Oklafan would like to congratulate Raymon Downey, who's daughter Amelia was married on September 11th at a ceremony in Owasso.

Oklafan send its condolences to Shane Morbid on the passing of his grandfather.

Oklafan was saddened to learn of the death of Mike Shaw, who passed away Sunday from a heart attack. He was 53 years old. Shaw competed under many names during his career. He first came to prominence in the Stampede territory as Makhan Singh, where he teamed with Gama Singh as Karachi Vice and was instrumental in helping with the early careers of future stars such as Owen Hart and Chris Benoit. While in Stampede, Singh won the International Tag Team Title with Gama Singh and the North American Title. Fans in the United States first saw Shaw when he competed in WCW as Norman the Lunatic, managed by Teddy Long. A short stint as Trucker Norm followed that before Shaw left the company. He briefly returned to the Makhan Singh name while competing in the Global Wrestling Federation as a member of the Cartel before moving to the WWF. Initially he portrayed a heel monk named Friar Ferguson, but the WWF changed that after receiving complaints from the Catholic Church. Shaw then began his most famous character, Bastion Booger. Shaw left the WWF in 1994 and was out of the public eye for most of the rest of his life, although he did return for the RAW 15th anniversary show and was known to appear at some wrestling reunions and conventions. Shaw has two documented appearances in Oklahoma, both as Norman the Lunatic for WCW. He defeated Alex Porteau in July of 1990 in Oklahoma City and defeated Barry Horowitz in Tulsa on November 19, 1990. Oklafan extends its condolences to Shaw?s family and friends
