BIG DOUBLE ISSUE!!

1-7 WWE RAW

Shawn Micheals & Mr. Kennedy def. Charlie Haas & Trevor Murdoch in a Strange Bedfellows Match.

Mick Foley & Hornswoggle def. The Highlanders to qualify for the Royal Rumble.

1-10 TNA iMPACT

Chris Harris was in Jim Cornette's office asking what he has to do to earn some respect while Cornette had his ears plugged. Harris asked if Cornette was listening and Cornette said he was trying not to. Harris said he'd been there since day one and he didn't even have his own parking spot. Cornette told Harris to either shut up or shoot him. Harris asked if he had a gun. Cornette said he wished he did. He said that since Harris was always whining about not having matches, he'd give him a match. Tonight, Harris would be facing Judas Mesias. Harris complained about that, calling Mesias a "blood spitting vampire". He said when he was done with that match, he would be back. Cornette said if Harris came back, he'd commit suicide on live TV. After Harris left, Cornette said he's got enought troubles with Robert Roode running around tonight. Then Samoa Joe burst in and demanded to know if Cornette set him up by teaming him with Kevin Nash at the TNA "Final Resolution" PPV (where Nash walked out on him in that TNA World Tag Team Title match). Cornette said no. He told Joe that he got himself into this mess and he needed to solve the problem himself. Joe said he would do just that.

TNA World Champion Kurt Angle, his wife Karen, TNA World Tag Team Champion A. J. Styles & Jeremy Borash arrived at the arena. Kurt said that tonight A. J. would be inducted into the Angle Alliance and would become "Prince" A. J. Styles.

A. J. was backstage worrying about what Christian Cage said about crippling him. Borash said to talk to Kurt about it. Kurt said there was nothing to worry about, but this didn't make things better, so A. J. went to talk to Karen. Karen said to hide. TNA World Tag Team Champion Tomko then entered and A. J. looked relieved to have his partner there for some protection, but Tomko said it was time to pay the band. He then left and A. J. & Borash quickly followed, going off to find a place to hide while the Angles finished getting ready for the ceremony.

A. J. & Borash were seen hiding under a table while Christian Cage talked to Crystal about finding them.

A. J. & Borash were still under the table when the show returned from commercial break. After an awkward pause, Borash asked if A. J. farted. A. J said he didn't know what to do because he was so nervous. Eric Young discovered them and said to go hide in the park (meaning Universal Studios theme park, where the show is taped). There were plenty of people there. A. J. liked this idea, but Borash reminded him about the coronation. A. J. wasn't interested in that and vacated the area with Borash close behind. Eric climbed under the table and said he would hold down the fort.

Jim Cornette came to the ring to stop Robert Roode from attacking Ms. Brooks. He said Roode was an embarrasmet to the male species and disgusts him. He should suspend him for life due to his actions against Sharmell & Ms. Brooks. He then rethinks things and decides he should have someone run Roode over with a truck. But he won't do that because he wants to see what will happen when Booker T tears him apart. He told Ms. Brooks to go get security and they would safely escort her off the property. The stalker fan who had been at the tapings for months then attacked Ms. Brooks with a steel chair. Roode introduced her as Peyton Banks while Cornette & Matt Morgan tended to Ms. Brooks.

Jeremy Borash was outside the Revenge of the Mummy ride. He didn't know where A. J. was, but he promised to keep looking for him. A. J. arrived in a pharoah's outfit which he said he "jacked". Borash said it was sweet, but A. J. neede to be getting ready for the coronation. A. J. didn't want to, but Borash convinced him when he mentioned that Karen Angle wanted to meet with him. A. J. asked if Kurt knew about this meeting. Borash said no and that Karen wanted it to be kept on the DL. He informed A. J. that Karen was waiting in the men's room, which both men thought was strange, but they headed off to meet up with her.

A. J. & Borash met Karen in a men's room stall. He's half out of her dress and asked for some help with getting it on. Karen then asked for some time alone with A. J. Borash said he was hoping he would get to see what was going on. Karen said later, they would spend time together. After Borash left, Karen told A. J. there comes a time when a man has to rise above and now is A. J.'s time. She's made him proud, more proud than Kurt. He needs to rise up and face his fears. He tells him to rise up and soar. A. J. says she's the wind beneath his wings and goes off to find his tuxedo.

The Angle Alliance come out to the ring to coronate A. J. Styles. A. J. sat on the throne and Kurt put the crown on his head, proclaiming him "Prince A. J." He said A. J. made the choice to join the Angle Alliance regardless of the consequences. The way he did it was best. He scewed Christian Cage. He knows it was callous, but A. J. made the right decision. He might even say that he helped escalate his career. What caught Kurt's eye was the genius of how A. J. did it. He hugged Christian, then hit him from behind with a flying forearm. Cage then came to the ring. He said they forgot one thing. Cage had Angle locked in the anklelock and Angle was tapping out. Cage promised to deal with Kurt later, but wants to address A. J. He made his decision. The crowd begins to chant "Princess A. J.". Cage asked A. J. if he is ready to man up. Karen whispered in A. J.'s ear and A. J. said she's right and he's ready to man up and won't take anymore of Cage's crap. Cage asked him if that was manning up. He pointed to Karen and said that for $4 and 1/2 a glass of wine, she'll use her mouth. A. J. said not to talk about her that way, she's a lady. Cage said there were 2 of them and 1 of him. They should see if they could take him. Samoa Joe then came out and demanded a shot at Kurt Angle and his title. A. J. told him to shut up. They call the shots, not him. Cage told Joe that they can't agree on anything, but maybe they can agree on this point: A. J. & Kurt need their asses kicked. Jim Cornette then came to the ring and told everyone to stop. He said Cage got a raw deal and deserved a rematch. He said Samoa Joe deserved a title match. He didn't think A. J. deserved a shot at the title, but he'd like to see A. J. get his butt kicked. So next week, there would be a Triple Threat Elimination Match. If Cage or Joe win, they get a shot at Kurt Angle and the TNA World Title at the "Against All Odds" PPV. If A. J. won, he had a choice. He could take the title shot or he could give Kurt 2 months off from defending the belt. The show closed on that deal.

1-14 WWE RAW

Jillian Hall, Melina & WWE World Women's Champion Beth Phoenix def. Mickie James, Ashley & Maria.

Ric Flair def. William Regal

1-17 TNA iMPACT

Jeremy Borash met the Angle Alliance outside. He said he didn't know "we" were all in tuxes tonight. Kurt said there's no "we". Kurt & A. J. are talent. And sometime Karen is too. Borash is just an announcer. Tonight was special. It was like Christmas all over again. This brought Eric Young out, who asked if they told Shrek and Santa Clause about this. Kurt said they brought Santa with them and he was in the limosuine. Eric crawled into the limo and Kurt slammed the door and blocked it. He said tonight, A. J. has a triple threat elimination match against Samoa Joe & Christian Cage. When he wins, Kurt gets 2 months off and he's excited. Borash pointed out that A. J. could take the option of getting a title shot. Karen told Borash that A. J. had already made his decision and the Angle Alliance left to get ready.

Borash interviewd A. J. A. J. told Borash that Tomko would know what to do. He's his tag team partner and he's super smart. They go to Tomko. Tomko asked if he got his crown with a Happy Meal. A. J. pointed out that those were real rubies. He asked Tomko what to do: take the title shot or give Kurt 2 months off. Tomko said it was time for A. J. to do what the wanted to do. He won the TNA World Tag Team Title with out Kurt. He won 2 NWA World Titles without Kurt. Tomko is doing what Tomko wants. A. J. should do the same. Borash asked A. J. what he's going do. A. J. still didn't know.

Borash was with A. J. & Karen Angle. He asked A. J. what he would do. A. J. said he thought about it, but was interrupted by Karen who said he thought long and hard, but in the end, he'd do the right thing. A. J. said he might want the title shot. Karen said that she knows A. J. will do the right thing and then Karen would do the right thing for the "Prince of Phenomenal". A. J. got really excited about this.

Jim Cornette was in his office with Scott Steiner and Petey Williams. He said Scott had the wrong idea about the X Division. Scott tried to interrupt him several times as Cornette said the X Division was about drive, determination, perseverance and greatness. Steiner wanted clarification that the X Division wasn't about being 4 feet tall, 110 pounds or being an Oompa Loompa. Cornette said no. It was about being the best. Steiner stood up and said he was the best, taking the briefcase with the X Division title shot in it and leaving. Cornette told Williams that he could bring a tear to a glass eye.

Christian Cage def. Samoa Joe and TNA World Tag Team Champion A. J. Styles in A Triple Threat Elimination Match to earn a shot at the TNA World Title at the "Against All Odds" PPV.

1-17 TNA Global iMPACT

Rick Steiner was interviewed by the Japanese press. He said it was always an honour to come over to Japan where he could do what he loved doing and show everyone that he was still one of the best.

1-18 WWE Smackdown

WWE United States Champion Montell Vontavious Porter said his guest in the VIP Lounge tonight was better than anyone. He defined the word "VIP". His career spanned 35 years, but the next match he wrestled would be his last. As a magnanimous gesture, MVP has invited him to the lounge. Ric Flair came out. They shook hands. Flair thanked MVP for the introduction, but he didn't think there was anyone who didn't know him. MVP asked Flair to settle down. Flair said he knew about VIP Lounges and wanted to dance all night. He was tearing down VIP Lounges before MVP was born. MVP said in 9 days, Flair's career was over. He can't beat MVP. Flair said MVP doesn't have what it takes to beat him. MVP said he beat him at Vegeance PPV in June and he'll do so again at the Royal Rumble. He said he's half-man, half-amazing. Flair said MVP may be "half-man", but he's "THE Man". He doesn't deny losing to MVP. He then listed a bunch of people that he had wrestled. He said his loss to MVP was a blemish he had to correct. MVP has a great future, but he can't lace the boots of the people Flair has beaten. MVP said they should all be lacing his boots. MVP says the day he retires Flair will be the greatest day of his career. Flair said MVP reminded him in some ways of a younger version of himself, but in other ways, MVP is nothing like Flair. MVP says he's better. Flair said "Why wait?" MVP said they weren't toing to waste their match on Smackdown. They would wait until the Royal Rumble. When MVP beat Flair, MVP said the whole world would know that the greatest of all time wasn't better than him. Flair then punched MVP, knocking him over the sofa on his set and walked off.
