NEWS
There is a new blog dedicated to the original Mid-South Wrestling, run by Bill Watts. The name of the blog is "They Buried The Cowboy Under The Russian Flag" and it will recount the days of MSW. You can read the blogs by going to RussianFlagBurial.blogspot.com. The title of the blog is the line Jim Ross said after Bill Watts was laid out by Eddie Gilbert and Korstia Korchenko and they draped the Russian flag over him. It is listed by several wrestling fans and people who have worked in wrestling as one of their all time favorite wrestling angles.

Brett DiBiase, son of Ted DiBiase, has been removed from WWE?s Florida Championship Wrestling website. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that DiBiase was released. Brett was scheduled to be brought up to the main roster until he blew out his knee. The original plan was to form a faction involving him, his brother Ted Jr., and Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty) called The Fortunate Sons, but the idea was dropped before he could return to action.

WWE Classics on Demand has 90s month, which includes Clash of Champions 20 and SuperBrawl 6, matches from Smoky Mountain Wrestling and five Steve Austin matches. What is interesting is they have an Austin vs. Bill Dundee match from 1990 on it.

TNA's iMPACT! show will be undergoing a name change and will now be going under the name of iMPACT! Wrestling from the next broadcast. There was some confusion as to whether the name change reflected only the particular show or the company in general as there were rumors that the TNA letters were going to be dropped. Earlier this week Hogan tweeted that it is now iMPACT! Wrestling and "no TNA" but when fans asked Jeff Jarrett about the name change, Jarrett said that only the TV show is changing its name from iMPACT! to iMPACT! Wrestling. The company also took over the domain name ImpactWrestling as it is now registered to TNA Entertainment.

Mick Foley's fund raising drive for RAINN is continuing through Sunday. He's put together an auction site for some items with 100% of the revenue, minus the eBay charges, going to RAINN. Click here for the auction site.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Ric Flair?s shoulder injury rotator cuff tear is at the top of the shoulder. The front and back are fine and the Nature Boy is able to lift light weights without much discomfort. Flair worked the "Lockdown" PPV match, and came away without a lot of pain. Flair was scheduled for surgery, but is putting it off since it would require six months of rehab.

There are negotiations to move the Ric Flair ?Whoo U (University)" television commercial to states outside of North Carolina, based on the success they are having in the Tar Heel state. Flair was reportedly paid $200,000 for doing the commercials.

Flair also recently filmed a pilot for a reality show with himself and another wrestling icon, ?Rowdy? Roddy Piper, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Shane Douglas has joined a group called Renegade Wrestling Alliance in West Newton, PA.

One half of the current Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champions and former WWE Superstar, Charlie Haas joined Jonel Jaksa on WDFN in Detroit, MI to talk about ROH?s return to the Detroit area last Friday, May 6th, how ROH restored his and tag team partner Shelton Benjamin?s passion for wrestling, what he disliked most about working at WWE, and much more.
