Jim Ross posted the following on his Twitter following the conclusion of WWE's "Fatal 4 Way" pay-per-view event: "Crazy, abrupt ending @ Fatal 4 Way. Big nite 4 Evan Bourne. Sheamus & Rey win titles. Alicia Fox w/ surprising title win. Interesting nite."

Ted DiBiase Sr. and Jr. got huge crowds at E3 on Thursday, since they did a money chamber and a bunch of things where they would give people in line money if they'd kiss their feet, or scream "Go Celtics" as loud as possible.

The Big Show appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last Wednesday to promote his appearance on "Royal Pains" as well as this past Sunday's pay-per-view. Show came out to his theme, lights and smoke through the crowd. "Nothing like a yeti coming out of the mist," exclaimed Show after sitting down. Fallon asked Show how he travels considering his size, Andre the Giant, taking over the Toby Keith tour bus, his alcohol tolerance, and more. You can see an edited version of the
interview by clicking here.

Sunday's New Haven Register has a huge front page story entitled "The Steroid Stain lingers over Linda McMahon." It's a lot of the same stuff that has been reported on before, but this is a very good well balanced article. The campaign decided against letting Linda talk about this subject. Jerry McDevitt said that Ted Turner had tried to dry up the talent pool and the McMahons weren't sure whether their business would survive as the reason they dropped drug testing. That explanation may work for 1996, but what about 1998-2005? It noted after dropping the policy that wrestlers like Brian Pillman, Louie Spicolli, Rick Rude, Davey Boy Smith, and Curt Hennig died drug related deaths. Only Pillman died while with WWF, but all were with the company during the period when no testing was being done. Marc Mero was quoted in the article. Ed Patru gave the ridiculous line that since WWE scripts matches, there is no competitive advantage for talent to use steroids. In actuality, because WWE judges people based on bodies as much as performance, while in real sports you are judged by performance and not bodies, there is more of a competitive advantage in pro wrestling than in any sport other than bodybuilding or possibly powerlifting. There was a misleading statement saying WWE has 15.3 million TV viewers each week (if you add up the rating of every show combined, counting many viewers several times) while comparing it to a specific NASCAR race that only had 7.5 million. Irv Muchnick, as he always does, makes the point that the campaign shouldn't be judged on YouTube clips of WWE skits, but on the real life consequences of the decisions the company has made. It also said that her experience as WWE CEO makes viewers twice as likely to not vote for her as to vote for her according to Douglas Schwartz of the Quinnipiac University poll. You can read the entire story by clicking here.

Dave Batista, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Ernest Miller, and Bill Goldberg were among the pro wrestlers sitting ringside at the Strikeforce MMA event in California last Wednesday night. Sources say Batista is looking for a two fight deal in MMA and that Strikeforce has already offered him a big name opponent. He is also negotiating to be part of a new reality series. Those he talked to last night said he gave the impression he was done with WWE. We did hear a few week's ago there may be some sour grapes from Vince McMahon over his departure. He hasn't ruled out returning one day as he leads a lavish lifestyle and will probably need the money. Very few people know this but he broke his back (small hairline fracture) from the car bump in the match against John Cena at "Over the Limit" back on May 23rd. He's been resting up following that injury and plotting his next move.

On a side note, Goldberg wrote on his experience via Twitter: "Had a great time seeing the Showtime crew and some old friends..Herschel, J Barnett, the "Cat,"Sefo McCarthy,Dean,KJ,Glazier,F.George, Chavo,Batista,M.J. White,T. Atencio(AFFLICTION)..and a boatload more. Had a bitchin' time.THX Dinkins!

Time Warner on Demand has Mick Foley vs. Kurt Angle from TNA's "Victory Road" show from 2009 in the Events free preview section.

Ric Flair appears in a new commercial for the Tennessee Lottery. You can see it by clicking here.

TNA is looking at locations in Charlotte, NC to host "Bound for Glory" in October. The 9,000+ seat Bojangles' Coliseum may be a contender with the idea of building a show around Ric Flair in his hometown.

There is some unhappiness among fans in the United Kingdom over ticket pricing for TNA's next tour in January. The tour--three dates in large arenas--is built around Ric Flair, Rob Van Dam, and Jeff Hardy (if he's not in jail) so one would assume the overheads are higher than with previous tours. Ticket prices are nearly double the cost of a U.S. house show ranging from $33 up to $109 for front row. They are also planning to do fan interactions before each show although it doesn't appear that these are including in the price of a ticket. TNA is said to be very happy with how the UK market is performing for them at the moment.

JAKKS Pacific issued a press release on Thursday announcing the release of the TNA action figure line. For Wave 1 of its action figures, JAKKS and TNA created toys for Sting, Jeff Jarrett, A. J. Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, and Suicide. The TNA action figures, play sets and accessories are expected to be available at retailers nationwide this summer. JAKKS took over the license for TNA at the beginning of this year when their WWE license was not renewed and picked up by Mattel a couple of years ago. To see a video of TNA launching the toys at the Slammiversary weekend last week, click here.

There is a story on Kurt Angle at saying he wished he had more time off. He also pushed that he wanted Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas in TNA. There are rumors circulating that Bejamin and Haas may have pulled back on joining TNA. Benjamin may be under the impression that going to TNA might kill his chances to go back to WWE and he's not ready to make that call. You can read the entire story by clicking here.

There was some sort of altercation after the main event of last Friday night's Ring of Honor show in Hamburg, NY. A fan had words with one of the wrestlers and several other wrestlers came out of the locker room.. Jim Cornette came from the curtain and talked everyone out of doing anything, so it was a non-incident. If it was in the ECW days, the security would have given the fans starting the altercation a beating. Cornette made a killing at the gimmick table and was accessible to fans throughout the show. Cornette watched the show with Dennis DiPaolo, the son of wrestling legend Ilio DiPaolo, and Kurt Beyer, a former All Japan wrestler who is son of The Destroyer. The Destroyer was also there and introduced to the crowd. There was also a flyer asking fans to call the local Time Warner cable affiliate and ask them to carry HDNet. The biggest pop of the night was when Austin Aries teased people as he came out to Bryan Danielson's entrance music. A lot of fans throughout the night were talking about Danielson.

Bob Backlund and Joe "The Assassin" Hamilton are both currently working on new wrestling-related books.

Nickla Roberts (AKA Baby Doll) will be a guest on "Tuesday Night Wrestling Radio Live" tonight at 8pm Central. The shows airs live at http://tobtr.com/s/1107554.

The Ultimate Warrior is trying to sell his ring worn boots from his last wrestling match-- the match against Orlando Jordan in Barcelona, Spain back in 2008. The boots were posted on eBay last week for $25,000 and have since been re-listed for $10,000. To view the eBay listing, click here.

Nicholas Mills of "The Rafferty/Mills Connection" recently conducted an interview with Kevin Von Erich. Conducted on Tuesday, May 11th, topics range from the WWE inducting the Von Erich's into the Hall of Fame, his start in wrestling, psychology, wrestling styles, his rise to fame, the media, Gary Hart, the feud with the Fabulous Freebirds, his brothers' deaths, Gino Hernandez and Chris Adams, Bruiser Brody, the new resurgence of the WCCW/Von Erich story (including thoughts on the documentaries), Lance Von Erich, and other topics. It's all revealed in this eight-part in-depth telephone interview. You can listen to the interview by clicking here.

Wrestling fan Sean Pendergast of the Houston Press compares the NBA free agency to the original NWA Four Horsemen. He also brings up a comparison to Dusty Rhodes. Actually some funny comparisons here including comparing Yao Ming to Sid Vicious (big, plodding, injury prone). You can read the story by clicking here.

Oklafan would like to congratulate Reckless, who recently surpassed 1 year as TAP Heavyweight Champion. He defeated The Canadian Red Devil for the title on June 14, 2009.

Oklafan was saddened to learn of the death of Trent Acid, who passed away June 18. Acid, whose real name was Michael Verdi, competed mostly as a tag team wrestler, teaming with Johnny Kashmere as the Backseat Boyz in many independent companies. He debuted in 1999 in Combat Zone Wrestling, the company that he would most be associated with. But he also competed for Ring of Honor from 2002-2004. He and Kashmere would be the first wrestlers to hold the CZW & ROH Tag Team Titles. In 2007, Acid made his biggest singles impression as he created the character of "Holy" Trent Acid, an arrogant priest in Juggalo Championship Wrestling. Acid would go on to win the JCW Title, but would only hold it for 2 weeks. Despite all the professional success, personal demons haunted Acid for most of his career. On April 2, 2010, Acid was arrested for possession of heroin. He had several other previous charges against him, including possession of drug paraphanelia and public intoxication. After reaching a plea deal, on May 12th he was sentenced to 23 months of confinement and court-ordered rehab. He had another trial set for July 3rd. Acid had one documented Oklahoma appearance on Mar 9, 2007 when he successfully defended the JCW Heavyweight Title against Zach Gowen. Oklafan extends its condolensces to Acid's family and friends.
