NEWS
The wedding of Rough House R.O.B. and his bride-to-be was scheduled for April 20th in Warren, MI with Greg Valentine as his best man. In what was supposed to be the best day of his life, it was the complete opposite for poor R.O.B. He announced his day began by his dog getting hit and killed by a hit and run driver. He told the fans that his best man (Valentine) was nowhere to be found, wasn't answering his phone, and had the wedding rings for the ceremony. Let's also not forget that the minister that Rob booked for the show was a no-show as well. Mike McMahon proceeded to interrupt and announce he was the one that cancelled the minister. He told R.O.B. that everybody had a price, and he had paid Valentine to stay home. He even reminded R.O.B.'s fiancee of a secret love affair she had one night in Tampa, FL back in 1989. Though she denied it at first, she eventually broke down and admitted McMahon's words were the truth. That's right, fans. Years ago, Greg gave R.O.B.'s girl "The Hammer". If all of that wasn't enough, McMahon admitted that he was the one who ran over RO.B.'s dog that morning. With R.O.B. in tears, McMahon announced on May 18th that Rough House R.O.B. will battle Greg "The Hammer" Valentine in a Dog Collar Match.

Smackdown head writer Michael Hayes has been suspended for a total of sixty days for making an "explicitly insulting comment" towards Smackdown! Superstar Mark Henry. The incident happened during the WrestleMania week and the company tried not to make a big deal out of it by not announcing Hayes' suspension and saying instead that he was on vacation. However word travels fast in WWE land and eventually the real reason managed to find its way up to the surface.

There is heat on Mark Henry for complaining about the racial slur made by Michael Hayes Wrestlemania weekend.

Speaking of Michael Hayes, he and Triple H were instrumental in putting together the The Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. match at Wrestlemania 24.

Those that were rubbed the wrong way at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony by The Rock appear to be the "vocal minority." One of the guys that apparently complained was Steve Austin, who came to the Hall of Fame ceremony specifically to see Ric Flair's induction. Austin felt The Rock's lengthy speech cut Flair's speech time.

Look for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair to be kept busy. Despite being off television, Flair will continue on the road doing media appearances, on-sales, autograph signings, trade shows, and other functions representing the company. Flair should be able to make significant money doing autograph appearances. At this point, there are no plans for him to return to television. As previously reported, he doesn't want to be an announcer or work as a road agent.

WWE will release "Ric Flair: The Definitive Collection" on DVD on July 8th. Click here to see the artwork of the cover. According to the artwork it will be a 3 disc set.

During the New Orleans Hornets vs. Dallas Mavericks game at New Orleans the guy running the game speakers keeps woooing Ric Flair style and the crowd keeps responding
with woos of their own.

Ric Flair was in Baltimore Friday doing radio and TV promoting Backlash, even though the event was sold out. He also pushed his DVD. The local DJ asked Flair to put him in the figure four. Flair declined.

Natalya Neidhart, daughter of Jim Neidhart, has now been added to the Smackdown roster page on the WWE website.

There are reports that WWE has called Mick Foley and wants him as the new announcer on Smackdown. Jonathan Coachman was not at Backlash and was replaced in the booth by Foley.

Mick Foley's profile has been added to Smackdown roster page on WWE.com.

Wrestling promoter Dale Gagner was ordered to pay $3,000 in court costs for failing to respond to WWE's attempt to get AWA documents as part of the WWE's lawsuit against Gagner and his company for using the AWA name. On a side note, WWE legal team's expenses against the AWA and Mr. Gagner have exceeded six figures in this case. WWE claims AWA ownership as a result of purchasing the assets of Verne Gagne's AWA a few years ago.

Jakks Pacific has announced that "Dr. Death" Steve Williams will be a part of an upcoming Classic Superstars series.

ShopTNA.com is now selling autographed 8x10 photos of Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, Tomko, Sting, Jay Lethal, The Motorcity Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), and others.

TNA had A. J. Styles & Tomko drop the TNA World Tag Team Titles because Tomko has major heat with TNA Management. He was asked to skip the Inoki Genome Federation show on April 12th in Osaka, Japan. Despite TNA's request, Tomko worked the Inoki show, and as a result, missed the "Lockdown" Fan Fest. As a result, TNA had Tomko and Styles drop the tag team titles.

TNA Knockout Rhaka Khan also has a lot of heat with TNA. The company wasn't happy that she attended the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. (She is a former WWE developmental talent). She also did herself no favors in regards to TNA's new trading card deal. Under the agreement, each TNA talent had to autograph 1,000 cards. Instead of signing her cards at a recent Impact taping, Khan decided to send her cards in via Fed Ex. When management checked out her cards, they noticed the signatures didn't match, thus they figured she must have had someone forge some of the signatures. When confronted, she said she got tired, and changed her signature. Worse yet, she spelled Rhaka wrong on some cards, and Khan wrong on others. Jeff Jarrett made the call to just eliminate her from the set.

The April 25th edition of the Canadian game show "PopQ" had a wrestling theme. Contestants were asked to name "retro wrestlers". The five contestants won by guessing Ric Flair, Billy Red Lyons, Andre the Giant, Angelo Mosca, and The Honky Tonk Man. The unguessed answers were Kevin Sullivan, Ox Baker, Sgt. Slaughter, Bobo Brazil, and S. D. Jones. The incorrect guesses were The Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, George Steele, Nick Bockwinkel, Mankind, The Fabulous Moolah, Nikolai Volkoff, Haystacks Calhoun, Brutus Beefcake, The Missing Link, and Roddy Piper.

With Adam Thornstowe's loss of the Supreme Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title to J. D. Bishop on April 20th, it ended Thornstowe's 2 year title reign.

There are now Ultimate Warrior video web blogs posted on You Tube. You can view them by clicking here. View at your own risk.

Ultimate Warrior has been doing publicity for his return in Spain. He did Chicago and Dallas radio Monday morning. In Dallas, he was asked by the host, who was gay, about his rants on homosexuality. Warrior said his views have been taken out of context. He talked about steroid use and abuse in wrestling. He said the WWE shouldn't be held responsible for deaths of wrestlers. He pushed that his return on June 25th can be watched on the web.

An interview with The Warrior on the "Puddin and the Playhouse" show in Chicago is now available for download at http://a1135.g.akamai.net/f/1135/18227/1h/cchanel.download.akamai.co.

Monday was the 6th anniversary of the death of Lou Thesz and third anniversary of the death of Chris Candido. Dave Meltzer told a funny story about Chris on his website. Shortly after he won the NWA World title, he came across Thesz and noted to Thesz that he was the NWA champion. Thesz then told him that he'd better keep his guard up for double-crosses in the ring and people wanting to steal the belt from him. Lou didn't realize just how much things had changed.
