NEWS
PWInsider confirms previous reports that Sting has his WWE deal but has not signed yet, as of a few days ago. The deal has been done in principle for some time now. They also confirm the reports that Sting isn?t expected to be wrestling on a regular basis for WWE.

On the Sting/WWE deal, WWE sent Sting his contract several days ago, but as of Friday, he had not returned it. The belief is they were on terms and an agreement is in place, but as of Friday, pen to paper on Sting?s side hadn?t been returned. There is no indication of any serious hold-up at least from the WWE side. Those in the company even before WrestleMania were working with the impression he was on board. The deal that is described as being "not just a Legends Contract, but for a TV role."

There was an edict sent out by WWE officials in the arena at last night?s WWE RAW in Birmingham, AL for security to remove any Sting related signs that were seen in the crowd.

Zeb Colter says he?s looking for someone to replace Cesaro in the Real Americans stable with Jack Swagger. He posted on Twitter ?INTERVIEWING A FEW CANDIDATES TO JOIN @RealJackSwagger #RealAmericans TO REPLACE THAT SNEAKY @WWECesaro. ANY SUGGESTIONS? @WWE @JCLayfield?.

Mick Foley and other wrestlers on Twitter had high praise for the Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett match on last night?s RAW. Foley posted ?EVERYONE wins in a match like the one @WadeBarrett & @HEELZiggler just had. Great match by two great @WWE Superstars. #RAW?.

Jim Ross was a late addition to WrestleMania XXX Axxess and appeared in the front row with his wife at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. There was a belief that WWE was making nice with Ross to keep him from joining Jeff Jarrett?s promotion, which we now know will be called Global Force Wrestling. There were some rumblings that Ross was going to call The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania, but there was some concern that it would telegraph the finish.

Jim Ross has updated the Q&A section on JRsBarBQ.com and was asked what he thinks about The Shield breaking up. Ross replied, ?I think it?s best it ALL the Shield break up eventually but no time soon. Perhaps around the Royal Rumble build in 2015.?

WWE issued a survey last week to some fans on their mailing list, seeking feedback on WrestleMania XXX and the WWE Network. The survey asked fans if they were happy with the end of The Undertaker?s Streak. It also asked who should have ended The Streak. The choices were: Brock Lesnar, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Roman Reigns, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Damien Sandow and ?no one.?

Nancy Grace of Headline News pissed off the worst fan base she could have possibly pissed off by airing a disrespectful piece on the Warrior?s and other wrestlers? death yesterday on her show. Grace put a list of wrestlers who died early in their careers insinuating that all of them died of drugs and steroids, including none other than Owen Hart, who absolutely had nothing to do with the subject, and others who passed from different conditions. A doctor who joined via Skype talked about steroids and the effect they had on the bodies and Grace kept insinuating that Warrior passed from his long term use of steroids even though police have not released any information yet. Diamond Dallas Page, who joined Grace on set, tried to defend the business but had zero chance of doing it as Grace kept her usual idiotic journalist view on professional wrestling. Vince McMahon, who rarely uses Twitter unless it?s something big, tweeted, ?If anything the wrestling world trolled @NancyGraceHLN because she had to put the words ?BIG DICK DUDLEY? on the screen. #RIPUltimateWarrior? ?We all make mistakes NancyGraceHLN. Please admit you made one regarding the death of #OwenHart. You have caused his family great pain,? said Mick Foley. A lot of others in the wrestling business reacted negatively to the piece on there Twitter, and it?s being urged to use ?#boycottnancy? in posts to get it trending. Her name was and is trending worldwide following the segment.

After Nancy Grace of Headline News reported that several wrestlers died due to steroid usage, even those that died due to an accident such as Owen Hart and referee Joey Marella, Zeb Colter posted on Twitter "Hey @NancyGraceHLN, there's this new thing out now...it's called FACTS. Use it sometime. @UltimateWarrior #boycottnancy @HLNTV".

Dallas Page commented on his appearance on Nancy Grace: I went on Nancy Grace last night expecting to discuss Warrior the man. Had I known the only topic discussed would be steroids I would not have participated. At the time I was also unaware of the list that was shown to the viewing audience. To imply that all of the wrestlers on that list died from steroids was wrong and for that they owe the families an apology. Again, my only intention was to discuss Warrior the man and share some stories about how dedicated he was to the wrestling business. I am saddened that was not what happened and my thoughts remain with his family.

The Iron Sheik posted on Twitter "Nancy Grace YOU FAT DUMB B**** I beat the f*** out of you talk bad about my wrestling brother. GO F*** YOURSEFL YOU DEAD DOG W****". (Note: This was edited by Oklafan not Sheik).

TMZ.com posted a story stating The Iron Sheik thinks The Undertaker's loss at WrestleMania was a conspiracy. You can read the story by clicking here.

Oklafan extends its condolences to the family and friends of The Ultimate Warrior, who passed away last Tuesday at the age of 54. Warrior, was born James Brian Hellwig on June 16, 1959, but legally changed his name to Warrior in 1993. He was one of four members of Power Team USA alongside Garland Donoho, Mark Miller, and Steve Borden. They trained under Red Bastien and Rick Bassman. Donoho and Miller soon left the wrestling business, and Hellwig and Borden struck out on their own. They debuted in Memphis as The Freedom Fighters with Hellwig as Justice and Borden as Flash, and they were managed by Dutch Mantell. They soon made their way to the UWF where Hellwig and Borden became The Blade Runners, Rock and Sting respectively, and under the tutelage of Eddie Gilbert. After a dispute with UWF owner Cowboy Bill Watts, The Blade Runners split up with Sting staying in UWF and Hellwig heading to Texas and World Class Championship Wrestling. He reinvented himself as The Dingo Warrior. Initially under the guidance of Gary Hart, Warrior eventually turned on Hart and embraced the fans, joining Lance Von Erich and winning the WCCW World Tag Team Titles. He also captured the WCCW Texas Heavyweight Title during his time there. By 1989, Warrior was in the WWF and under the name he is best known, The Ultimate Warrior. Quickly making an impression with his hard-rock theme music, colorful make-up, high-energy ring entrance, and unique promos, Warrior ended The Honky Tonk Man's record-setting WWF Intercontinental Title reign. He lost the title to Rick Rude, but regained it a few months later. On April 1, 1990 at WrestleMania VI, Warrior defeated WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan in a Title-vs-Title match, becoming the first person to hold both the World Title and the Intercontinental Title simultaneously. Warrior proudly defended the World Title against all comers until the Royal Rumble in 1991, when due to the actions of Randy Savage, he lost the title to Sgt. Slaughter. Warrior remained in the WWF until SummerSlam 1991 when financial negotiations resulted in him being fired. He made a surprising return in 1996, but did not remain around for long. In 1998, now just calling himself Warrior, he came to WCW to rekindle his feud with Hogan and, by extension, the nWo. It was another brief stay and the last match he had in the national spotlight. Warrior remained out of the ring for most of the next 15 years, except for one appearance in Spain in 2008 where he defeated Orlando Jordan. He became well known as an outspoken conservative, highly critical of the professional wrestling industry and Vince McMahon in particular. But reconciliation came to pass as Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5, 2014. Warrior had 8 documented Oklahoma wrestling appearances. The first for UWF on March 29, 1986 in Oklahoma City, where he and Sting, as The Blade Runners, defeated Brett Sawyer and Dave Petersen. His last documented match in Oklahoma was for WWF on June 22, 1992 in Oklahoma City where he defeated Papa Shango.

He said, "On April 8 at 5:50 pm 54-year-old ?Warrior? James B Hellwig collapsed while walking with his wife to their car at the Gainy Suites Hotel in Scottsdale, Ariz. Scottsdale Fire transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after arrival. At this point in the investigation, it appears as though a catastrophic medical condition caused his death."

Bret also commented on Warrior?s use of steroids over the years by saying "I don?t think it would be a surprise to know he took steroids for a long time and I don?t know if he ever stopped."

TMZ reported that The Ultimate Warrior was seen clutching his chest moments before he collapsed at an Arizona hotel on Tuesday, according to their law enforcement sources who spoke with eye witnesses. They report that Warrior was walking down a hallway at the Gainey Suites Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ, headed toward his car with his wife, when he stopped, clutched his chest and went down. He never recovered. Sources told TMZ that officials believe Warrior suffered a ?catastrophic medical event? and so far, there is no evidence to show drugs or alcohol were a factor in his death. All signs point to a massive heart attack. An investigation is underway and an autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.

TMZ noted that The Ultimate Warrior posed for photos with fans at the airport in New Orleans around 6am on Tuesday morning. He was said to be in great spirits and offered to take photos with any fan who approached him. TMZ also posted on Twitter "Warrior collapsed outside an Arizona hotel at 5:50 PM on April 8th ? while walking to his car with his wife. Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital ? where he was pronounced dead." TMZ also spoke to people that were with The Ultimate Warrior during WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans and they note that he looked to be in rough shape all weekend. They noted that he appeared to be in constant pain, sweaty and looked very uncomfortable. It was apparent to the people around him that something was seriously off. People also took notice when Warrior looked weak after doing his signature rope shake on RAW. One of their sources said, ?We all felt like he looked like he was going to blow a gasket. It was pretty easy to see.?

TMZ reports that The Ultimate Warrior died from a massive heart attack, according to the medical examiner who conducted his autopsy last week. Officials told TMZ that the cause of death was determined to be ?Atherosclerotic/Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease? or heart disease. The medical examiner classified Warrior?s death as natural, meaning neither drugs nor alcohol were directly involved.

Wrestling fan Matthew Balk talked about seeing Ultimate Warrior the day of his passing. He said "I was at the airport this morning. He looked perfectly fine. We talked very briefly, he took pics with us, signed a few things, he thanked us for traveling from Detroit to see him get inducted, and then we left. As we were walking away, he was chatting with a TSA person about the hall of fame as he waited for his wife and kids, who were getting Dunkin? Donuts before going through the gate. Very sad. I?ve met him four times over the years and he was always a class act to fans."

I don't believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling. Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided. I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers." To view the picture. click here.

Steve Wilton who managed Warrior Entertainment along with the Ultimate Warrior himself issued a statement yesterday regarding the passing of Warrior. Wilton wrote that Warrior was the happiest he?s ever seen him since bringing the Ultimate Warrior character back to the WWE and was honored to have spent the weekend in New Orleans with Warrior, his wife Dana, and their two daughters Mattigan and Indiana. The full statement reads as follows: ?I am shocked and profoundly saddened by the death of my friend Warrior. He was a great man and leaves behind a legacy that will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who knew him personally, and his legions of Ultimate Warrior fans. My thoughts and prayers go out to Warrior's beautiful family, his wife Dana and their daughters Mattigan and Indiana. No words are strong enough to express my feeling for them at this time. I was honored to be able to spend the weekend with Warrior and his family at WrestleMania 30 and have never seen a prouder father or more loving family. Warrior was the happiest I had ever seen him to bring Ultimate Warrior back home to WWE and share that unmistakeable passion and excitement with each and every Ultimate Warrior fan around the world. I wish I'd been kinder to him in the last moments that we had this past weekend at WrestleMania 30,? wrote Hart, who admitted that even though the two crossed paths once or twice, he never went out of his way to see him. Hart said that the two never really worked together and he never harmed him or anything, it?s just things didn?t fall into place during the weekend because everyone was so busy. ?His final ring promo breaks my heart. I've many fond memories of times we shared, only now do they pile up in my head. I'd also tell him that he was right, he never was such a bad guy. My thoughts are with his wife and children. I never thought his time would be so short. I know one thing, I will never forget him,? Hart concluded. Meanwhile, Sting posted a previously unseen photo of the two together from Thanksgiving 1985 just before they went to start a wrestling career. ?Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided,? Sting wrote. ?I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers.?
