NEWS
TNA World Champion Sting is rehabbing his knee in between television tapings. The Stinger didn't alert anyone in TNA of his injury.

The Funking Conservatory, the wrestling training school run by former NWA World Champion Dory Funk Jr., announced last week that Wahoo McDaniel Jr. has rejoined the Funking Conservatory Team after completing his academic education and pursuing a multi-trophy career in amateur and professional Surf Boarding. Wahoo Jr. is 20 years old, 6' 1" tall and an exceptional athlete who began his training for professional wrestling here at the Funking Conservatory when he was 15 years old. Wahoo Jr. is also an accomplished surfer, with a room chock full of trophies on display from surfing competition all over the world. Wahoo Jr. carries a surfboard on top of his car. A current photo of Wahoo McDaniel Jr. is now on their website at Dory-Funk.com.

Wes Brisco, the 25 year old son of WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco and nephew of former NWA World Champion Jack Brisco is now training in WWE?s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, FL. He was previously competing as a professional wakeboarder and as far as he?s doing now, they?re saying it?s too early to tell how he?s going to work out in the ring.

TVAtlas.com is selling a semi-exclusive three DVD set with Hulk Hogan & Bob Backlund replacing Ric Flair & Sgt. Slaughter for $39.95 in a 3-DVD Legend of Wrestling set, or all six DVDs at $54.95

The Ric Flair reality show is currently being shopped around with multiple offers out. The concept for the show has Ric and his son Reid living together as bachelors.

Pro Wrestling Insider is reporting that the deal has been completed and Ric Flair will indeed induct Steve Austin into the WWE Hall of Fame in April.

Ever since the movie "The Wrestler" came out, WWE tried to distance itself from it and a WWE spokesman even said that that's not the way WWE does business anymore and it's very different from what the company stands for today. Director Darren Aronofsky even gave WWE Chairman Vince McMahon a private screening of the movie and McMahon hated the way pro wrestling was portrayed, disliking the movie all the way. But now that Mickey Rourke won a Golden Globe and is now an Academy Award nominee, WWE is jumping on "The Wrestler" bandwagon. On Smackdown lasy Friday, WWE ran a brief look at the movie, their first acknowledgment of it since the movie came out. And on WWE.com, there's also a video of Lilian Garcia, Mark Henry, and Ric Flair all praising the movie. The movie's star Mickey Rourke is also in the video. In the video Flair said "Some people would give it a thumbs up, some people would give it 5 stars, Ric Flair gives it a WHOO!" It's funny how a couple of nominations at the biggest movie awards ceremony of the year can change the outlook of a company's view on a movie!

The current plan is for Tommy Dreamer to stop wrestling when his contract expires on June 6th. Apparently the angle with ECW World Champion Jack Swagger is getting over at the house shows.

The book Journal of A Journeyman, written by Dusty Wolfe, is now available for purchase at RasslinRiotOnline.com/DustyWolfeBookOrders.html.

Jose Lothario was in a roundtable discussion on Friday night at the Bijou Theatre in San Antonio for the local premiere of "The Wrestler".

Oklafan would like to congratulate TCBW Heavyweight Champion Michael Faith on recently surpassing 6 months as champion. He is the current TCBW Heavyweight Champion and that title was originally named the 3DW Heavyweight Title. Faith won the 3DW Heavyweight Title from Shane Rawls on July 5th.
