JR's Blog: Big Week for Ross Report Podcast w/ Hardy Boyz, Q&A's Updated, Wrestle Kingdom 9 on PPV, @TheNotoriousMMA, More Boxing for JR? Order JR's online for the Holidays

Let's grill....

Big week on the Ross Report podcast as today has a great show with former WWE Smackdown Head Writer @alexdgreenfield who talks about the philosophy and process of writing WWE TV, how one can get involved if so inclined and how it was existing in the process that entails long hours and serving many masters as it relates to TV content.

Tuesday night a new Ross Report drops at 9 pm ET with Matt and Jeff Hardy joining me on one of my favorite shows involving two of my favorite people who I've seen grow up before my very eyes. Expect candid conversation and some laughs as well from the two, talented North Carolina brothers.

Also Tuesday I will be talking to both Bryan Alvarez about the new version of the 'Death of WCW' book along with talking to Karl Anderson about the January 4, 2015 Tokyo Dome event that we will both be a part of on PPV. The show will @BryanAlvarez and @Machinegunka Karl Anderson will air in late December. If you check out the homepage of this site you can see all our podcast guests that I've booked through January 2015.

My sincere thanks to all of you for downloading our podcast for FREE at podcastone.com and iTunes. Remember that you can now listen to the Ross Report right here on our website by simply pushing the play button on the homepage by the Ross Report icon.

The Q&A's here are updated at Ask JR and we received some god questions over the weekend. Check them out and submit your's I you choose.

This just in..."Did you ever think that you would see a cat hosting RAW?" Nope....and my wife had to tell me who Grumpy the Cat was. Got a feeling RAW will be DVR'ed tonight and we will be watching the @steelers tonight on MNF.

For all of you that are asking, I do not make the final decision on who I will be working with on January 4th in Tokyo at Wrestle Kingdom 9. Several of you have made some great suggestions on twitter @JRsBBQ. Whoever it will be will be the best person available and I don't expect any on air "bickering" to interrupt the matches. The PPV is about the wrestlers and not about the announcing. The talents make the music and the announcers add the lyrics or that's how I see it. I said that this might be the best, pure wrestling PPV show that I've ever broadcast based on what I've seen online in my prep work. That question will be better addressed after January 4. I have high expectations for both the in ring product and my work describing it.

@Spike TV had to be happy with the look of their Bellator event Saturday night as they went on free tv against @ufc on PPV. Ortiz vs. Bonnar was what it was but the build up via the personal issue storyline was well done. Every fan of any genre or sport can relate to a personal issue 'hook' which is why rivalry games are generally always interesting even when h team's records aren't stellar.

UFC's Conor McGregor has money written all over him if he stays healthy and sane. McGregor has the "it" factor that can't be manufactured. Some will pay to see @TheNotoriousMMA win while many will pay to see him get his ass whipped. It's all about the green as in CASH. Conor is an Attitude Era guy.

We hope to be in LA in 2015 to see @RondaRousey fight. @ufc always treats us wonderfully and my wife and I appreciate it. Ms Rousey is my favorite MMA fighter and if I was WWE I'd figure out a way to book her at WM31 as I suggested right after WM30 was over.

My two primary picks versus the spread came through this weekend as I touted Texas Tech +12.5 and Mississippi State +10.5.

Entertaining an opportunity to do another boxing event on cable in December...stay tuned. Will announce something in a day or two.

Saw a trailer on the film "What Now" this weekend and it's funny as hell. More info and video to come. Release date is after the first of the year. I had a great time being a heel.

Thanks to all who are subscribing for free to the Ross Report Podcast at podcastone.com and at ITunes. Your support is deeply appreciated.

Boomer Sooner!
