NEWS
After years of speculations and what ifs, it finally happened. Former WCW and TNA Champion Sting showed up live and in person in a WWE ring on Sunday at "Survivor Series". The man known as "The Icon" appeared towards the end of the main event after Dolph Ziggler had the odds stacked against him with Jamie Noble, Joey Mercury, and Triple H all interfering to save Seth Rollins. Eventually Triple H's favorite referee, Scott Armstrong, came in for the three count but the Stinger came out and took out Armstrong. Triple H and Sting had a stare down and then Triple H threw the first punch but the former champ countered and eventually hit the Scorpion Death Drop on Triple H, taking him out. He then helped put Ziggler on top of Rollins as the original referee counted to three. Sting going to WWE has been a hot topic for several years, ever since WWE bought out WCW back in 2001. The possibilities of him appearing became closer to reality over the past few years during WrestleMania season but Sting never pulled the trigger and opted to stay with TNA when he was invited to jump ship. That all changed this year when Sting was revealed to be part of the WWE 2K15 video game and the new Mattel action figures. WWE started selling his merchandise on WWEShop.com but a deal for him to be an on-screen character took a long, long time to be finalized. Sting has said this year that if he has it his way, "it's going to happen." It might not have been the fantasy match against The Undertaker - which could still be happen ? but one thing is for sure, Sting has finally landed in WWE and helped taking out The Authority.

Sting has signed a performers contract with WWE but there?s no word yet on how long it?s for or what the details are. As noted, Sting reportedly didn?t get the call to come in until Thursday. Sting is not expected to work any WWE live events and will likely work very few TV tapings. We noted yesterday that there?s talk now of wrestling more than one match but not many more than that. Part of WWE?s plan with Sting will be to tease him a lot until he?s needed for a big event

WWE did 200,000 searches on Google on Sunday, for third place behind Iggy Azalea and Odell Beckham Jr. Of the 200,000, Sting was the most searched for among performers but it was only third behind searches for the show itself. For a comparison, the No. 1 the day before, Manny Pacquiao, had more than 500,000. The last UFC PPV had less than 20,000.

Stevie Richards and The Blue Meanie were interviewed at WWE Studios were for "ECW Unreleased Volume 3", a DVD scheduled for an April 2015 release. Meanie noted on his Facebook page that the DVD will include a 30 minute draw featuring Chris Jericho vs. Shane Douglas.

Mick Foley recently spoke with ChicagoNow.com to promote his new "I Am Santa Claus" movie. Foley once again expressed interest in working a General Manager role for WWE. To read the entire interview, click here.

Mick Foley wrote the following on Facebook about wanting to return to WWE as a General Manager, ?Everywhere I go these days, I am asked about the rumor that I will be the next GM of WWE Monday Night Raw. Yes, I?ve heard the rumor ? but the runor?s only out there because I started it by writing last week that I would probably do it if asked. But as far as I know, that?s ALL there is to it, BUT, if the authority loses this Sunday at #SurvivorSeries, it does seem like there will be a shift in power ? and possibly a new GM.?

Mick Foley was on WGN TV news last Thursday. He said that he beat Hercules (The Rock) for the WWE World Title. He plugged his show at Zanies in Rosemont, IL which was already sold out) and the "I Am Santa" movie. He also talked about Dee Snider of Twisted Sister.

Mick Foley?s comedy show at The Bell House in Brooklyn on Sunday night received rave reviews from fans in attendance. It was filmed by WWE for future use on the WWE Network. On a related note, Foley?s ?I Am Santa? movie premieres on Netflix today.

With the release of WWE?s new ?Macho Man? Randy Savage DVD this week, many people expect Savage to be the headliner for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame. Sting is also rumored for that role.

Ric Flair is doing a one-man show in the United Kingdom from May 24th through 30th with shows each night in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Derby, Leicester, Portsmouth and London.

The Huffington Post recently spoke with WWE NXT Women?s Champion Charlotte. On her fear of not living up to her father Ric Flair?s legacy, she said "The biggest thing holding me back is fear. Being afraid to fail and not live up to such a legacy my dad has made. I do feel the pressure, but I also feel the drive. My dad was really hard on me as a kid in sports, so this is no different.? You can read the entire interview by clicking here.

TNA has signed a new television contract for 2015 and will be moving their programming to Discovery Channel's Destination America. Destination America is channel 102 on Cox Communications , 286 on DirecTV, 194 on Dish Network, 668 (HD) and 168 (SD) on Verizon FiOS, and 1465 (HD) and 465 (SD) on AT&T U-Verse. There was no launch date mentioned.

TNA did a video making fun of Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling. While this shouldn't surprise people, for those who don't know, and this video confirms it, in TNA, Jeff Jarrett is considered public enemy #1. You can see the video by clicking here.

Jeff Jarrett reportedly had a few brief conversations with former UFC star Chael Sonnen about working commentary at the big New Japan Pro Wrestling Tokyo Dome show in January with Jim Ross. Sonnen felt it was a courtesy call from someone who wasn?t really familiar with his work.

Almost nobody in wrestling was aware of the New Japan Pro Wrestling and AXS TV deal. Even Jeff Jarrett didn't know. Before Friday, when the first ad for the show appeared on AXS, nobody anywhere was aware.

While it is Jeff Jarrett?s decision who works the pay-per-view with Jim Ross, Ross has been given significant input into the decision. Jarrett and Ross were both leaning towards Mike Tenay as the leading candidate at one point. Regarding rumors of Kevin Kelly working with Ross on commentary, Ring of Honor will be taping TV that week so Kelly isn?t even a possibility.

Jeff Jarrett did an angle with Brian Christopher last week in Memphis, TN for an upcoming match in a few weeks. You can see the video by clicking here.

There was a comedy sketch on the show "Friends of the People" last Tuesday night on TruTV with Roddy Piper. The sketch had a furniture company wanting to fight back against their competitor Anderson Furniture, so they hired Piper to boost sales. This resulted in all the employees using wrestling to force people to buy merchandise. It's repeated several more times this week and is the second sketch on the show.

The World?s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) will be reuniting for Booker T?s Reality of Wrestling's "Christmas Chaos XI" event on December 13th in Houston, TX.

Dennis Stamp of "Beyond the Mat" fame released a new autobiography entitled "The Stamp Collection" which you can purchase on Amazon by clicking here.

Wednesday night during the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. San Antonio Spurs NBA game that Hulk Hogan & Jimmy Hart attended, Hogan did a posing routine during a break. One of the announcers said Hogan was good, but not as good as the wrestlers he grew up watching, mentioning Rocky Johnson, The Great Mephisto, Haystacks Calhoun, and Man Mountain Mike.

Michael Barry's daughter won 9 Art Photography's 2014 Photobooth Costume Contest. She was dressed as Alice from Alice in Wonderland.
