Dusty's Blog: Back to Stateside Indy Wrestling
Posted: Mar 4th 2010 By: mikeiles
I found the post option my webmaster fussed about, and yeah, it?s a bigger space to work with. Also, it?s a bigger space to make mistakes with.
Home, and back to working the indy scene here. This trip to Korea was truly an easy one. We rassled 4 shows in 5 days. All travel was on a full sized Greyhound. Or whatever they call Greyhounds in Korea. The whole crew was professional. Even the kids knew to leave the mark part of themselves stateside. Pros that knew their place on a 6 match card. Pros that had no egos, just a desire to get paid on decent shows. Pros that had no unreasonable ?need? to get ?their stuff in?. Just guys that were in a facility in Korea to do a job and move onto the next town. So relaxing and so refreshing. Thanks guys.
As the super duper webmaster gets my photos from the tour posted, I?ll mention what and where as far the photos go. That should be later in the week.
Seems like a lost cause trying to explain the feel of the DMZ, without at least, a photo to support the comments. Or just how cold we were standing on the curb, with seeing snow on the ground.
AND?there were some eye opening conversations with guys that have just left TNA and WWE. Not the info itself, just the fact I am that damn smart!!! They confirmed so much for me. When I say/write something about those two places???.never mind. Some folks, no amount of explaining will do for them.
To all the people that showed some love after my death in San Francisco..a sincere thank you. Meant a lot.
And to the hotstuff loudmouth bastids?..better luck next time.
Just a quick addition to the Korea trip memories. At least those without some photographic evidence.
The high light of this whole excursion had to be a ?spirited? discussion between Billy Gunn and Disco Inferno.
Both of these guys speak their mind. And I respect that. I have been around Disco since he started. Hell, I?m the man that taught him how to dance, cuz there?s no way a Disco Inferno isn?t dancing. Mississippi 1994. But that?s another story for another day. I?ve met Billy, but that was half a lifetime ago.
Anyway?.
As we were leaving the next to last building, Disco tells Billy??..the Disco Inferno was over bigger than Billy Gunn ever was. You can imagine for yourself. I pulled up a seat and watched. Better than anything on TV.
