Thanks for stopping by and paying us a visit. Be sure and take a quick look at our newly re-designed store as we have lowered prices with some packages starting at under ten bucks, plus shipping and handling. Hopefully you will think of us when preparing to launch your shopping for the holidays. Nothing 'cryptic' about this message as we need for business to pick up not unlike many other small businesses in America. My personal thanks to all the incompetent politicians for their amazing efforts in putting the USA in ridiculous debt and over managing the land of the free and the home of the brave. Next...

Lots of random thoughts that have come from your emails to our Q&A section of this website or Tweets @JRsBBQ...

Great talents such as Steve Austin and the Rock would have been ultra successful today in the PG land of WWE as they were in TV14 days during the Attitude Era. Prime time players are able to adapt to their audience and the rules of engagement. For anyone to think that the Attitude Era alone made Austin and Rock stars is naive and misguided. Can you imagine the buzz that the 'Texas Rattlesnake' and the 'Great One' would create if they were performing in WWE today? No one would notice the TV program rating I can assure you. Same goes for Shawn Michaels, among others, who had/have 'it' no matter the generation. Some emailers are over thinking this matter but over thinking things in the world of pro wrestling isn't a revelation nowadays either. How would you like to have any one of the three, aforementioned men booked at WM27?

Nice opening salvo of WWE Legends for the three hour, November 15 Raw in Hershey, Pa. Several WWE HOF'er including Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter, Iron Sheik, Jimmy Snuka along with my old, Mid South pal Hacksaw Jim Duggan. I have no idea how these talents will be utilized but it will be fun to watch them on the tube and I would bet a new, bigger, resealable bag of some of the world's greatest, J.R.'s Beef Jerky that many of them will be funnier than Pee Wee Herman.

Building with youth is a must in today's wrestling world but there also needs to be balance between veterans and newbies but how much balance is debatable. Those north of 4-0 that resist providing the young guys with an adequate 'rub,' which is not unlike what many of the now, 'old timers' received, is near sighted and selfish. Not to mention very, very stupid of the decision makers who facilitate such ludicrous planning.

There is no magic formula to automatically create a star but I can assure you this....if a wrestler doesn't get on a noticeable and well marketed 'roll' it won't happen. Guaranteed.

No, emailer, I do not think that WWE and TNA will get into a mutual, 'on air war' as that matter is a waste of time and poorly positions the brand that perpetuates said nonsense. What does WWE have to gain to even recognize TNA's existence and go on a 'knock fest' against the TNA brand? When TNA goes on their WCW-like, WWE shutouts it feels old, out of touch, and always remember than when one is talking about another's brand they are not talking about their own.

Who was better in their prime, HBK or Ric Flair? How could answering either be incorrect? Who is the greatest of all time in the history of the business? I get asked that question weekly and BTW I don't know the answer. People have different criteria as to what determines who is better than the rest. Is is tickets sold, longevity, name identity, legit athletic skill, showmanship, or a dozen other criteria than could be viably utilized in determining 'the best ever?' I will say that both Ric and Shawn would definitely be in my short list of all time greats and if I put together a dream roster of talent they both would be on it without question. Bottom line there is no conclusive, correct answer to the question, who is the best ever?

Our new, J.R.'s Main Event Mustard will be out soon. We finished the labeling process along with the FDA business last week and I hope to have the product in stock within two weeks and in time for the holiday shopping season. This new condiment is a jalape?o honey mustard that is full of flavor but not overwhelming heat and has NO FAT, NO CHOLESTEROL, and has only 1 gram of carbs.

It seems like the Brock Lesnar-Undertaker media spike from last week has cooled and is seemingly now a mute point. The odds of any type of presentation at WM27 between the two, big time players was always a long shot and now I don't even feel that it 's remotely possible and for a variety of reasons.

Yes...I thought in the late 80's and for a few years afterwords that the SST was a helluva, athletic, reality based tag team that honestly blows away any established and active tag team today. The tag team scene in the late 80's and early 90's destroys today's tag team action simply because of the lack of quality, tag team depth that we see today. That's too bad for this old school fan. Quality, tag team interaction today would be new for many younger fans and subsequently out of successful tag teams spins out some significant singles stars.

The embattled, NFL wide receiver Randy Moss reminds me of a bitter, "I should be used on top," aging, main event wrestler from generations ago who would up and leave a territory at the drop of a hat if their push was ceased which was usually always blamed on the decision makers and some sort of 'conspiracy.' Many older wrestlers will debate this point but those that put their own agendas ahead of any company that they work for are looking at their profession in a less than healthy manner as it can't always be "what about me?" but more "what about us?"

Hey, there is, again, nothing 'cryptic' about my sales messages. We know that we have a great product and that you will love my Mom's, Original BBQ Sauce recipe and our HOT BBQ Sauce, too. There is nothing better than our smoky, Chipotle Ketchup while many say that our new, Beef Jerky (97% Fat Free) is the best that they've ever had. Yes...we need to increase our sales and are hoping that the upcoming holiday season helps us. I've always been honest and up front on this site and even though our business is growing in a positive manner we, like any other business, can always do more sales and need to do more. So, nothing cryptic about my messages...we need and appreciate your business plus with the freebies that we include with your orders, the signed swag that we throw in, and the simple fact that you will be purchasing the best sauces, etc around I feel that we all win.

As an emailer wrote, I too enjoyed C.M. Punk's recent foray at the announce table and felt he was insightful and entertaining. Will Punk do more commentary? Beats me as I don't know how high a priority it is these days to address what we hear on our wrestling, TV shows but Punk has potential in that role. Another guy who I think would do well on color commentary is Christian. Smart, glib and informed which are all positive attributes of a good, wrestling commentator. Bottom line for any announcer is to always prioritize the talents and enhance all their company's performers and make them all have more value while not embellishing a wrestler's weakness and always enhancing a wrestler's assets.

Remember that on Wednesday I do my radio show appearances beginning at 4:30 on AM1400 The Ref in Norman and then on Wednesday at 6:10 pm I'm on with Sean and John in Houston on http://www.1560thegame.com Both shows can be heard on line.

Flying to College Station Texas this Friday with the OU team as they make a dangerous foray into Big 12 South play against the Texas A&M Aggies on always, challenging Kyle Field. This is a slobber knocker waiting to happen and my Sooners will need to play hard, smart and get a break or two to win on the road in very hostile surroundings. I love the atmosphere at A&M and the history of the university but some, not all, of the arrogant, uniformed cadets can be a pain in the ass with their over bearing attitudes...I'm just saying.

The Q&A Section of the site is updated. Its new reading material that's quick and easy.

Looking for ideas on a potential book concept. If I wrote about the 25 most intriguing and interesting people that I have worked with in the biz, who would be on your 'must read' list? Just email your suggestions to me at the Q&A Section of the site if you want to help. Thanks, in advance, for the assist.
