NEWS
For those that wonder, besides working as an announcer on "WWE RAW", Jim Ross works as a WWE consultant and continues to handle the payroll.

A supermarket employee, a caregiver for the mentally disabled, two stay-at-home moms, a scheduling manager for a neurosurgeon, a Wal-Mart employee, a construction worker, and a an internet retailer were the first eight winners of WWE's "McMahon Million Dollar Mania". Seven of them won a lot of money and one of them won just $2, although WWE offered that unlucky winner a free trip to New York for the whole family. The last winner, who won $250,000, said he's in a divorce battle. "I'm sure there's going to be an interesting fight over it," he told WWE.com afterwards. Winner of the night? Certainly the guy who exclaimed "Holy sh!t" on live television, almost killing Jerry Lawler with laughter and putting a smile on Vince McMahon's face. "And we are live," said Jim Ross. Indeed. All the winners had to do was give the secret code when the Chairman called, which was "WWE Universe".

The bit on "WWE RAW" where Charlie Haas helped Vince McMahon give away money was a rib on Vince by the creative team as McMahon once said he would rather watch paint dry than watch Haas wrestle. Vince took the rib in stride and actually thought it was pretty funny.

Vince McMahon made the call to not allow Ric Flair to be present at the NWA Hall of Fame ceremony, not wanting his wrestler to give credibility to a hall of fame other than the WWE Hall of Fame.

Speaking of Flair, his son Reid has yet to report to Florida Championship Wrestling. The younger Flair is under a WWE developmental deal.

ROH tried to bring in Ric Flair and Kenta Kobashi for the August 2nd show in Manhattan, just to have both together in the same place. WWE wouldn't allow Flair to attend.

Sean Casey of the Red Sox read the lineup at Saturday's game with the Reds. He finished by going "Woooo!" and had his Ric Flair "Woooo" T-shirt on.

Not only was head Smackdown writer Michael Hayes suspended for two months but he had to go to sensitivity training and alcohol recovery classes. He was also demoted from being a company Vice President. The company sees him as a valuable asset but they also feel that they can live without him if he continues to screw up. He is returning to the company as a writer, but not as an executive. He also lost two months of salary, and had to agree to not to drink alcohol while doing anything associated with the company. Hayes will make his return to WWE at the June 23rd Draft episode of RAW from San Antonio, Texas, but he was already back to work last week. He was in the WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling scouting and giving advice to much of the roster.

WWE.com when updating the lineup for June Gems, posted a Lou Thesz vs. Antonino Rocca match on 24/7. So what do they say about Thesz, who some would tab the greatest pro wrestler of all-time? First, they spelled his name Lou Thez, and his main claim to fame is that Steve Austin used the Thesz press in many of his matches.

Ted DiBiase's book was released last Thursday. Reports indicate that it is a better book than the one he released several years ago that was pretty much kayfabe.

Scott Teal's Crowbar Press has released the autobiography of Downtown Bruno Lauer aka Harvey Wippleman at 1WrestlingLegends.com which includes a foreword by Dwayne Johnson and praises from Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and Chris Jericho.

Mae Young was in California visiting family last week and WWE asked her to come to Monday's show in Oakland.

Jakks Pacific will release two new 3-packs in their "Classic Superstars" line. The first pack will have Jimmy Hart along with Rhythm & Blues (The Honky Tonk Man & Greg Valentine). The second 3-pack will have Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson, and The Rock. It should be noted that the Valentine figure will have black hair, as was his hair color while a member of Rhythm & Blues.

Kurt Angle was pretty banged up after his match with A. J. Styles at TNA's "Slammiversary" pay-per-view event on June 8th, but he did work a match at the "TNA iMPACT!" tapings on Monday, June 9th.

Ultimate Warrior is doing a contest where you can win his workout shirt at YouTube.com/user/UltimateWarriorTV where you can also see him training.

If ANYONE has results from the MSWA show on June 8th, Oklafan needs those. We were unable to send a representative to that event.
