NEWS
The "SummerSlam 2010" pay-per-view poster features nine of the top WWE Superstars. Jack Swagger, The Undertaker, John Cena, Edge, Sheamus, Triple H, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston are all on the yellow/orange/blue poster. The show is sponsored by Slim Jim and 7-Eleven and will take place from Los Angeles, CA., at the STAPLES Center on Sunday, August 15th. Both Triple H and The Undertaker are expected to return shortly leading up to the show. You can check out the poster by clicking here .

Jerry Lawler is suing former business associate and promoter Cory Maclin over the rights to the Memphis Wrestling video tape library. The story dates back two years when Maclin licensed footage to a tape trader to produce a 20 volume DVD set titled "Corey Maclin presents Memphis Wrestling". Lawler, who found out about the DVD deal last August, says that Maclin has no rights to license any footage because he purchased them along with the USWA promotion from Jerry Jarrett in 1996. Who exactly owns the Memphis library has been a contentious issue for years. Very few broadcast-quality betacam tapes still exist, but the rights would either be owned by Lawler, Jarrett, or possibly a Cleveland-based company, XL Sports, that purchased the USWA from Lawler and a guy named Larry Burton in 1997, that later went out of business, resulting in a nasty lawsuit between all three. "To have someone you actually put into the wrestling business come back and do something like Corey has done is really disappointing," said Lawler. "I'm not worried about ownership of the footage because you can't own stolen property, which in essence is what this boils down to." Maclin released a statement which said he believes the suit is politically motivated because he's currently running for office in Tennessee. He is challenging Lawler to prove ownership. He also said his personal issues with him started in 2007, when a Lawler vs. Hulk Hogan event fell apart when Lawler pulled out citing his contractual obligations to WWE. Maclin later sued WWE, claiming the company put pressure on Lawler to withdraw from the event. Lawler's suit follows a recent cease and desist letter from Maclin demanding that his image never appear on Lawler's new Memphis Wrestling television show. Maclin says he wants to distance himself from people in the wrestling business. Said Maclin: "I believe that this lawsuit is political in nature, I always knew that Jerry was a Republican but was stunned to find out that he had a sign in his yard supporting a man that as far as I know has never met my opponent in the race for Clerk of Shelby County. I can no longer promote or support Jerry Lawler personally or professionally. I am saddened by the people he has chosen to associate with and can no longer be a part of any project Mr. Lawler is involved with."

Jim Ross is pushing for Danny Hodge in the WWE Hall of Fame for this year.

Beth Phoenix is now about 8-weeks out from returning after knee surgery.

Sheamus has become one of WWE's media go-to-guys with a story before Friday night's show in Peoria where he headlined against John Cena at He said he wanted to be with WWE since the age of four or five. He said his pale complexion allows him to be different and it's an advantage. He said his idols growing up were Stan Hansen and Fit Finlay. You can read the entire story by clicking here.

The upcoming "WWE RAW The Beginning: The Best of Seasons 1 & 2" four disc DVD set which will be released on August 10th. Yokozuna, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Mr Perfect, Doink the Clown (Matt Borne), and The Undertaker landed themselves on the cover of this DVD which will have some fifty full matches from RAW between 1993 and 1994. This will be one of the most action-packed WWE DVDs released in a while and something that long-time WWE fans will surely enjoy. The best segments from RAW from those two years are also included along with the matches. To see the artwork and complete list of matches, click here.

Mick Foley is scheduled to return at TNA TV this week.

Ric Flair is interviewed in the latest issue of Bizarre magazine on sale now in the United Kingdom. Nice publicity for the company over there. Flair said regarding his womanizing in the 1980s: "My flings were always 'one time only' affairs in my eyes, but my partners didn't always think so. I wasn't trying to break their hearts, though; I wanted to make an impression - to give those girls a great memory for life - and to make sure I was a hard act to follow for the next guys in their beds. (laughs) Once a lady's lived through 'The Legend' there's no going back!" He said back in the day he loved to drink, but never did any drugs. He said he once witnessed Andre the Giant guzzle 106 bottles of beer while he could only manage 20 before getting drunk. When asked if he would ever do a reality show like Hulk Hogan, he mentioned the pilot he filmed two years ago with son Reid. He claimed they had to cancel production because Reid got sick with glandular fever from making out with so many women. He was also asked what an adult movie between himself and Brooke Hogan would entail. He said: "It'd be called 'Dare To Live The Legend', and it'd contain everything Brooke would dare to do with me. I make love to my wife at least twice everyday, so I'm not sure Ms. Hogan could handle me."

[http://www.rasslinriotonline.com]RasslinRiotOnline.com[/url] has reported that Bobby Eaton, 51, was hospitalized in Arkansas with fluid around his heart. Jim Cornette's wife Stacy posted the following update on Bobby Eaton via her Facebook account: "Just got off the phone with Bobby. He is still in the hospital and will be there for a couple of days under observation an to run more tests. He says he's doing fine now and that he had fluid build up around his heart and lungs but the doctors put him on medication and he seems to be getting better.
