podcast weekly as a new show drops every Tuesday evening at 9 ET on podcastone.com and iTunes.

Q&A's elsewhere here on the site are updated and await you.

Our friends at prowestlingtees.com/jimross are killing it and will soon be moving to a new facility to better serve one and all. They ship virtually every size shirt made to any location in the world. Everyone needs a short or long sleeved SLOBBERKNOCKER shirt, right?

Remember that Saturday (tomorrow) that tickets go on sale at ticketweb.com for RINGSIDE w/Jim Ross in San Jose at the Rockbar Theater at 1 pm on Saturday March 28 which is the day before WM31.

Thanks for stopping y and come back and se us.
