I didn?t watch all of TNA last night. Yet, what I saw left me wondering??TNA has some of the best female workers around. And they use the one lady over with the fans in an angle with Bubba the Love Sponge? A. J. Styles as a heel champ could be gold. I?m sincere in that statement. A gifted athelete, yet undersized and having to grab a hold of anything to keep his title. Back to the image of the old days of the NWA champ, ?it?s easier to keep the title than it is to win the title because the rules favor the champ.? AND then, TNA pulls out the Montreal finish??? No doubt in my mind this was an inside message. I am just not sure what the message is. Right now, I?m leaning toward the idea that Vince McMahon just showed the entire wrestling world who controls EVERYTHING worth controlling in wrestling. There are a couple of other thoughts that come to mind, but I?m not ready to join Jesse Ventura in his all his theory conspiracies just yet?..And where is my Dudley?s v. nasty boys match? THAT I want to see.
Before I head out for a weekend of my usual hi-flying action, I have a Black Bart story I want to share.
Before I write anything else, I think the world of Bart. Even when he?s offering to whup mah aassss. Bart is the kind of guy that makes the world a better place.
One night in Corsicana, Tx, I stole Bart?s ring gimmick. I took his elbow pad, black duster, and cowboy hat and went out for my match with Sam Houston. Dick Murdoch and John Layfield were in on the rib. James Beard?I?ll let him plead the 5th.
Anyway, I walked out to the ring looking like a 10 year that had stolen his dads coat and hat. At this point in time, Bart was around the 320 mark, and I was pushing the scales at a lean and mean 220. Bart is about 4 inches taller than me. And did I mention Bart has a big head? I wear a 7 and 5/8 hat, and if I didn?t have ears, I would have been wearing that black Stetson like a helmet.
I had James help me out of that jacket, and while he was giving instructions, I told Sam not to sell anything but the elbow. The same elbow I was wearing Bart?s pad on.
We went a few minutes, and when I saw John and Dick push Bart out a dressing room door, I called elbow, and when I connected, Sam went down like he?d been shot. I saw Bart shrug and start to go back in the dressing room. I told Sam go ahead and come back on me, Bart wasn?t selling for me. A minute or so later, I could see Bart being pushed out again. And Bart no sold my elbow, AGAIN. This went on with Sam, Dick, John, and me for another 3 or 4 times. John and Dick pushing Bart, Sam looking like he was headed to death row off one elbow smash? FINALLY, Bart realized I had on his elbow pad and that was his hat in my corner. Bart started screaming at me over the crowd and was so red, there was no missing him at 100 yards away.
I hit Sam with Bart?s finish, the leg drop, and told him to kick out. Now, Dick and John are having to hold Bart back from hitting the ring.
I forget how Sam and I got out of the match, but it?s guaranteed I put him over. I put on Bart?s hat and fell to my butt in the center of the ring. James told me the match was over, and I could go back any time. I just laughed and told James that was easy for him to say. I?m the one that had to face Bart.
You?d think Murdoch and Layfield would have had my back on this one, considering this was a 3 man conspiracy. You would be wrong??.
