SW Oklahoma News From NWA-OK, TCBW, WPW And Talent Updates!

Posted: Jul 24th 2009 By: CMBurnham

Hello wrestling fans and thank you for continuing to support Oklahoma wrestling. The NWA-OK has a sent a statement via this column. "Here at NWA-OK, we truly appreciate all you true wrestling fans that have supported us throughout our transition. To all you great former UWF06/3DW fans, thank you for following us here to NWA-OK! Without you all, we would not exist and we appreciate you standing alongside us through all of our ups and downs. We say this because alot of our great talent and fans came from these 2 former promotions and have followed us here to the oldest and most recognizable name in wrestling here in Oklahoma, the National Wrestling Alliance. Our talent, some graduates of the before mentioned and now defunct company, UWF06 have ranked in the Oklafan top 10 in the state proving that they have truly made a name for themselves.-A. Santos"

With that said, here's what's happening with these bright stars so now to the news...

The NWA-OK has stripped High Society of their tag team titles due to Thomas Trump not being to defend due to an injury to his wrist. It's not certain if a tournament will take place in Oct. in Ada to crown new tag champs. Speaking of Trump, there's a rumor that a re-invention of sorts is in the works for Mr. Trump as he will be serving as a manager for Al Farat. We don't know if this manager move is temporary or not or if it's due to his injury. We do know that Mr. Trump is still one half of the TWF tag team champions with Les Mayne as High Society down in Texas and he and Farat still hold the TCBW tag straps as well. Does that mean a name change for Trump or his tag team? Will the old High Society (Farat and Trump) be forced to defend their TCBW titles on the big TCBW show in Ardmore, OK's Heritage Hall on Aug. 22nd even with Trump's injury? We shall find out soon enough. Speaking or Farat, he along with Thomas "Trump?", NWA-OK Champion Spoiler 2000, Ky-Ote, NWA-OK referees Danny Hunt and Donny Brooks will be part of an NWA Southwest Wrestling Spectacular taking place at the Whiteboro High School Gym in Whiteboro, TX (about 45 mins southeast of Ardmore, OK) on Sat. Aug. 1st at 7pm. It will be a TV taping so come and support the NWA-SW and the NWA-OK stars on the show. For more info on that show, go to http://www.nwa_southwest.com/ Oh, don't forget, some of our NWA-OK stars such as Les Mayne, Vixen (formerly Frankie Dee), Randi Lynn, Joshua Smith, Montego Seeka, Ky-Ote, Javi Hernandez, Scotty MoBody as well as midget stars Shortsleeve Sampson and Pittbull Patterson will be present tonight at the Kiowa Casino in Devol, OK at 7pm. Also, it's been confirmed that Prince Al Farat and referee Alex Santos will be at the IHWE and Wrecking Ball Wrestling shows this weekend in the DFW area. For more info on those, please visit www.myspace.com/ihw1998 and www.myspace.com/wreckingballwrestling In more news about our stars, Montego Seeka, Thug Nasty, Al Farat and Thomas "Trump?" will be traveling to Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI on Aug. 15 and 16 for IWC and Ed Farhat's AWWL. Check it out on www.myspace.com/iwcwrestling and http://www.awwlstars.com/

Al Farat and the official voice of NWA-OK, Joshua Smith will be on the card for a huge Mid-South show taking place in Ft. Smith, Arkansas on Sat. Aug. 29th at 7pm. Also on that card will be VH1's reality star, Matt Riviera as well as "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton and TNA's Knockout's Awesome Kong taking on Taylor Wilde! For more info on that card, go to http://www.traditionalwrestling.com/ On the homefront, NWA-OK will
returning to the Chickasaw Nation Community Center (Old Gym) in Ada, OK on Sat. Oct. 24th at 7pm with a huge card where all the NWA-OK titles will be defended and a new NWA-OK women's champion will be crowned so stay tuned and again, thank you for supporting the NWA-OK!
