Oklafan received an e-mail last week from Romo announcing his his retirement.

Maximum Wrestling Alliance has added a Facebook Fan Page. The address is Facebook.com/pages/Maximum-Wrestling-Alliance/155-186930134?ref=ts. They have also updated their My Space site at MySpace.com/MaximumWrestlingAlliance.

In an e-mail received from TCBW owner Earl Kennedy, he stated that the long time friend he had a falling out with was not Al Farat despite some people's guess. He also said that he is going to have gastric bypass surgery very soon. He closed by saying "I want to wish everyone at IZW, NWA-Oklahoma, and all the other organizations in the great state of Oklahoma, the best of success and God bless you all."

It appears the Christian vs. Zack Ryder ECW title match will headline Tuesday's TV show from the BOK Center in Tulsa.

Jerry Lawler was interviewed about his candiadacy for Mayor of Memphis by David Asman of Fox Business. You can view the interview by clicking here.

Jerry Lawler's campaign is not happy with a local TV station's mayoral race poll which showed him with just 2 percent of the surveyed voters. The poll was conducted over a two-day period and was a sample of 400 likely voters. Lawler wrote on his campaign website: "I've been out working hard, campaigning, talking to the hard-working citizens of Memphis. I've talked to well over 400 people myself. And what I hear and what I see out there in the community is anything but what this new poll shows. How can a poll be accurate when only sampling 400 'likely' voters? How can 400 people represent the complete 700,000 citizens of our city? You can't predict and speak for 700,000 people by taking a sample of less than one-one-thousandth percent! That says to me, that News Channel 3 and the Commercial Appeal have decided to disenfranchise the other 690,000-plus citizens of our city. They have decided who they want to win and will force this notion and this misconception on its viewers and readers in an attempt to manipulate the voting in just four weeks. It's just more of the same tired, political games that have plagued our city."

The next two "WWE Legends Roundtable" show filmed for WWE Classics will be Jim Ross, Jimmy Garvin, James J. Dillon, Michael Hayes, and a fifth panelist to be announced. They will be discussing "The Lost Art of Wrestling Managers" and "The Culture of Southern Wrestling".

Steve Austin will only be available in games that are pre-ordered through GameStop. When it comes to the names missing from the game, which is a huge deal due to the royalty checks, the biggest names missing are Jimmy Wang Yang, Jillian Hall, Jamie Noble, Rosa Mendes, Charlie Haas, Layla, and the Hart Dynasty, however Natalya is in the game. Everyone else is in of note as well as former wrestlers John Bradshaw Layfield and Umaga.

A Jack Swagger figure will be part of the ECW Series 5 due out in mid-October. Other figures in the series include Tyson Kidd, Finlay, Christian, Evan Bourne, and Mark Henry.

There is a video on You Tube with Jeremy Borash interviewing A. J. Styles backstage after Styles had won the TNA World Title on September 20th. In the interview, Styles makes reference to the fact this would be the first time he held the title since TNA broke away from the NWA. Also in the video, TNA president Dixie Carter presents Styles with the title belt.

TNA announced last week that they have released Jim Cornette and B. G. James. TNA will be releasing more talent that doesn't fit the current direction of the company. Cornette has never liked current head booker Vince Russo and his booking style, and has often spoke out against him. The former Road Dogg was close to Jeff Jarrett, and the days of you being safe because of that association have clearly passed. Cornette issued the following statement over on his Facebook page for "Cornette's Collectibles" regarding his release from TNA Wrestling: "Thanks everyone for your kind words but, we are REALLY OK about all of this. Gives us more time to make QUALITY products for Cornette's Collectibles and devote our time to wrestling we actually enjoy being apart of." Cornette joined TNA in 2006 and was giving a "Management Director" gimmick. His real role in the company, apart from being an on-screen character, was of a road agent. James made his TNA debut in 2002 and has been employed with the company ever since however he hasn't been used much on television this year. During his time there he held the NWA World Tag Team Titles twice with Konnan and Ron Killings.

The reason behind Jim Cornette has been explained. TNA had made a deal with Vince Russo's friend Ed Ferrara to return to the wrestling business. At this point, Ferrara's title is backstage producer and is not considered a member of the creative team, but obviously he has influence in the company. There is internal frustration over the decision to replace Cornette with Ferrara.

According to various reports, the new TNA creative team appears to be Vince Russo, former WCW and WWE writer Ed Ferrara, Jeremy Borash, and Matt Conway. Russo and Ferrara caused a stir in the business when they left WWE for WCW. The new creative team is a result of cleaning house with Dutch Mantel and Jeff Jarrett no longer in charge of the creative process.

According to recent reports, TNA is bringing in Pat Kenney (AKA Simon Diamond) and D' Lo Brown as agents to replace Jim Cornette and B. G. James

Styles Volume 2", "The Best of Samoa Joe", and "The Best of Christopher Daniels".

The auction, which is helping to raise money for the health costs Dr. Death Steve Williams is facing in his battle with cancer. The website is WrestlersRescue.org

TNA has signed Lacey Von Erich, the daughter of Kerry Von Erich and the grand daughter of Fritz Von Erich. She was released from her Wrestlelicious contract last week and the original plan was for Lacey to join The Beautiful People.

It was 28 years ago last Thursday that Ric Flair first won the NWA World Title from Dusty Rhodes in Kansas City, MO. Trazz, a rapper out of Buffalo released on Thursday a tribute song called "Rick Flair". You can hear the song by clicking here. The wrong spelling is on purpose.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, Ric Flair signed a three-year deal last Tuesday with the new Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff "Hulkamania" promotion that will debut with a tour in Australia this November. Other former WWE stars that are confirmed for the tour are Ken Anderson (AKA Mr. Kennedy), Sean Morley (AKA Val Venis), Eddie Fatu (AKA Umaga), Shannon Moore, Orlando Jordan, Rikishi, The Godfather, Dallas Page, The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags), Jimmy Hart, Brutus Beefcake, Lacey Von Erich, and David Heath (AKA Gangrel). Rob Van Dam is believed to be in negotiations as well as a couple of former WWE Divas. The official website for the Hulkamania Tour in Australia is Hulkamania.com.au. You can see a commercial that is only being run in Australia by clicking here.

Hulk Hogan was on "The Footy Show" in Australia Thursday for five minutes and announced Ric Flair, The Nasty Boys, Jimmy Hart and Brutus Beefcake as appearing on the tour. None of those names really came as a shock.

For those keeping track, the latest Hulk Hogan story in interviews is that Andre the Giant was 750 pounds when he bodyslammed him at WrestleMania III.

Bill Goldberg, announced on his official Twitter that he has no plans or desire to get involved with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff's new "Hulkamania" promotion: "Zero plans to join Hogan's Tour.....The old man wants all the $ for himself. Plus, 3 reality shows on tap.".

Former NWA wrestler Sam Houston (Michael Maurice Smith), 45, was jailed on Wednesday in Louisiana for a probation violation. A judge ordered him to finish a 10-year prison sentence from 2005 stemming from multiple DUI convictions. He was originally released less than a month after he was sentenced due to being deemed a non-violent offender in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. His probation officer recently ordered him to attend a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, but he left the 90-day program after just 30 days. In recent years Houston had been working for a construction company and also helped his father, Grizzly Smith, 77, at a cemetery near the French Quarter in New Orleans. Houston is the half-brother of Jake "The Snake" Roberts and his younger sister worked in the wrestling business as Rockin' Robin. He was also at one-time married to Nickla "Baby Doll" Roberts and they had two children together. He was best known during the mid-80s as feature performer for Jim Crockett Promotions.

Former TNA booker Dutch Mantel has now made himself available for independent bookings.

Jim Neidhart and The Blue Meanie have roles in the movie "Booted", a comedy shooting next month in Philadelphia. The movie stars Marc Summers, Colin Quinn, and Shaun Paul Costello, who is also directing.

Roddy Piper has pulled out his appearance at The Ultimate Collectibles Show in Philadelphia, PA on October 3rd & 4th due to health reasons.

Ricky Morton was presented with a Lifetime Achievement award from Showtime All-Star Wrestling at their TV taping in Millersville, TN on September 16th. Surprisingly, no one came out to interrupt the ceremony, nor was the plaque busted over Morton?s head.

Brian Blair, who is running for the Florida House of Representatives District 47, now has an official Facebook for his campaign at Facebook.com/pages/Brian-Blair/151530976102?ref=ts or just Facebook Search Brian Blair where you can be a supporter.

Oklafan would like to congratulate A. J. Styles and his wife Wendy on the birth of their son. They named their son Albey and he was 7 pounds, 7 ounces. According to TNA announcer Jeremy Borash's Twitter, "Within moments of being out of the womb, he (Albey) Pele kicked the doctor."

Oklafan send its condolences to friends and family of Mick Foley, who's father Jack passed away last week at the age of 76 after a long illness.

Oklafan would also like to send its condolences to the friends and family of Ted DiBiase, Sr. who's sister passed away recently.
