NEWS
While Ted Turner, Bill Shaw and Eric Bischoff all denied invitations to be a part of the upcoming WWE DVD titled "The Rise and Fall of WCW," others didn't mind participating. Jim Crockett, David Crockett, former President of TBS Sports Harvey Schiller, former booker Kevin Sullivan, former WCW champ Bill Goldberg and others made themselves available for this three disc DVD set. Many current WWE Superstars who had a part in the Monday night wars were also interviewed. This much-anticipated DVD will be released on August 25th.

Jakks Pacific are releasing an internet exclusive Kane/Vader Classic twin-pack this week, which is a limited edition from their feud in 1998.

WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling announced a Father's Day special event which will take place on Friday June 19th at the Osceola Heritage Park Exhibition Hall in Kissimmee, FL. WWE Legends Gerald Brisco, Mike Rotunda, Haku, and the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase will all be in attendance with their respective sons. The show will also include a special autograph session with the ones mentioned above. Tickets range from $10 to $30 and they are available online at FCWwrestling.com.

It looks like the Ric Flair will indeed resume his wrestling career although it won't be for WWE. In an interview with the Associated Press, the sixteen time World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Hall of Famer said that he's not going to take no easily. "Do I think I will [wrestle]? Yes. Like I've said, I haven't retired, they retired me," said Flair, pointing out the angle he did leading up to WrestleMania XXIV where if he lost a match he would have been forced to retire.

Triple H called into Dave LaGreca's XM radio show on Sirius this past week. When asked about Ric Flair returning to the ring he was negative on the idea saying: "As much as I enjoy Ric on the show and I miss seeing Ric Flair on the show, I feel that he was given the ultimate send off in the business. There have been so many guys in the past... they retire and unretire then they retire and they unretire. It's almost a joke when they un-retire. He really wanted to be the guy who said, meant it, and did it. I don't know if he misses the business or he needs the money. I'm not sure what it is, but if he's thinking about coming back there has to be a pretty good reason because he was pretty adamant about that never happening."

Last Saturday, they did a poll on a NASCAR chat on Yahoo about who was better, Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan, and Hogan got 60% and Flair got 40%.

Two former heavyweight champions made their return to TNA Wrestling this week appearing on "iMPACT!" this past Thursday. They are Shane Douglas and Raven, who are both also former ECW World Champions. Douglas spent five years with TNA, coming in in 2003 and leaving in October 2007. Raven also made his TNA debut in 2003 and stayed there until March of last year.

It was reported that the TNA house show at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center in Oklahoma City drew 1000 fans. It should be noted that three days later, TNA drew 1100 fans at the "Sacrifice" pay-per-view event in Orlando, FL.

During Saturday's TNA live event in Amarillo, TX., WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk was present for the show and even participated in the main event. Mick Foley - who was the ringside enforcer for the Samoa Joe vs Scott Steiner match - called out his former tag team partner Funk as the second enforcer. Funk got a piece of the action as well by having an altercation with Scott Steiner.

In his latest blog, Mick Foley talks about seeing Danny Hodge, Jim Ross and Terry Funk and his family over the weekend, as well as Trina Michaels, who was in the same Rolling Stone article as Ashley Massaro and is now a California indie manager. You can read the blog at Blogs.MySpace.com/OfficialMickFoley.

412 Pro Wrestling has announced that their first event will be held August 1st in Tahlequah at the Tsa-La-Gi Community Room on the Cherokee Nation complex.

Oklafan received a message from OECW owner Martin Justice saying OECW owner is no longer running in Oklahoma as of April 1st and will begin running shows in northern Michigan starting in June.
