NEWS
The image of Sting on his new WWE DVD cover is not a bodybuilder?s body with Sting?s head, it?s actually a WCW photo from almost 20 years ago.

AlternativeNation.net recently spoke with Kane to promote WWE Studios? "See No Evil 2". When asked about the possibility of wrestling Sting, he said ?That would be a dream come true, because Sting is one of the guys who I looked up to when I was a youngster. The dude was the face of WCW, and before that the NWA, one of the most popular wrestlers in history. That would be pretty awesome, and I think that a Sting vs. Undertaker story would be awesome as well, because you would see the faces of two different companies from the same generation collide.? The full interview is available by clicking here.

Mick Foley posted on Twitter about his return on WWE RAW this week, ?Two weeks ago, I said I no longer meant enough in @WWE to be a surprise guest on #RAW like @TheRock. Thanks for proving me wrong!? On a related note, not even Foley?s kids knew that he would be appearing on RAW. His daughter Noelle Foley, who is training to be a wrestler, wrote the following ?WHAT!!!!!! DAD?!?!?! HE DIDNT TELL ME!!!!! I JUST JUMPED UP AND STARTED SCREAMING!!!!! ?My heart is still beating so fast!!!!! That was the single best wrestling surprise of my entire life!!! AHHHHHH!!! I?m still freaking out!!! @realmickfoley YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE IN LOS ANGELES TODAY!!! YOU SNEAKY SUN OF GUN!!!?

Jake Roberts noted this past Friday that there are three spots on his brain that they are concerned about and he will return to the doctor for another MRI in three weeks. He wrote ?Through with tests till next week. Three spots on brain for concern. Will wait three weeks then another mri. Go from there. Positive attitude?.

Terry Funk and Mil Mascaras will be working a show at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan on December 11th. The two will be wrestling each other, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This is probably their first singles match against each other since the late 1970?s.

Jim Ross posted on Twitter about comments between JBL and Jerry Lawler on this week?s RAW when promoting Steve Austin?s podcast. He posted ?Yes I heard the insider talk when @steveaustinBSR podcast was being promoted on Raw. I got the inside joke. Takes no balls. #Classy?.

After last Thursday's "TNA Impact Wrestling", Jim Ross posted on Twitter "Hats off to @REALBobbyRoode @ShowtimeEY @JEFFHARDYBRAND @AustinAries for strong work tonight. Appreciated @OfficialTAZ & @RealMikeTenay too".

A new wrestling TV show with Christopher Daniels, Colt Cabana, A. J. Styles, Lance Storm, & more. They also have Bobby Roode for their next taping, which is notable since TNA contracted talent is not allowed to be on other television shows. The show is called "Voltage" and is based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The show is available to watch worldwide online through Bell Media by clicking here.

Mick Foley interviewed San Francisco Giants outfielder Michael Morse on MLB Network's "MLB Now". You can watch the interview by clicking here.

St. Louis Cardinals catcher A.J. Pierzynski was interviewed on the MLB Network on Monday and was asked who he thought was the most underrated wrestler of all-time was. He said Koko B. Ware, Jimmy Snuka, and The Demon, who was actually Dale Torborg, his former conditioning coach when he played for the Chicago White Sox.

Oklafan congratulates B. M. F. (Rick Russo & Kareem Sadat) who recently surpassed 6 months as SWCW Tag Team Champions. They defeated The Syndicate (Scott Sanders & Shawn Sanders) for the titles at a show in Oklahoma City on April 12, 2014.

Oklafan congratulates Compact King on his recent marriage to his fianc?e Diane.

Oklafan congratulates Richie Adams on his recent marriage to his fianc?e Hayley.

Oklafan extends condolences to Trent Calm, who's father passed away on October 18th.

Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Ken Ramey, who passed away at the age of 84. Ramey began his career as a referee and is considered to be the first to be a turncoat referee who became a manager, an angle that is commonly used today. He also is believed to have innovated the practice of showing a wrestler and the crowd a pantomimed 2-count to indicate that a wrestler had not achieved a pinfall victory. Ramey is mostly associated with The Medics as they had a long run together, continuing after they became The Interns. He also led Paul DeMarco to the United States Title in the San Francisco territory. Ramey was not a manager for long, beginning in the mid-1960s and finishing by 1975, with a brief comeback in 1979. He is, however, regarded as one of the best managers to ever participate in the sport. Ramey had 29 documented appearances in Oklahoma, the earliest on June 23, 1969 were he led The Medics to a victory over Bob Burns & Tony Romano in Tulsa and the last on December 5, 1969, when they lost to Krusher Karlsson & Tarzan Baxter.

Steve Johnson of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story entitled "Ken Ramey was a great referee, manager and booker" which you can read by clicking here.

Oklafan also extends condolences to the family and friends of Ox Baker, who passed away on October 20th at the age of 80. Ox, whose real name was Doug Baker, was a nationally recognized figure who began his career in 1969. He was well known for his Heart Punch finisher, which was publicly credited for killing two wrestlers, Alberto Torres and Ray Gunkel. In actuality, both men suffered heart attacks due to pre-existing conditions, but it made Ox's reputation bigger if he was credited for causing the deaths. Baker also was a big part in the early career of Hulk Hogan, participating in an angle that led to Hogan's first face turn, first World title opportunity and first title win of any kind. Baker held many titles in wrestling, but is notable to us for being a two-time WCCW (then NWA) American Champion. His first title reign came with a victory over Captain USA (aka Big John Studd) on September 30, 1977. He held the title until December 12th of that year when he lost it to Fritz Von Erich. On December 2, 1980, Baker would recapture the title, this time from Bruiser Brody, but would only hold it for 10 days before dropping to a Kerry Von Erich. Outside wrestling, Baker was something of a cult personality in entertainment. He had a minor role in "Escape from New York" and also appeared as a contestant on "The Price Is Right". Baker was a regular on the convention circuit, where he sold copies of his cookbook as well as other memorabilia. Baker has 12 documented Oklahoma appearances. The earliest came on December 19, 1969 in Oklahoma City, were he defeated Red McKim. He made several other sporadic appearances through 1970, culminating on September 11th of that year with a loss to Waldo Von Erich, again in OKC. One final appearance is recorded on October 9, 1977 in OKC, where Baker teamed with Mr. Sakurada and lost to David & Kevin Von Erich.

SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story entitled "Wrestling legend Ox Baker passes away" which you can read by clicking here.

Greg Oliver of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story entitled "Everyone's got a Ox story" which you can read by clicking here.
