The Scoop

NEWS
According to reports, former wrestler and promoter "Cowboy" Bill Watts has accepted Vince McMahon's invitation to be inducted into WWE's hall of fame in April.

The downloadable content for "SmackDown vs Raw 2009" for Playstation 3 is available on the Playstation store for $4.99. It contains Rey Mysterio in a black spider web costume, the old Kane with mask and top, Mrs. Clause costumes for Maria and Kelly Kelly, and extra Superstars such as Ted DiBiase Jr., Super Crazy, Charlie Haas, and Evan Bourne.

In honor of Black History Month, WWE is featuring Bobo Brazil, The Rock, Junkyard Dog, Tony Atlas, Rocky Johnson, Ernie Ladd, James Dudley, Koko B. Ware, Kamala, Abdullah the Butcher, Ahmed Johnson, Bad News Brown, Ron Simmons, Butch Reed, Haiti Kid, Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray & Booker T), and Mark Henry on "WWE 24/7" in February.

WWE Hall of Famer Afa has started work on his official biography.

A couple of days ago Jim Ross was a special guest on the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show in Florida and talked about WrestleMania XXV. The host, who is a big friend of Hulk Hogan, said that a Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan match should be done with Ross saying that it probably will never happen. Noting that neither man would job for the other, Ross said that maybe a double disqualification would be the best finish with another tag team like The Miz and John Morrison interfering, giving them the rub while sharing the spotlight with the two legends. Moments later, Hulk Hogan called into the show and said he didn't agree with Ross' finish of the match, saying a match of that importance should have a definite winner. The former WWE and WCW champion then said that he would have no problem putting over Steve Austin if the match ever takes place. It should be noted that every year, a few months before WrestleMania is scheduled to take place, Hogan starts sending signals that he'd like to appear knowing a big paycheck would be coming his way!

On last Friday night's "WWE Smackdown", the woman who played the role of Jeff Hardy's fiance Beth was not the Beth who in real life is Jeff Hardy's fiance. There is an historical precedent for this as years ago, when WCW did the Cactus Jack has amnesia angle (a dud of an angle if ever there was one) they had an actress play his wife Collette.

Surprisingly Mick Foley's bio back on the WWE Alumni page.

TNA World Champion Sting is on the cover of the new Inside Wrestling magazine, available now at newsstands across the United States.

ShopTNA.com has several new items in stock including an O. D. B. flask, two different Main Event Mafia shirts, a Sting hoodie, and more.

According to various reports, names backstage at last night's Genesis PPV in Charlotte, NC including Johnny Fairplay, Hermie Sadler, Shannon Moore, and Nikita Koloff. Apparently Moore was telling friends that he hopes to return to TNA.

Missy Hyatt will be inducted into the Women Superstars Uncensored Hall of Fame at the March 7th event.
