The Honky Tonk Man had this to say about his WrestleMania 25 weekend: "To all my fans, I had a great time at the WrestleMania & HOF weekend events. I was humbled to be with such greats of wrestling history and to be part of history. I was honoured and very excited to induct Koko (Koko B. Ware) into the Hall of Fame and I hope you all enjoyed it. I made sure to take my time so the words I spoke were absorbed by the fans and to make sure the induction was for Koko and not about HTM. I'd also like to say thank you to every Diva, wrestler, Legend, Hall of Famer and office personnel who showed me nothing but the up most respect."

Bret Hart did a radio interview over the weekend noting Dory Funk Jr. asked him to induct the Funks into the WWE Hall of Fame. He agreed to, but knew it would never happen as he was told Vince McMahon had already picked Dusty Rhodes to induct them. He also said he had spoken to Vince about putting out another DVD.

WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes were approached about assuming the role of Smackdown general manager. Flair turned down what is believed to be a $250,000 deal. Stephanie McMahon called Rhodes about the gig. At his age and size, Rhodes is not in favor of going back on the road, which is the main reason he left WWE creative to work full-time in Tampa with the developmental roster.

The Houston Chronicle ran a story on their front page last Monday and put over the performances by Shawn Michaels and Undertaker and called John Cena's WWE World Title win at least the 12th world title win in the city, mentioning Bronko Nagurski in 1939, Jack Brisco in 1973 and Steve Austin in 2001. He noted that when it was brought up he's listed in wrestling magazines as being 6-2, "Everyone in wrestling is four inches shorter than the program says they are." He said that TNA rotates its wrestlers in and out "except for me." For the first time, he also conceded age, saying, "I'm getting too old for this. I'm 40 and I've got 32 years of wrestling, quote unquote, amateur and pro, under my belt." He said he didn't like wrestling as a kid except for Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff.
