NEWS
Legal procedings between Rob Biggins and Pete Maguire over the ownership of the ring name "Rocco Valentino" ended on Tuesday in Biggins' favor. Maguire had sued Biggins for trademark violation over the course of several years, suggesting that he owned the Valentino name.

According to Fighting Spirit Magazine, Jerry Lawler is dating 21 year old WWE developmental Diva Su Yung. Yung is using the name Sonia in FCW and got her start in the Memphis, Tennessee independent scene, for Lawler?s Memphis Wrestling and other promotions.

While JBL was the "choice" for Michael Cole to be the special guest referee at WrestleMania, the honor went to Stone Cold Steve Austin, who ended up signing the contract after delivering the stunner on JBL and ruining Cole's party. Austin has been rumored to have a spot at WrestleMania for a while now and refereeing the Cole vs. Jerry Lawler match was the perfect balance not to take the spotlight away from The Rock's hosting gig. Austin will be on TV every week for ten weeks following WrestleMania with the introduction of Tough Enough, which will start airing on April 4. The first episode will air after RAW however the other nine will serve as the lead-in for WWE's flagship show.

Beth Phoenix posted the following on Twitter in reaction to WWE negiotating with Strikeforce?s Cris Cyborg: "Rumours of Chris Cyborg coming to WWE are?..Interesting?its easy to dominate in any fighting division without the Glamazon. In WWE? Prepare to humbled by yours truly.?

Jim Ross posted the following on Twitter about Cyborg being courted by WWE: "Cris Cyborg deal looks like her camp wants more $$ from Strikeforce. IMO Cyborg not coming to WWE."

Bob Armstrong will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his sons Scott Armstrong, Brad Armstrong, Steve Armstrong, and Brian James. Scott Armstrong returned to WWE as a referee a few weeks back and Brian James is former WWE star "Road Dogg" Jesse James and former TNA star B. G. James.

Jim Ross posted on Twitter: "Sir Oliver Humperdink was scheduled to have surgery this wk but had to be cancelled due 2 Hump having pneumonia & weak heart & lungs. Pray"

Sir Oliver Humperdink was told last week that surgery to remove his cancer is no longer an option due to his deteriorating health from battling pneumonia. Reportedly, he made the decision to enter hospice care rather than undergo chemotherapy. According to his brother Lou Sutton, Humperdink hasn?t made his final decision on what he is going to do next. He said he will probably enter hospice care, but is considering if he could take low doses of chemotherapy and if it will have a shot at shrinking the tumor.

Hulk Hogan wrote on his Twitter that fellow WWE Hall of Famer and long time personal friend Jimmy Hart is on his way back to WWE to be a part of WrestleMania. While no angle has been shot yet, Hogan said that Hart is going to be Jerry Lawler's manager at WrestleMania as he prepares to take on Michael Cole in Lawler's first WrestleMania match of his career. "I just hope it's not a one off like the Rock," said Hogan. "Jimmy still lives for being right in the middle of all the action, he did what was best for himself." Hart managed over 40 Superstars and more than 10 tag teams during his long, storied career.

Hulk Hogan now says he was just guessing when he wrote that Jimmy Hart would be managing Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania.

WWE was not happy with Hogan on Twitter talking about Jimmy Hart coming in as manager of Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania, so one WWE source said they wouldn't be surprised to see footage this coming week of both Triple H and Undertaker beating Hogan.

The Honky Tonk Man posted on Twitter: "Confirmation of our original tease has been confirmed. Jimmy Hart has left TNA to return to WWE. Hogan is not happy & didnt know."

Honky Tonk Man wrote on Facebook: "Is Hogan out of TNA? Can Dixie pay the Hogan payday after giving Flair his whole contract in advance to pay his lawsuits and pay back the wrestlers for his bar tabs they fronted him on? Strange things are happening in TNA. I say Hogan is gone ASAP."

Honky Tonk Man also posted: "Mark May 7th 2011 in your book, the date is firm. Jimmy Superfly Snuka?s Birthday Bash in Somerset NJ . HTM will be there!!"

Turning 52 years of age in two weeks time, Sting has become TNA World Champion for the third time after he successfully defeated Jeff Hardy during Thursday's episode of "TNA iMPACT!" which was taped last week in Fayetteville, NC in front of over 3,000 fans. Sting has been off TNA television since the iMPACT! after Bound For Glory last year and his contract expired a couple of months afterward. Following WWE's 2-21-11 promo that aired on RAW several weeks ago, rumors started to pop up that Sting was finally coming to WWE to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania, a rumor that most in the company always denied. TNA did their own 2-21-11 spinoff last week, with a similar promo involving a man in a trench coat, walking to a cabin in the middle of a rainy night with the date 3-3-11 at the end. Unlike WWE's promo and fan's expectations however, the former six time WCW World Heavyweight champion was the man TNA promoted in the trench coat and gave him the title on his first night back with the company in five months. You can see his entrance and the full match by clicking here.

The Fight Network in Canada will be airing unedited and commercial free, several different Lockdown PPVs from TNA over the next several weeks. The 2005 version, headlined by A. J. Styles vs. Abyss, airs on 3/20 at 5 p.m. The 2006 version, with Team Sting vs. Team Jarrett airs on 3/27 at 5 p.m. The 2008 version, headlined by Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe in one of the most famous matches in TNA history, airs 4/3 at 5 p.m. the 2009 version, headlined by Mick Foley beating Sting to win the TNA title, which was the focus of Foley's latest book, airs on 4/10 at 5 p.m. And last year's show, headlined by Team Hogan vs. Team Flair airs on 4/17 at 5 p.m.

Ric Flair?s legal issues with Highspots.com were recently settled out of court reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Highspots released a Ric Flair shoot DVD (a DVD release where Flair was paid a record amount) and complained that Flair owed them money and attempted to sell his NWA World Title belt. It was later discovered that Flair had used the belt as collateral on a different prior loan.

ShopTNA.com has added new t-shirts for Sting and Beer Money.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan has opened his official web site at JimDuggan.net.

Bret Hart did a Q&A on Twitter. Biggest influences to get into wrestling were Dory & Terry Funk and his older brothers. Current wrestler he feels the most promising is Daniel Bryan. Said he's on excellent terms with WWE but no plans going forward. Said if asked, he'd induct Shawn Michaels into the Hall of Fame, but Triple H makes more sense. When asked the best all-around performers in WWE, he said Randy Orton, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio. He said Chris Benoit was the best Canadian wrestler of modern times. He also got a few digs in on Bruce Hart, in response to Bruce's book. When asked if any of his brothers train wrestlers, he said, "My brother Bruce pretends to, but it's more a school where you learn everything not to do." When asked who created the sharpshooter, he said, "Sure as hell not my brother Bruce." In Bruce's book, he claimed to have taught Bret the sharpshooter. For the record, Bret has always said it was Konnan who taught him, and the guy who popularized it was Riki Choshu. I think it was invented by Masa Saito. Least favorite opponent was Badnews Allen. Favorites were Owen Hart, Steve Austin, The British Bulldogs and Curt Hennig.

With so many wrestling fans in Atlanta for WrestleMania, Roddy Piper is doing a "Roddy Piper and Friends" talk show at The Punchline in Atlanta on 4/1 and 4/2. That on the surface seems like pretty smart booking.

A story on the late Bob Probert of NHL fame being diagnosed with CTE is available here. A trivia note is that Probert was one of Ric Flair's all-time favorite NHL players

Oklafan extends its condolences to the family & friends of Michael "Beau" Rogers, who passed away recently at the age of 36.
