Wednesday night in New Hampshire, Mike Huckabee's party had Ric Flair's theme music playing. Flair is a celebrity endorser of Huckabee.

One time NWA-U wrestler and multi-time NWA World Tag Team Champion Chris Harris has agreed to contractual terms with WWE. The deal between Harris and WWE, negotiated by his agent, is completed. TNA is downplaying the signing, and spinning it as if he was a crybaby and an attitude problem, and that they don?t care he is leaving the promotion. TNA had apparently not realized his contract lapsed or simply thought WWE would not want him. WWE has been fielding overtures from TNA talent (or their representatives), so it wouldn?t be surprising to see other TNA departures for Stamford, CT. TNA has removed his profile from their roster page and confirmed his departure on Friday.

At JRsBarBQ.com, Jim Ross responded to Chris Cruises's article (at WrestlingObserver.com). Ross took an interesting approach, not knocking Cruise at all, even though Cruise did come after him. In fact, he said Cruise made valid points and that he agrees there should be a zero tolerance policy as it relates to both steroids and HGH within pro wrestling.

Amazon.com has confirmed that WWE will release a Sting DVD set on December 9, 2008. It will be a two disc set and the suggested price is $26.99.

TNA is laying the foundation for Matt Morgan's in ring debut. Many message boards have been clammering and been very vocal about Morgan's in-ring debut and are anxious for that time to come. Previously, Vince Russo has been pushing for Matt Morgan to get in the ring however, Jim Cornette and Jeff Jarrett have interceded and are more interested in getting Morgan over on the mic before they showcase his in-ring skills. TNA has been happy with the feedback from the fans with respect to Matt Morgan as they are seeing a slow build for his debut instead of hot shotting him into his first match and then having him get lost in the shuffle. Just a few months ago, several sites had speculated that Samoa Joe would be the first opponent for Morgan seeing his involvment with the Christian/Joe storyline. TNA continued to tease this confrontation at the last set of tapings and the fans responded in kind by chanting "Kill Him" in support of Morgan. As of this writing, the plans that are in motion right now is to continue to have Morgan work the mic and be built as a huge babyface and then within the next two months have Morgan make his in-ring debut at that month's PPV.

Terry Taylor underwent double knee replacements surgery. His knees were in bad shape from all the years in the ring as an active wrestler.

Shark Boy's current gimmick is being done as a rib on the fact that much of the WWE roster keeps getting injured. This was Dutch Mantel's idea.

The attendance for the TNA show at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center was reportedly 900.

Reportedly several TNA wrestlers ate lunch at JR's Family Bar-B-Que in Norman on Saturday prior to the TNA event in Oklahoma City including Christian Cage and James Storm.

Roddy Piper stated on his web site that he will not be at the WWA Bash at the Ballpark on January 19th even though he is being advertised.

The Mardi Gras Cafe in Dallas had a memorial benefit Saturday to help pay for funeral costs of Arman Hussein. Hussein would come to their blues jams almost every week until he became too ill.

The Great Samu was begrudgingly forced to vacate his WXW Heavyweight Championship and pull out of his scheduled showdown with Sugaa at the World Xtreme Wrestling event on January 8th due to an emergency kidney ailment. In a statement from WXW officials, they said that "WXW would like to take this time to recognize the enormous accomplishments and contributions that Samu has given to WXW, and we encourage fans to keep him in your thoughts during this difficult time. While his leave of absence is indefinite, we all will be wishing for no less than a full recovery and eventual return to a WXW ring."

ClickWrestle.com has a video of AACW Women's Champion Cheerleader Melissa taking on Blue Nikita from the "ChickFight UK" event that took place on August 26, 2007 in Suncastle, Skegness, England.

Brandon Groom has begun wrestling for WWE's developmental fed, Florida Championship Wrestling. He is now known as "Greek God" Brandon Groom.

Tim Brooks is going to try his hand at promoting wrestling. NAWA Big Time Pro Wrestling had its debut show on February 9th in Dallas.

Max McGuirk, grandson of pro wrestler Leroy McGuirk and son of former WWF ring announcer Mike McGuirk, has begun his training for pro wrestling. He has been training under the tutelege of the legendary Tom Jones.

Former AACW Commissioner Damien Strange e-mailed Oklafan last week to let us know that one-time AACW wrestler KAFU had been signed to a WWE developmental deal. In his e-mail he referred to himself as the owner of the AAWWL. After further research, AAWWL stands for the All American World Wrestling League. We will report more info when we receive it.

Scam of the week is a story at www.Hillsdale.net/cgi-bin/printme.pl where the local promotion claimed a show Saturday in Waldorn, MA, featured The Ultimate Warrior. It even has quotes from "The Warrior." Warrior claims to live on the Ramapo Reservation in New Jersey and likes modern wrestling, particularly women's wrestling. "I like that the athletic woman has really come onto the scene. It isn't just a beauty pageant with them out there now, they are real athletes." There is a local guy who works spot shows in Massachusetts claiming to be the original Ultimate Warrior. He has similar hair and face paint and a good tan, but is clearly a different guy.

Oklafan would like to extend its sympathies to Stevie Caballero on the passing of his father.
