NEWS
On the WrestleMania XXVI DVD, WWE edited out the several seconds where Jack Swagger had trouble getting the briefcase down. It shows him up there and he immediately now unhooks the briefcase.

WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix was pulled from the Mexican tour due to suffering a minor ankle injury at last week's "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!" taping in a match she worked against Rosa Mendes for "WWE Superstars" show. She isn't expected to miss much ring time. "Thank you for the concerned messages. I am 100% just fine and as always in Glamtastic Fighting Form," she later posted on Twitter.

The New York Times has a story regarding the "WWE Monday Night RAW" guest hosts, a concept which started in June of last year to help spice up the ratings by booking celebrities to be "in charge" every week. Ryan Phillippe and Maria Menounos - two previous RAW guest hosts - were quoted for the story. "It's so much fun," Phillippe said. "Who wouldn't want to associate their film, or show, with that enthusiastic crowd?" Menounos mentioned that she took wrestling classes at a boxing gym in Los Angeles "for weeks" so she could wrestle Beth Phoenix on the show. "Beth slammed me against a wall, and before she did it, I told her, 'I want you to slam me as hard as you can,'" she said. When it was time to return the favor with a kick, Menounos said that the WWE Women's champ told her to kick as hard as she can. Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon were also interviewed for the article. "Vince would hate that I said this," she said. "But he and Lorne Michaels are a lot alike. They both have a clear vision, and they both know exactly how they want you to execute it," added Stephanie, noting that she calls her father Vince at work and dad at home.

Triple H talks at Newsday.com/video/kidsday-video-triple-h-1.1898867 and he talks to kids at Exloreli.com/kids/kidsday-talks-with-wwe-superstar-triple-h-1. 1900883. He said the guy he would most like to wrestle in a match is Shawn Michaels. He said his earliest wrestling memory is being six years old and watching Chief Jay Strongbow.

Brett DiBiase injured his knee and will have to undergo surgery. Brett is the son of "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. Reports say Brett and Joe Hennig, the son of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig, will join up with his brother Ted DiBiase, Jr. to form a new faction on "WWE Monday Night RAW".

"WrestleMania XXVI" has indeed been released on Blu-Ray however it is available exclusively at Best Buy and nowhere else. The electronics giant is selling the three disc set for $24.99. Disc one will contain the full pay-per-view plus the 26 Man Battle Royal as an extra. Disc two has the full Hall of Fame ceremony along with five full matches of Mad Dog Vachon, Wendi Richter, Antonio Inoki, Gorgeous George, and Ted DiBiase, but Jesse Ventura's commentary has been removed from DiBiase's match at WrestleMania VI. Disc three contains the "WWE Monday Night RAW" and "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!" episodes that aired before WrestleMania.

Mattel posted photos of their "Entrance Greats Series 2" set on their Facebook page. The set includes Chris Jericho with cloth entrance gear, Ted DiBiase, Jr. with cloth suit and the Million Dollar Title, and Roddy Piper with cloth entrance gear and bag pipes. No release has been given just yet.

Less than two months after moving to Monday nights and declaring war on WWE, TNA Wrestling announced Monday during the live "TNA iMPACT!" that they are packing their bags and moving back to Thursday nights. The decision was taken by Spike TV after TNA drew several horrible ratings over the last few weeks including the lowest ever of 0.5. The company realized that even with the likes of Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, and the new regime, they pulled the trigger way too early to compete with "WWE Monday Night RAW". The "iMPACT!" replays on Thursdays have been drawing larger numbers than on Monday nights so it was a wise decision to put the show back in its old time slot.

TNA has released the poster for the upcoming "Slammiversary" pay-per-view event which is being labeled on the artwork as the "biggest pay-per-view of the summer." The show will air on June 13th and for some reason it is being marketed as "Slammiversary VIII" when in reality this is actually the sixth "Slammiversary" pay-per-view. TNA started using the Slammiversary name in 2005. The poster features Sting and Rob Van Dam, his first time on a TNA PPV poster. The show will be held at the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, FL. You can see the poster by clicking here.

According to The Honky Tonk Man, Memphis wrestling promoter Cory Maclin has sold the video rights of Memphis Wrestling and its tapes to High Spots. Jerry Lawler is irate about this deal and had no knowledge of it. Maclin has stated that Jim Cornette gave him the tapes and had permission to make the deal.

The Honky Tonk Man left the Xtreme Wrestling Alliance Canadian tour of Nova Scotia early. HTM walked off the tour because there was unprofessional conduct by the promoter Chuck Martin. This is the same tour Jake Roberts did not attend since the promoter was unprofessional in getting Jake the proper documents to enter Canada. After HTM left the tour, it was announced at a later show that HTM was injured the previous night in Nova Scotia and had to fly home. They dropped the ticket prices from $15 to $13.

The Honky Tonk Man now has his own official Twitter page. HTM will be tweeting from his tours, conventions and posting breaking news. Follow HTM at Twitter.com/OfficialHTM.

Al Snow, J. D. Maverick, April Hunter, and some other local wrestlers are filmed an indie movie last weekend in Louisville, KY called "Zombie World Record".

Foxnews.com posted a slideshow on its website of professional wrestlers, revealing their real names. Such stars as Sting, Roddy Piper, The Ultimate Warrior, Gorgeous George, Ric Flair, King Kong Bundy, Andre the Giant, Bill Goldberg, and Dusty Rhodes were featured. You can view the slideshow by clicking here.

There was a St. Louis wrestling convention with a very small turnout (114 for the entire weekend) even though people like Roddy Piper, Terry Funk, Tommy Rich, Road Warrior Animal, Ted DiBiase, Dory Funk Jr. and many others were there. Everyone advertised except Abdullah the Butcher appeared. Promoter Mike Palermo gave a speech that he would be starting a new wrestling promotion, starting as a territory in Texas, and would eventually go national and knock off Vince McMahon. He also blamed McMahon for sabotaging the weekend as well. James Laurinaitis of the St. Louis Rams, and son of Road Warrior Animal was there as well but no Rams fans showed up to see him.

The Insane Clown Posse advertised the possibility of a Juggalo Championship Wrestling event at their concert in Tulsa on May 11th. That event won?t be happening as JCW did not want to have to deal with the regulations of the Oklahoma Boxing Commission. The wrestling show is still listed on the ICP website as of this morning.

Crowbar Press has several upcoming wrestling books in the works including books by Stan Hansen, Bill DeMott, and Tony Atlas.

Metro Pro Wrestling has a commercial running that advertises their upcoming June 5th show in Kansas City, KS. The commercial features Trevor Murdoch and Tommy Dreamer but also has brief clips of Mark Sterling and Kraig Keesaman. You can see the video on the Videos tab of their Facebook page at Facebook.com/MetroProWrestling.

Traditional Championship Wrestling has a commercial up on You Tube promoting their show in Pine Bluff, AR on June 12th. Jim Duggan and Matt Riviera are featured in the commercial. The background music on the commercial is the old World Championship Wrestling theme song from when the NWA appeared on the SuperStation WTBS on Saturdays. You can view the commercial by clicking here.

A documentary "Card Subject to Change" with interviews with a number of wrestlers including Kevin Sullivan, Sherri Martel, Superstar Billy Graham, Terry Funk, Jim Cornette, Bobby Heenan, Sabu, and Percy Pringle is scheduled to debut on May 28th at the DocMiami International Film Festival in Miami, on June 5th at the Lighthouse International Film Festival in Long Beach Island, NJ, and on June 8th at the Hoboken International Film Festival in Teaneck, NJ.

Monday's Tulsa World had a story on a Bartlesville man who used a power bomb as punishment for his girlfriend's four-year-old, and was charged with felony child abuse and being held on $100,000 bond. David Laird, 28, turned himself in after admitting he slammed the child into a door frame over and over again while baby sitting, finally admitting what he had done and using the term power bomb for the move. Police were called last month to investigate a boy covered with bruises and fractures who was brought to the hospital by both Laird and his mother. He had a large bruise on the back of his head and chest, bruising on the shoulders, back, legs and penis. Laird originally said the child fell off the clothes dryer, but doctors didn't buy the explanation due to the nature of the injuries.

Al Farat will be inducted into the Insane Hardcore Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame later this summer.

Mark Wilson sustained a calf injury at the conclusion of the main event at the TAP show in Wagoner this past Saturday. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery from the injury.

Oklafan would like to congratulate our photographer, Sara Bennett who graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
