Read online today where "sources say" that I'm broadcasting the New Japan PPV on January 4 from Tokyo. Let me make this perfectly clear. I have no deal. I have not personally spoken to Jeff Jarrett since he left WWE with me holding the bag on a blotched contract matter that I should have handled batter. Lesson learned for me. Jeff and I agreed to have him on the Ross Report Podcast that will drop on December 16 via text messages.
So, here's the bottom line, if we do work out something and it's going to take a helluva deal for me to miss my birthday, a weekend in Vegas with my wife and the UFC on January 3 to see @RondaRousey fight to travel to Tokyo to do pro wrestling with a new partner, a new crew and a new talent roster. IF we are able to make a deal, then the publicity seeking "source" can brag that he was right all along.
I'm not looking to do any pro wrestling but I';m also a businessman and if the offer is one that I can't realistically turn down then we will consider it and if we commit I will be "all in" and will travel to Tokyo to do play by play of a pro wrestling match like it was my last one. I did not stop doing pro wrestling commentary because I did not like it. It wasn't my call but it will take a special arrangement for me to want to stick my toe back into that water again. Time will tell but I can swear to everyone that I have no deal as I type this on Thursday October 23 and have ZERO meetings set up to discuss such.
Now...watch out the IWC dissects this info and comes up with their own conclusions after doing a through forensics evaluation of what I have written.
Read what ever you want into this update but I can assure you that every word that I said is true and I'm not using semantics to jack people around.
I saw a You Tube clip today of Joanie Lauer aka Chyna and whether one agrees or not with what she had to say it was great seeing her seemingly back to being her old self. I sure hope that I'm right about that one. @ChynaJoanLauer is her twitter handle and I wish her nothing but the best. She was never an issue while working in WWE when I was the head of talent relations and helped WWE succeed during the Attitude Era as a valued member of our talent roster. She's endured enough challenges and if she sets her mind to it, she can begin to enjoy life again and help many people through her extraordinary journey in life.
One can only imagine how much money she would have drawn with @Kharma back in the day as that would have been a match that I would have paid to see.
Been getting this question and I will admit that I do NOT know the answer but if Impact Wrestling talents were to become available and WWE did not consider hiring some of them to short term deals to work with the WWE's NXT rookies then that is a mistake in my view. Rookies cannot get better working with other rookies nor can they improve without working with their betters in front of a paying crowd 3-4 night per week. It's just that simple. Plus, who knows, the experienced hands may find new life and actually get over which would help the main roster which is somewhat stale at this time.
Q&A's here are updated. Did your's make the cut?
If you watch the first ever Grantland NBA TV Special tonight on ESPN at 7 ET /6 CT you just might hear a familiar voice during the show.
Great feedback on the @MarkMaddenX Ross Report Podcast that is airing right now on podcastone.com and on iTunes where you can subscribe for FREE and never miss a show and go back and easily listen to all our older shows many of which are terrific thanks to some wonderful guests.
This Saturday from noon-3 pm I will be appearing at the @CrestFoods store in Edmond, Oklahoma signing free autographs, visiting with fans and giving away FREE FOOD! Come by and see me if you are in that part of the world.
