NEWS
This year's WWE Hall of Fame class got beautiful rings at their induction ceremony. Reportedly, all the previous WWE Hall of Famers will also be receiving rings sometime in the future. Jim Ross' wife asked him if he was going to take off his 1974 University of Oklahoma National Championship ring to wear his WWE Hall of Fame ring and he response to her was "Good question".

The American Dream Dusty Rhodes removed himself from the WWE creative department and is now heading the developmental territory at Florida Championship Wrestling, the only WWE affiliated training ground for upcoming Superstars. Recently Rhodes has been working on the ECW brand. He didn't appear on RAW last Monday night for the Flair ceremony because of the new job, where he will be overseeing character development and creative. Instead of appearing live, there was a taped segment by Dusty where he called Ric Flair a 'national treasure'. Several people within WWE felt Dusty Rhodes needed a change of venue, thus his move to developmental should be a good transition

In a recent interview with Mark Madden, Ric Flair said he had been studying his matches with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.

With the in-ring career of Ric Flair now over, many have wondered what's next? While he will devote more time to his new business called Ric Flair Finance, Flair remains employed by WWE and will be doing public relations work for the company. Flair's respect to the McMahon family is no secret and he's been always loyal to the family and the company whenever he was employed. The plan to have Flair do PR work has been long in the works.

Flair will also be doing the CBS reality show "Secret Talents of the Stars" starting tonight at 10 Eastern. Daily Variety reports that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" producer and former agent Gavin Polone will be a judge on the show. Debbie Reynolds and Brian McKnight will also be on the panel.

Ric Flair was on ABC doing the pregame intros for the New Orleans Hornets vs Golden State Warriors game on the court wearing his blue and black robe. (They play his whoooooo at various parts of games ever since they were the Charlotte Hornets.) Also said "Chris 'by god' Paul" like he was cutting a promo while announcing.

There is talk that Ric Flair could return to WWE television in a non-wrestling role in a few months. Flair is opposed to becoming a road agent or announcer.

The Ric Flair tribute shirt that was being sold at The Hall of Fame is now available at [http://www.wweshop.com] WWEshop.com[/url].

Don't know if this is still up, but Wednesday morning at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q07EoupiGjg is footage of after Raw on Monday went off the air. Other footage is at
www.videoshare.bigupload.com/view/9712/ric-flair-tribute-after-raw-went-off-the-air/

Shawn Michaels bought matching Rolex President watches for Ric Flair and himself to commemorate their classic match at Wrestlemania 24. The inscription on the back of Ric?s says "To be the Man" and on the back of HBK?s it says "You have to beat the Man." Plus the number "24" commemorating Wrestlemania 24 is inlaid on the face of the watch in diamonds.

The Flair Tribute overrun segment on Raw Monday night scored a 4.7 rating.

Flair has been taken off the Smackdown roster page and Kane has moved from Smackdown to ECW on WWE's website.

Howard Stern Thursday mentioned Ric Flair crying at getting the key to the city of Columbia. Stern said someone should have told Flair that a key to the city is worthless. Reports that Stern continued to make fun of Flair on Friday's show are untrue as Friday's show was a repeat of a show from 1995.

WWE is scheduled to release a DVD entitled "Ric Flair - The Definitive Collection" on or around July 8th.

Ken Hoffman of the Houston Chronicle in Sunday's column in a letters section got some letters regarding a column he did a few days ago on Ric Flair. One person wrote in they went to Wayland Academy prep school with Flair in Beaver Dam, WI. They noted the headmaster of the school when Flair was there was Ray Patterson, who now is the president of the Houston Rockets. Another person talked about one night buying a round of drinks for the Four Horsemen and getting four hours of stories and Flair trying to take his clothes off. Hoffman noted that he's stunned WWE hasn't announced Flair's coming out of retirement match. "There are wrestlers who have been dead for 20 years who still manage to climb through he ropes for one last match."

"Express," a major daily in Germany ran a two-page article on Wrestlemania Sunday. It was the first time in a long time that the mainstream newspaper press in that country had covered Wrestlemania. A lot of the TV news shows covered Floyd Mayweather vs. Big Show. They noted going to the show with people chanting "Voooo" all night long, saying it was the call of the Hyena and the trademark call that wrestling fans make. They did say it was invented by Ric Flair "four decades ago." (well, he did do it during the 70s). They said the fans were divided into guys with beer bellies, boys with baseball caps and women with children, all yelling "Vooo." They quoted a wrestling expert saying Germany has a new wrestling boom, but right now the only free TV in the country is one hour edited Smackdown and year-old TNA in a floating time slot.

Trish Stratus was on Fight Network Radio on the Wrestlemania recap show and kind of knocked the Bunnymania idea, making a spitting sound when asked about the match. She said there is a place for it because WWE has a deal with Playboy, but felt Beth Phoenix should have defended the women's title on the card.

Roddy Piper missed Wrestlemania weekend due to a movie project he current is involved with.

The daughter of Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart, Nattie Neidhart, made her debut during the Smackdown! tapings last week in Miami, FL., attacking Cherry and Michelle McCool in the Divas segment. Neidhart has been assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling since June of 2007 after spending her first few months at Deep South Wrestling. She is the first ever female third generation wrestler to make it to WWE. The 25 year old was trained by her two of her uncles, Bruce and Ross Hart.

There are reports that Jeff and Matt Hardy were originally scheduled to induct The Brisco Brothers into the Hall of Fame but those plans were scrapped when Jeff was suspended.

Jakks Pacific has released WWE Classic Superstars 18. The set includes Steve Austin, Kane, The Honky Tonk Man, Jim Ross, Val Venis, Rikishi, Mabel, Sunny (issued 1 per 2 cases), Mae Young (issued 1 per 2 cases), and Ric Flair (LJN style chaser).

WWE will release a new DVD entitled "The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment" on June 3rd. Among the matches featured on the DVD will include 3 matches against Mick Foley as Mankind, and one match with The Rock tagging with Foley as Mankind against The Undertaker & The Big Show.

Jeff Jarrett is wanting more seriousness to the TNA product and more ring time and apparently Dutch Mantel wants what Jarrett's wants.

Ring of Honor announced that over 2800 fans witnessed ROH's Orlando, FL doubleshot on March 28th & 29th. ROH officials feel that Saturday's event would have drawn better, but some fans went to WWE's Hall Of Fame ceremony because of Ric Flair.

Peach State Pandemonium featured a special two-hour tribute to the memory of Gary Hart on Saturday morning last week. Bill Watts, Jack Brisco, James Beard and Abdullah the Butcher all joined them live, while pre-recorded comments from Michael Hayes, Kevin Sullivan, George Steele, Skandor Akbar, and Jim Ross were also broadcast. Click here for the archive. Rich Tate, who put together the Gary Hart tribute radio show asked to make mention of Jim Ross' commitment to doing the show after being hospitalized this past week

RFVideo did a World Class Reunion DVD with Gary Hart, Bill Irwin and Skandar Akbar on 3/15, which was one day before Hart passed away. Hart talks about the Von Erichs vs. Freebirds feud and his belief Michael Hayes has taken too much of the credit, Fritz pushing his sons, Gino Hernandez, and Kabuki vs Jimmy Valiant feud, Ken Mantell and the 1974 babyface turn of Dusty Rhodes in Florida.

King King Bundy has undergone foot surgery, and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks. Bundy has trimmed down to 315 lbs.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts is out of rehab.

Bushwacker Luke is now accepting independent bookings.

The Ultimate Warrior will receive an award for his career at the Nu Wrestling Evolution event in Madrid, Spain on April 19th.
