NEWS
On WWE 24/7, they have a Legends Roundtable with Teddy Long, Dusty Rhodes, Jim Ross, Tony Atlas and Bill Watts. Not sure if this is a leak on purpose or accident, but under Watts's name, it said "2009 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee".

Terry Funk and Dory Funk Jr. were officially announced for the Hall of Fame during RAW on Monday night. They join Steve Austin as the only members so far announced on TV for the class of 2009. Others yet to be announced include Ricky Steamboat, Bill Watts, and the Von Erich family. The Von Erichs, The Funks, and Austin are all from Texas which will make it even special for all of them since the show will be held in the state of Texas as well. The Funks will be inducted by another WWE Hall of Famer from Texas, Dusty Rhodes.

Amarillo.com recently spoke to Terry Funk about being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with his brother Dory Jr. When asked who is going in first, him or Dory, Terry said "We're going in together, that way we're not fighting about it." When asked about being inducted by Dusty Rhodes, Funk said with a laugh "I'd write his speech for him, but I don't think he could read it. I always made better grades than him."

PWInsider.com is reporting that word going around is that either Vince McMahon or Hulk Hogan made the first move for a possible deal for WrestleMania 25. A match between Hogan and John Cena was being mentioned but it seems that Cena has been thrown into the World Title picture with Edge and the possibility of Hogan/Cena happening is a bit remote now, always assuming that Hogan and WWE reach a deal. The other scenario brought up has Hogan working with Chris Jericho which would make even more sense since Jericho is targeting all the legends. While the original idea was for actor Mickey Rourke to wrestle Jericho, Rourke's people pulled him out of the match as it was seen as a risk to his Academy Award nomination. Insiders believe that once the Awards come and go, Rourke will go full speed ahead with the angle with Jericho, which now also involves Ric Flair and Roddy Piper. If Rourke still won't be allowed to wrestle, Hogan would be the perfect choice for Jericho as an opponent since Flair wrestling just a year after his retirement would spark some heated controversy. One of Hulk Hogan's closest friends, Bubba The Love Sponge, came out with a "no comment" when someone asked him on his radio show if Hogan will be appearing on the pay-per-view.

The CBS Evening News filmed a segment with WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair that will air this week in conjunction with the Oscars.

There is a 12 minute interview with Ric Flair up on the CBS Evening News site. It's a tremendous performance on the interview by Flair on life after wrestling. One thing on the steroid subject, Flair talked about how in wrestling it's the most stringent because if you test positive, you are suspended for 30 days, noting how that compares to baseball, but baseball you are suspended for one-third of the season on a first positive. Greco-Roman wrestler Joe Warren was suspended for two years and forced to miss the last Olympics where he was a medal favorite for testing positive for marijuana of all things. To view the interview, click here.

In an interview with The Ottawa Sun, The Honky Tonk Man said he would be attending the WWE Hall of Fame.

TNA is now using additional space in a soundstage next to the iMPACT! Zone. The new space has been used for Jeff Jarrett's office among other things.

Jim Cornette has a book on the Midnight Express going to press next month. It's due to release in April. At around 218 pages the book contains numerous press clippings and souvenirs from Cornette's personal collection.

Mick Foley and Ted DiBiase were the special guests on TSN's "Off The Record" two days ago to talk mainly about the movie "The Wrestler". Host Michael Landsberg is a big wrestling fan and has hosted several Superstars in the past with Foley being one of his all time favorites. You can watch the Mick Foley-Ted DiBiase appearance on TSN's "Off The Record" by clicking here.

Ted DiBiase did a shoot interview with RF Video on Friday.

Former WCW and WWE referee Nick Patrick has been named commissioner of Rampage Pro Wrestling based in Georgia.

There is an interview online with former WCCW TV producer Mickey Grant covering a number of subjects including his Chris Adams documentary and "The Wrestler". Click here for the interview.

Austin Tacious had surgery last week to have a tumor removed as well as his tonsils. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan reported last week that Al Snow married pro wrestler Bobcat. We failed to mention that one of Bobcat's bridemaids was Kaci Cannon, former pro wrestling valet and wife of Brent Albright.
