NEWS
As of August 28th, Brian Blair is the new president of the Cauliflower Alley Club. He is replacing Nick Bockwinkel, who is stepping down to allow the club to flourish under Blair's leadership. Bockwinkel was scheduled to step down in April 2015 but felt that waiting until April will just delay the great ideas that he and Blair have discussed over the past few months. Blair will assume both the Chairman of the Board and CEO positions as he has extensive experience in corporate business and non- profit organizations. Brian plans to be a very active President and certainly the club will continue to be in good hands with him in charge.

Zeb Colter has returned to Twitter and returned to WWE TV last night on RAW. Colter has been quiet since taking the kick from Rusev at "SummerSlam" and hasn?t been on TV since then. It was reported that he was injured from the kick but also may have been injured outside of the ring recently. He posted on Twitter last weekend "HELLO @WWE UNIVERSE. AFTER AN EXTENDED ABSENCE, I HAVE RETURNED. ANYBODY MISS ME? #WeThePeople".

A video featuring post-RAW interviews with Rob Van Dam and Ric Flair is available by clicking here.

According to a report from SportsWorldNews.com NXT Women?s Champion, Charlotte may be headed to the main roster soon. Word going around is that if Bayley wins the title from Charlotte at "NXT Takeover II" on September 11th, Charlotte will be making her main roster debut alongside her father, Ric Flair. Reason behind this is so WWE can give Flair a long-term stint on the main roster, which they have been trying to plan out for some time. Flair has made some recent appearances with the company, having been involved in segments with Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Shawn Michaels and more. The report is speculation and not official from WWE.

Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald interviews a number of NXT talent and trainers including Sara Amato, Bill DeMott, Charlotte, Terry Taylor, Corey Graves and Mojo Rawley as well as footage of classes. You can view the video by clicking here.

ME-TV's "Svengoolie" will be showing "The Werewolf of London" on Saturday night starting at 9pm Central. Mick Foley will be co-hosting. Check local listing for times and channels in your area.

WWE has allowed several of their talents to appear on podcasts for Steve Austin and Chris Jericho but not Jim Ross. A fan on Twitter asked Ross about Ric Flair possibly appearing on The Ross Report and JR replied with "No. Flair?s a wwe guy. WWE hasn?t approved any podcast guests for me."

Apparently the Jim Ross podcast with Tony Schiavone was a real sleeper. Schiavone hasn't talked pro wrestling much in the last dozen years, having moved on to a career doing sports, including baseball, which was always his first love. The show has also done tremendous numbers.

Jim Ross was on the sidelines for the University of Oklahoma?s football win over Louisiana Tech in Norman, OK last Saturday afternoon. A picture of Ross on the sidelines was posted on Twitter. You can see the picture by clicking here.

A fan on Twitter recently wrote the following, "#WWENetwork Seriously, WWE completely glossed over @Goldberg. Pivotal part in the Monday Night War(s) and why WCW was kicking WWE?s ass." Goldberg, who recorded a podcast with Dallas Page this past week, replied with the following: "Totally expected".

Scout.com has an article about Sting?s son Steven Borden, who is a senior & tight-end at the University of Kentucky. It doesn?t look like Borden will be following in his father?s footsteps as one of his coaches Vince Marrow commented, "I was blown away when I first found out who his dad was and they came on their official visit. But you can tell that some kids just don?t want to live in their father?s shadow. He wants to write that own chapter of his life. And, I?m telling you, the kid is really putting in the work. He wants to be a great football player."

Oklafan congratulates Compact King on the birth of his granddaughter Madelyn on August 28th.

Jake Roberts passed out during the flight to Las Vegas, NV last Wednesday and was allegedly in a coma until Thursday afternoon. It has been reported that he has double pneumonia, a mass on his brain, and fluid in his lungs. It was also reported that his immune system was in bad shape. He was moved to another Las Vegas hospital on Friday. More tests were conducted by doctors also on Friday. Dallas Page noted that Jake is ?pretty grumpy? but he is talkative. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Sinn Bodhi posted on Twitter the following update on Jake Roberts last Friday night from a hospital in Las Vegas, "With @JakeSnakeDDT at hospital, he?s more worried about disappointing fans then getting better! We told him 2 shut up &beat this pneumonia!"

On Saturday, Bohdi posted "UPDATE on Jake The Snake Roberts: Jake is NOT in a coma! Please don?t believe crappy gossip? Jake still has Phnemonia. He is not getting enough oxygen so he has been sedated and put on a ventilator? (Sedated only because the procedure is painful). Doctors have to wait & see how he responds before they can continue with MRI & other tests as the Ventilator is inhibiting but nessecary? And until the Phnemonia is cleared up it is preventing Docs from seeing what the underlying problems are. Docs can only speculate on how long he will be in this state. ?#?GetBetterJake? You can leave Jake Get-well-messages on Twitter @JakeSnakeDDT". On Sunday, another update was posted by Bohdi, "UPDATE on Jake the Snake Roberts: Today Jake underwent a Bronchoscopy? An evasive surgery to remove flem etc trapped in his lungs? He is breathing better but still on ventilator. In the moments of Jake being awake from sedation today he was telling jokes & messing with nurses! That is a good sign!!! That?s Jake being Jake! Tomorrow or next day docs will give Jake oxygen tests to see how well he can breath without ventilator and proceed from there? GetBetterJake".

Sinn Bohdi gave another Jake Roberts update on Monday ?UPDATE on Jake the Snake Roberts: Jake is making progress on his breathing treatments quicker then expected! Hopefully be off ventilator in a couple days? He?s resilient! Today when he was awake I joked with the doctors & asked if they could give him fake boobs or at least a face transplant? Jake smiled & gave me the finger lol Which means he?s feeling better! ‪#‎FeelBetterJake‬?.

According to a report from F4WOnline.com, Kyle McGee, who is a lawyer, roommate, and manager of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, sent a letter to Pro Wrestling writer Bill Apter, detailing that the mass that was found in Jake's brain, was in fact a brain abnormality. In the letter, McGee speculated that the abnormality was caused from Jake's long career inside a wrestling ring, and all the bumps he had taken. Contrary to previous reports, which have stated that Jake passed out on the flight to Las Vegas, according to McGee, Jake notified flight attendants that he was suffering of shortness of breath and severe pain. After Jake had arrived at the hospital, doctors apparently put him in an induced coma. McGee also commented in the letter that Jake had been sick for at least a week, before checking into the hospital.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal has a brief article about Jake Roberts and Freakshow Wrestling, the event Jake was flying to Las Vegas for. It was noted that Freakshow planned to take up a collection from fans at their event this weekend to help with Jake?s medical bills. Former WWE star Rikishi filled in for Jake on that event. WENN wrote a story entitled "Jake 'The Snake' Roberts hospitalized with pneumonia" which you can read on SLAM! Wrestling by clicking here.
