The Armbar Press

The Armbar Press

Posted: Oct 31st 2008 By: mikeiles

Hello to all you Oklahoma wrestling fans! I know, I know, it's been awhile since you read anything Armbar-ish but with all the hot indy pro wrestling action going on and all the Oklahoma stars traveling everywhere, I have alot to write about. We'll start with this...

"The Armbar Press" is now adding reports from different promotions to create some diversity and to help Oklafan showcase the awesome talent that we have in our state. Now to the news...TCB, (Triumphant Christian Battles) now has an official and may I add more main stream wrestling sounding name and boy what a name it is. We introduce you to TCBW, "The Country's Best Wrestling". An idea hatched by the company's quasi-booker Mr. Santos, it came as a direct tie in to what it already sounded like. TCB will still be the parent company as it is christian owned and TCBW will be the product brand name. Don't forget to check out TCBW's next show in Davis on Nov. 8th @ 7:00pm @ the Davis High School Gym and their special Christmas show coming in Dec., more info on that when we get it.

Boy are Seth Allen and Dane Griffin hot or what? It seems like no matter what name they choose or is chosen for them, T. M. S. or "Too Much Sexy" as they were first known is sure to become one of the best tag-teams in Oklahoma. They have been making waves in NWA-SW/PWF in Amarillo, TX as well as IZW and MSWA in OK. Look out cause I see gold on the horizon for these 2 very talented young men.

Speaking of gold, can you believe it? 4 sets of tag-team belts for "High Society" and now Thomas Trump has just won this past weekend the TWF, "Texas Wrestling Federation" Heavyweight title making it 5 straps around his waist. Check out www.myspace.com/thomastrump, www.texaswrestlingfederation.com and/or www.myspace.com/highsociety. This Sat., Nov. the 1st they will be traveling to Gonzales, TX to defend those titles against "The New Dynamic Duo", El Latino and Tito Sanchez. Also be sure to check out Ky-ote, Montego Seeka, High Society and the debut of Al Farat's son, Kasimar Farat as he dons the striped shirt as "special guest referee" for High Society (this doesn't look good for their opponents) when they travel to Chi-town for a show on Sat. Nov. 8th. In the main event Farat will be going for I.W.C. gold and I say with that kind of ammo in his holster, you might as well say it'll be 5 straps for that cheating camel sniffer too! Say what you will but that undoubtedly and unfourtunately makes them 2 of the most highly decorated wrestlers to come out of this state in recent history. Check out Chicago's I.W.C. on www.myspace.com/iwcwrestling as these OK boys go back in Jan. 10th for the "I.W.C. Explosion Show" where the NWA World Champion Blue Demon, Jr. will be on hand.

According to their TX/OK inter-state talent reps, J. Cowen and A. Santos, NWA-SW is planning a HUGE anniversary show for possibly Feb. or March 2009 which will feature OK stars like "The Largeador" Michael Faith, Prince Al Farat, Cody Jones and others but we'll keep you posted.

Don't forget to catch NWA-SW news and interviews every Tues. night on shootingstarradio.com 2 weeks ago it was High Society talking about all their title defenses and Farat's upcoming NWA Mexico in Dec. and Puerto Rico in Feb. tours, last week it was Michael Faith talking about his upcoming Japan trips and his NWA title pursuits. What other stars with Oklahoma ties will be there next? Stay tuned! NWA-OK will be in Tahlequah on Nov. 22nd so check them out and until then this is "Triple B" saying...see ya ringside!
