NEWS
Michael Barry will be a guest on "MWA Radio Network" with host Scott James this coming Thursday starting at 10pm. To listen to the show, click here.

The Oklahoma Pro Wrestling School announced last week that former Mid South Wrestling, UWF, and WCCW star Steve Cox has been named senior trainer and adviser.

WWE Legends Series 2 action figures are in stores now including Target. The series contains Jimmy Snuka, Terry Funk, Rick Rude, Kamala, The Iron Sheik, and Jake Roberts.

Jim Ross stated the following on his official Twitter page on Friday afternoon regarding WWE?s release of Matt Hardy: ?WWE has come to terms on the release of Matt Hardy. Know no details just that fact. Good luck to Matt. Probably best 4 all involved.?

The WWE Vintage Collection TV show over the weekend aired 1987 and 1988 matches from Boston, with Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Hercules, The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) vs. The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques Rougeau & Raymond Rougeau), The Honky Tonk Man vs. Ken Patera, and The Ultimate Warrior & Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) vs. Mr. Fuji & Demolition (Ax & Smash).

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reported price WWE paid to Verne Gagne and family for the AWA tape library in 2003 was $3 million.

A new major slew of potential issues were released about Linda McMahon. This is mostly the first time in the campaign that somebody wrote about the book Ring of Hell, pushing how Michael Hayes is not only still employed but in power, a senior WWE official telling a Puerto Rican wrestler to "Spic it up" before a segment was to air, and a writer fired for taking time off to be with his wife after a miscarriage. There have been a few media sources now saying confidently she will lose, which even ten days ago, nobody would say. You can read both stories by clicking here and here.

Linda McMahon was lampooned Friday night on "Real Time with Bill Maher" on HBO. They had a tournament for the craziest candidate in the upcoming election. Maher said McMahon supports the minimum wage, even though she doesn't know it, nor does anyone in her company, and showed the clip of her kicking Jim Ross in the groin from an angle several years ago. Maher said Linda earned her billions (not quite, hundreds of millions would be accurate) "by getting a bunch of idiots to beat the shit out of each other in a fake world."

From November 1-5, it?s ?TNA Wrestling Week? on the popular television gameshow, ?Family Feud?. TNA will be represented by Rob Van Dam, Matt Morgan, Mr. Anderson, Jay Lethal and Mick Foley. They will compete against the team of the lovely TNA Knockouts, who will consist of Christy Hemme, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Tara, and Lacey Von Erich. "Family Feud" is hosted by Steve Harvey and is syndicated on broadcast television throughout the United States. Check local listing for broadcast times in your area.

Mick Foley was supposed to appear as a guest on "The Steve Harvey Show" in Atlanta, but was bumped for President Obama.

Former long-time WWE talent and employee Bruce Prichard was backstage at the live broadcast of "TNA iMPACT!" on October 7th. Prowrestling.net is reporting that Prichard?s new role with the company will be as a producer. Prichard helped Vince Russo produce backstage pre-tapes at TNA TV tapings this week.

[url=http://www.ShopTNA.com[/url] has added new merchandise for Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, Hulk Hogan and Beer Money.

The Honky Tonk Man?s appearance on the popular Court TV show Judge Jeanine Pirro, scored a massive 1.23 rating. The Judge herself teased the show on her official Facebook and Twitter where she wrote ?Any pro wrestling fans out there???? Well, I've got a treat for you: WWE legend The Honky Tonk Man enters my ring & he's ready to rumble!?

Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel paraphrased Ric Flair in a recent interview saying "To be the best, you have to beat the best" and mentioned Flair after the incorrect quote. Manuel also mentioned Space Mountain and how you have to stay there and conquer it.

On Friday night's "Tonight Show", Jay Leno did a segment called "Internet Successes and Failures" showing You Tube videos of something really good and followed with something really bad. One was a video of Shawn Michaels coming off the top rope on Ric Flair at WWE's "Bad Blood" pay-per-view in 2003, and both were identified by name, followed by backyard wrestlers doing the same spot, except the guy came off his roof, missed the table and landed on the ground.

A new autobiography of Tony Atlas is available from Scott Teal's Crowbar Press at CrowbarPress.com.

The NFL Top Ten on the NFL Network over the weekend listed the ten best short players in NFL history. In the segment, they also talked about the best tall players, which included showing 60's clips of Ernie Ladd in his days with the Kansas City Chiefs. Interviewed on the segment talking about short players was Steve McMichael.

Oklafan extends its condolensces to Chance Snodgrass on the death of his uncle.
