NEWS
It only took six months for the Nature Boy to get involved again! While he won't be wrestling, the sixteen time world champion Ric Flair will be making an appearance on Monday Night RAW tonight, the first since leaving the company in mid last year. Flair left his WWE ambassador role to focus more on making appearances and doing speeches, at the time saying that he wants to do things that he couldn't do while under WWE contract. Going solo, Flair attracted several offers in the thousands of dollars and has been all over the place doing his thing. Now after Jericho insulted Flair for his involvement with Mickey Rourke, the WWE Hall of Famer will respond live and in person on RAW in Oakland, CA. Flair is also scheduled to induct Ricky Steamboat at the Hall of Fame ceremony and will be at WrestleMania XXV

Ric Flair has a deal with baseball card company Donruss to produce a certified autograph card of Flair. "We are extremely excited to be bringing the hobby the first certified autograph cards from one of the most famous professional wrestlers of all time," said Donruss spokesman Scott Prusha. "Given the fact that he?s never had a certified autograph card, we knew he was a great fit for Donruss."

JBL and Matt Striker were guests Saturday at the opening of Charlie Haas and Jackie Haas' new Custom Muscle shop in Frisco, TX. JBL was there representing Layfield Entertainment.

Tuesday night on ESPN radio in New York, when talking about the Rangers retiring the jersey of Adam Graves, host Brandon Tierney talked about who in MSG history hadn't gotten his jersey retired that deserved to. He brought up Hulk Hogan, saying Hogan did more to make wrestling mainstream than anyone and deserves a ceremony and a star on the MSG Walk of Fame. Vince McMahon is the only wrestling personality with such a star. For the next two hours, nobody called up about Graves, even though the show was about him, and people called up about Hogan. Some argued he shouldn't be honored because wrestling isn't a sport. Tierney said Wrestlemania I changed wrestling and if you weren't at the show you can't understand how ground breaking that was. He's right, by the way. Others said McMahon is the only one who deserves a star but Tierney said nobody ever sold out MSG just to see McMahon. Well, if that's the qualification, then Bruno Sammartino should go in before Hogan. Others called up saying Ultimate Warrior should go in, and another said Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco should go in.

TNA has released a pictures of the DVD cover for "Jeff Jarrett: King of the Mountain". you can view the picture by clicking here. Five matches from Jarrett's early career will also be on the DVD.

On this past Friday's episode of "Psych", entitled "Truer Lies", Koko B. Ware was menitioned during a scene when a photo of 2 guys was shown, one of which did resemble Koko and Shawn Spencer said "No, I think that's Koko B. Ware. All he needs is a parrot on his shoulder."

The February 9th appearance of Mickey Rourke & Roddy Piper on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is actually a repeat of their January 14th appearance.

Season 2 of Bill Goldberg's "Bullrun" is scheduled to premiere on Speed TV on February 19th.

An issue of New York magazine from December talked about James Oladipo Buremoh, a tour bus driver in New York. He claimed in the story to be a king in Nigeria, was a pro wrestler as Ladi the African Tiger, that he was picked out of a crowd by Ernie Ladd to wrestle, worked with Jim Duggan, Andre the Giant and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, and promoted in Nigeria where he was the Hulk Hogan of Nigeria (apparently not meaning the biggest wrestling star, but the guy who tells the most made up stories).

Many fans and wrestlers have contacted Oklafan.com asking what happened to the AWFUL debut show in Midwest City on January 30th. Oklafan contacted the AWFUL owners and they delivered the following statement: "Despite the frigid conditions of last week's weather, A.W.F.U.L.'s staff was set and ready to go on January 30th. The wrestlers were on their way and it was a meer hour before the doors were set to open...when the plug got pulled. The owner of the facility where the show was happening demanded that the show be shut down. Rumors have been running rampant that the shut down was because certain other wrestling companies in the OK area do not welcome competition and DO NOT want A.W.F.U.L. to be in OKC. However we here at A.W.F.U.L. will not be denied, we pledge to the hundreds of fans that were turned away at the door and to those who pre-purchased their tickets online that we will get a better venue. We WILL be having our debut show very soon. All tickets that were purchased online at OKCtickets.com (now Ticketstorm.com) will be honored at the show. Check back for updates and be there when A.W.F.U.L. Arrives!!!"

Oklafan extends its condolences to Earl Kennedy and his family on the passing of his daughter McKenzie.
