Ric Flair's opponent as Wrestlemania 24 is still up in the air. Tentatively it is scheduled to be Shawn Michaels but the latest rumors are Batista will be The Natureboy's opponent. Hulk Hogan stated in an interview with MTV.com that he would like to face Ric Flair at Wrestlemania. Hogan also was a guest on "Sporting News Radio" Thursday night and again said Wrestlemania this year lacks a main event and pushed the idea of wrestling Flair.

WWE announced that Ric Flair will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at Wrestlemania 24.

At New Orleans Hornets home games whenever a big play happens the DJ guy plays Ric Flair's signature "WHOOOOO!" and when the Hornets win they play Flair other signature line "To be the man, you've got to beat the man."

ECW drew a 1.4 rating on Tuesday night, but it was the biggest audience to watch ECW in months. Ric Flair's appearances outrated all the special guests they've had in a long time.

Sgt. Spanky Gibson of the U.S. Marines wrote a thank you letter to WWE which the company posted on its web site from Camp Fallujah. Gibson had part of his leg amputated in the war and talked of being a fan and sitting with Jim Ross on a recent flight.

Jakks Pacific's "WWE Classic Superstars Series 16" includes Vince McMahon, Ultimate Warrior, X-Pac, Sycho Sid, Giant Gonzalez, Warlord, Barbarian, and Shawn Michaels.

Jeff Jarrett would love to see "TNA iMPACT!" moved to Monday nights head to head with Raw but Spike doesn't seem intrested in competing with WWE at this time.

Time Warner Cable on Demand has an 11 minute UFC 82 Countdown show focusing on Silva vs. Henderson and Kongo vs. Herring, plus they have the A. J. Styles vs. Rhino Elevation X match from last year

A brand new wrestling documentary entitled "Bloodstained Memoirs" that has interviews with Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Mick Foley, Roddy Piper, Christian Cage, and others will be out on DVD in 2008.

Roger Cantrell announced that Georgia Wrestling Promotions will be doing legends awards presentation in conjunction with their "Night of the Legends" show on March 14th in Dalton, GA, at the Northwest Trade Center. The presentation will take place at 7:45pm and will include the awards to the following legends: Dennis Condrey, Bobby Eaton, Bob Armstrong, Brad Armstrong, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Bill Dundee, Manny Fernandez, and Brian Pillman (accepting the award will be Lexi Pillman).

UWF06 announced that they will running a show in Gainesville, TX on May 31st and one of the matches on the card will be UWF06 Femme Fatale Champion Frankie Dee taking on Gail Kim and Traci Brooks in a Three Way Dance.

A local area media/film producer has expressed some interest in creating a documentary about the history of professional wrestling in Oklahoma. Oklafan Senior Editor C. M. Burnham and Oklafan Associate Editor Mike Iles were both contacted about participating in this venture.

Jack Dalton is selling his wrestling ring with trailer and ring bell for $2000. Interested parties can contact him at handsomejackdalton@yahoo.com. Dalton said he will accept cash, money orders, cashier's checks, or gold bullion.

Oklafan extends its congratulations to Lily McKenzie and her husband on the birth of their son Thursday.
