Brieanna Bringle (formerly known as Sassy Merlot) returned to valeting in Oklahoma this past weekend in IZW when she accompanied Nathan Sensation & Striker to the ring for their match against The New Age Syndicate. She is now going by Brieanna Bringle which is the name she changed to a few months back in Arkansas. In an interview by Oklafan Associate Editor Mike Iles for "Mid-States Wrestling Live", she said that "Sassy Merlot" was done with wrestling but now "Brieanna Bringle" was here to stay. In Oklahoma, Brieanna has valeted for Michael Barry, Team Shenanigans, and was even a member of Hate, Inc. for a brief time in NWA Universal. Outside of Oklahoma she has been the valet for Jason Jones and Butch Reed, among several others. Also in June 2006, she defeated Jack Dalton in a "Battle of the Blondes Best Body Swimsuit Contest" in Harrison, AR for Mid-States Wrestling.

There is a nice article at JacksonSun.com on Helen Stahl, 77, a high school art teacher in Memphis who is the answer to a trivia question as she was Jerry Lawler's favorite teacher, and because Lawler couldn't afford college, she sent a portfolio of his work to Memphis State and got him a full art scholarship.

Maxim has an article out on Andre the Giant, claiming he consumed 7,000 calories of alcohol per night and that Hogan vs. Andre's match on NBC's "Saturday Night's Main Event" was watched by 33 million people.

WWE Smackdown head writer Michael Hayes is the biggest supporter for Jeff Hardy right now. Hayes has always pushed the Hardy's in creative meetings.

WWE filmed a Wrestlemania commercial on a beach in St. Petersburg which featured Maria, Kelly Kelly, Mae Young and Carlito.

Prior to Jim Ross inking a new two year contract with WWE, the Hall of Fame announcer had been working without a contract since November.

About 800 people were at the Ric Flair autograph session Monday in New York.

Friday on AOL, there was a page entitled "Schwarzenegger Endorses McCain" page. If you clicked through the photo gallery, you'd see all the celebrities who endorse candidates. On the 9th photo (which is of 50 Cent) It said in the caption,"Who is former wrestler Ric Flair campaigning for?". The word "former" is interesting to note.

Lacey Von Erich, daughter of Kerry Von Erich, recently posted the following message on her My Space site: "I'm living in L.A. and love traveling and wrestling with different federations... W.W.E. introduced the moves to me while being in their developemental program in Tampa, Fl." Lacey will be a guest on the "Wrestling Weekly" radio show tomorrow night at 8pm EST (7pm Central).

Raisha Saied, the manager of TNA Knockouts Champion Amazing Kong, wears a burka that conceals her face. Allegedly, it is independent star and AACW Women's Champion Cheerleader Melissa under the burka.

According to recent TNA attendance numbers, the Oklahoma City show drew about 1500 fans.

The TNA web site has removed the profiles of Rick Steiner and Senshi, and added Jimmy Rave and Peyton Banks.

CBC News' "The Fifth Estate" on Wednesday night February 6th, has a special on the death of Chris Benoit. Bret Hart and Jake Roberts are interviewed, along with Michael Benoit. They blamed the concussions Benoit suffered as a pro wrestler for his actions.

Joel Hunt is selling his collection of wrestling bios of Missy Hyatt, Lou Thesz, Jim Wilson, Jack Brisco and Bobby Heenan for $10 at JHunt66157@aol.com That's a bargain on the Thesz book which is hard to come by these days.

Service members and civilians gathered at the Morale, Welfare and Recreation clamshell to take part in The Legends of Wrestling tour at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan on Jan. 26. Professional wrestling greats Nikolai Volkoff, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Diamond Dallas Page and legendary manager "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart took pictures and signed autographs for wrestling fanatics. Trivia questions were asked of the crowd, those who gave correct responses won hats and T-shirts.

If you play "The Simpsons" video game, during one of the cut scenes Homer was talking about the principal stealing and he said "It's like The Iron Shiek and Rowdy Roddy Piper had a baby."

From the "We Must Have Missed It" file comes this: Mr. Wrestling II and Mr. Wrestling III were set to defend the HCW Kekaulike Tag Team Titles against former champions Tao Samoa (Ativalu & Ete) at the Hawaii Championship Wrestling event in Honolulu, HI on January 12th but Mr. Wrestling II tweaked his knee during his morning jog that morning. He was replaced in the match by Kaimana who turned on Mr. Wrestling III causing the title loss.
