Gerald Brisco commented on his Facebook page: "I would like to thank all my friends and my brother's fans for all the kind remarks about a great brother and friend , Jack would be proud."

Larry Matysik had a letter to the editor in Sunday's St. Louis Post-Dispatch regarding the story they published on the death of Jack Brisco. Basically the story didn't touch on the fact Brisco was a headliner for 14 years in the city.

Former AWA World Tag Team Champion Doug Somers was refused entry to the backstage area at WWE's "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view event in Atlanta, GA. The show was "closed set" so no friends or family were allowed in due to paranoia somebody would leak that Edge was returning in the Rumble match. Apparently he gave security a piece of his mind.

Joanie "Chyna" Laurer said she couldn't care less about Beth Phoenix's post-Rumble comments about her. She said she wishes nothing but the best for all the Divas in WWE.

Beth Phoenix posted the following message on Twitter late Saturday night: "just got pulled over while driving to Dallas by a Walker Texas Ranger wannabe. he wrote me a ticket. I gave him the Glamastare..he cried."

A story on Undented.com says that Mick Foley will be donating half the proceeds from his Countdown to Lockdown book to RAINN, the Rape Abuse & Incest National Network.

Mick Foley was in Las Vegas doing a comedy show Saturday at the Hilton along with Bruce Prichard and Colt Cabana, and attended the UFC show afterwards.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Eric Bischoff continues to court Jim Ross as an announcer in TNA. Ross' short-term contract extension with WWE is set to expire in Mid-March. TNA pushed hard to recruit the WWE Hall of Famer for the three hour live telecast of "TNA iMPACT!" on January 4th.

ShopTNA.com has released new merchandise for Hulk Hogan, Amazing Red, Ric Flair, and Pope D'Angelo.

The Honky Tonk Man was a guest on "The Fight Show" last week. During the interview, HTM called out Bubba the Love Sponge, said Jeff Jarrett called him about joining TNA and the Jakks Pacific deal in November 2009, and WWE dragged their feet on calling him about the Hall of Fame saying "It's not a Hall of Fame, its a Television show!". To listen to the interview in a podcast, click here.

This past Thursday February 4th, The Honky Tonk Man was a guest on "The Shoot" radio show. Host Gary Cantrell welcomed him to the show and recognized him as a legend and the Greatest Intercontinental champion of all time. Honky Tonk Man referred to himself as the "Most Controversial Figure in Professional Wrestling". Gary replied that "with the most controversial figure in professional wrestling and the most controversial internet wrestling radio show things could get insane". HTM didn't waste anytime laying jabs into certain people. His first target was TNA's Bubba the Love Sponge whom he referred to as Todd Alan Clem which was Bubba's old legal name. HTM mentioned that he was in Bubba's old hometown of Warsaw, IN recently and claimed that the people of Warsaw "ran that fat prick out of town". He claimed the people saw Bubba as "common ordinary Trailer Park trash". Gary asked HTM about his first experience on the Bubba show. "I was ambushed on that show" replied HTM referring to the time he was tricked onto Bubba's show. Gary mentioned that it was "Spice Boy" (Matt Loyd) who hosted the fake show that lured HTM on. "I wouldn't recognize him if he came out of my ass" referring to Spice Boy. HTM mentioned that he was done speaking of Mr. Clem and wanted to move on asking Gary who he wanted him to shoot on next. Gary said he wanted to talk about HTM's ass whooping list. According to HTM the top of the list was TNA's Eric Bischoff. "If Eric Bischoff was laying on the side of the road and his heart was on fire, I'd don't even think I'd stop to piss in his mouth." said the Honky Tonk Man. At this point, what Honky Tonk Man doesn't realize is that Spice Boy is waiting on hold and can hear all of what HTM is saying. Gary mentions that he has a few callers on the line that want to speak to him and HTM says he doesn't want to talk to any of those "Bubba Army" guys but he welcomed controversy. Gary welcomes the first "caller" on. The caller identifies himself as Matt from the Bubba show. The insults begin to fly between these two, with quite a bit of expletives too much for one recap to contain. To hear all of the "good stuff" you'll have to listen to the show. One piece of interesting information is when the Honky Tonk Man laughed and said he worked everybody and admitted that there never was talks or a deal with TNA. Spice Boy said the sad part was that the Honky Tonk Man probably thought he had a chance with TNA. "I worked you f*****s all the way to the very end, there was no deal" said the Honky Tonk Man. To hear the entire 15 minute uncensored confrontation, head over to BlogTalkRadio.com/TheShoot and select Episode #154.

The WrestleSlam convention in England two weeks ago encountered some issues with wrestlers attempting to enter the country. Those turned away were all former WWE names -- Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald, Bushwhacker Luke, The Barbarian, Tugboat, Nikolai Volkoff, and 74-year-old Mr Fuji. They were detained and questioned by immigration agents for several hours. It was determined that they didn't have the correct documentation required to work in the United Kingdom. They were later granted temporary entry but ordered to return to the U.S. on available flights the next day. Their passports were confiscated and each were given a charge that stays on their file for ten years. Anthony Thomas, promoter of WrestleSlam, met them at the host hotel afterwards and had them sign 8X10s for fans who had prepaid for autographs. Those that made it into the country without issue were Terry Funk, Lanny Poffo, The Warlord, Bryan Clarke, and Howard Finkel. Promoter Thomas claimed that a rival group called immigration and said some of the wrestlers were terrorists in an effort to sabotage his event. However, UK Border Agency reps vehemently deny that story saying it's pure fiction. Steve Brassington, Regional Director of the UK Border Agency, said in an email: "Under the Government's tough new Points Based System, paid professionals must obtain a valid Certificate of Sponsorship prior to arriving in the UK. These rules are designed to make sure that a legitimate sponsor is linked to each application to enter the UK for work purposes. Responsibility rests with applicants to have the correct documents in place to allow them to work in the UK before traveling. This is a firm and fair approach and it applies to everyone. All applications are considered on their merits and in accordance with the Immigration Rules, taking into account all the circumstances and supporting evidence."
