NEWS
After Oklafan posted its "Mid-Year Report", Les Mayne posted the following on his My Space blog about being currently unranked for 2009: "I feel this is a right ranking and right opinion. I'm back to build upon what I had started a year ago. I feel I'm stronger and a lot more smart about wrestling and the wrestling business as a whole. Being out of wrestling regularly for the last year has put a lot of things into perspective. I'm more focus now then I ever have been. This is my dream and I'm going to see that it comes true. No one will stop me or slow me down to reach what I feel is mine. Its going to be a long, fun ride and I can't wait to hit it running. STAY TUNED..."

Ted DiBiase, Sr. has been added to the WWE Alumni page.

WWE is currently working on a "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase DVD.

Jim Duggan teases an autobiography coming out soon on his blog on the WWE site. You can read the entire blog by clicking here.

While Triple H was in Japan, he pushed Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger as the company?s best new talent. Of course, last week Swagger and Bourne were traded to RAW.

Tony Atlas is still with the WWE, but at this point, they have no direction for him now that he has been split away from Mark Henry.

Apparently the WWE announce teams are a lot happier these days with Vince McMahon more involved in the storylines. The common practice of Vince yelling down their headsets during TV tapings was what led Mick Foley to leave the company.

Mick Foley was named the "Fan of the Game" at last Wednesday's New York Yankees game.

TNA is currently working on 3 disc A. J. Styles DVD for a late 2009 or early 2010 release.

During a recent New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers baseball game, Milwaukee reliever Tod Coffee came to pitch, they played the Ultimate Warrior's entrance music and he ran in from the bullpen to the mound.

Former WWE official Dave Hebner was on the Bubba radio show in Tampa on Monday. Apparently he now works in a bowling alley in Richmond, VA. He said in his best year he made $218,000 while working for WWE. He put over Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and Triple H but buried Ultimate Warrior saying he was the dumbest guy he ever came across in wrestling. Well, of course he would say that. Bubba brought up how WWE fired the Hebner's a few years ago over the merchandising scam, but Dave didn't have much to say about it.

Leon "Big Van Vader" White who has been promoting shows in Japan of late, is training his son Jesse for a career in pro wrestling. A few years ago Jesse was recruited to the University of Oklahoma and was tipped for the NFL but a back injury ended any chance of a football career.

Ernie Ladd will be inducted into Grambling University's Sports Hall of Fame in Monroe, LA on July 18th. Ladd will be inducted for football and wrestling. He played college football at Grambling before being drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 1961.

Jerry Brisco underwent heart surgery early Thursday morning. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan would like to send its condolences to the friends and family of Waldo Von Erich who passed away on July 5th at the age of 75.
