Michael Barry wrestled former WCW star Disco Inferno last week in Somerset, KY at Southern Independent Wrestling Federation's "Legends of Wrestling" event. Although he lost to Disco, a TNA road agent in attendance liked what he saw from Barry and told him to give him a call in a few weeks.

On that same card in Somerset, KY, The Old School Express (Jake Boulder & Jason Jones) defeated War Party to win the vacant Southern Tag Team Titles. The titles are not exclusive to SIWF and will be defended in several states. They will receive the newly designed title belts at the next Mid-States Wrestling event slated for August 30th in Harrison, AR. No word as to whether the Old School Express vs. Gentleman Thugs match at the MWA debut show will be for the titles.

The WWE Hall of Fame duo of Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will get back to business together for one night this coming Monday as they tape the one hour Saturday Night's Main Event show which will air on August 2nd. After over a decade announcing RAW together, JR was moved to Smackdown! during the draft this year and Michael Cole took his place while Ross was paired up with newbie commentator and former WWE champion Mick Foley. The Ultimate Warrior showed up at the Marriott in Uniondale, NY last Sunday basically across the street from the WWE "Great American Bash" pay-per-view event. He was dressed in full gimmick with his old WWF Intercontinental Title belt signing autographs for fans. The WWE actually sent Warrior legal papers on July 9th requesting that he move his public appearance to another location on the grounds that he is "exploiting" the popularity of the WWE for his own commercial gain.
