Look in the mirror

Look in the mirror

I would venture to say that most of the modern wrestlers grew up watching and loving the sport. What is it that attracted you to wrestling in the first place? For me, it was the larger than life bodies and personalities. These men were real-life superheroes and villains. It was rare that you would see the wrestler that looked like your average Joe down the road.

Nowadays I see ?pro wrestlers? with no ambition to get in shape, sloppy gear, and little-to-no in ring work ability. They look like they got off of their job at the what-a-burger, changed clothes and hopped into the ring.

I realize that many of us share the same dream and not everyone has the same genetic potential to get to the highest level, but put yourself in the shoes of the fan. If you were in the front row would you want to pay your hard-earned money to see someone who looks and works the way you do? If the answer is unequivocally ?yes? then congratulations. You are either a true professional, a liar, or delusional. If you answered ?no? or had to think about it?GET TO WORK!!! Quit stealing money from the fans. They choose to see you instead of the thousand other things that it could go to. Respect that fact.

Too many professional wrestlers focus on being the wrestler. Be a professional.
