Bushwacker Luke was introduced as guest time keeper prior to the second match at Ring of Honor's "Rising Above" pay-per-view taping in New York, NY and was then attacked and laid out by The Hangmen Three (Brent Albright, B. J. Whitmer, & Adam Pearce).

There has been talk of WWE inducting legendary announcer Gordon Solie into the Hall of Fame in recent years. Jim Ross has pushed the suggestion, but he seems to have lost his influence in that area.

Ric Flair has agreed to a contract that will run through the end of 2010, a few weeks ago, but at last word, he had yet to sign it. Flair's current contract expires on January 8th.

Mick Foley stated on the Wrestling Observer Live that he wanted to do one more thing in the business. Foley said he had a creative idea, but cancelled a meeting with Vince McMahon. Foley also said he volunteered to visit the developmental system in Louisville and Tampa.

Dave Meltzer is gathering information about an article he plans to do for The Wrestling Observer in the next few weeks. He wants people to submit what they believe to be the most famous match that took place in their home town. So far, Meltzer has not receieved any submissions from Tulsa or Oklahoma City, but recognizes these cities as big hotbeds of wrestling and is hoping that someone will send in some ideas. He says he's not necessarily looking for the best match, or the biggest drawing match, but the match that seems to have stood the test of time, in that people years later, if not decades later, still talk about it. You can send to dave@wrestlingobserver.com.

Larry Stanley at ldstanley78@hotmail.com is working on doing a movie on Gino Hernandez and would like to get in touch with people who knew him.

Former IZW Cruiserweight Champion and former IZW Tag Team Champion Mitch Carter was in attendance at the IZW event this past weekend. IZW Commissioner Mike Iles introduced Carter to the fans who gave him a rousing ovation. IZW owner and 1/2 of the current IZW Tag Team Champion John Zorthos came out and interrupted saying Carter was a quitter and a loser. He got up in Carter's face and then pushed him to the floor. Carter leaped the barricade and attacked Zorthos. Security broke up the brawl as Zorthos demanded Iles eject Carter from the building. Iles did not but instead set up an impromptu match between Carter and Zorthos which Carter won. After the show Carter was backstage talking with Iles about a possible comeback.

When Tommy Revell defeated Michael Barry for the IZW Heavyweight Title on December 22nd, it ended the longest title reign in Oklahoma at 15 months and 6 days. The current longest reign now belongs to The Canadian Red Devil who's FCW Heavyweight Title reign is currently at 9 months and 14 days as of today (December 31st). He defeated Rocco Valentino for the FCW Title on March 17, 2007 in a Triple Threat Match that also included AWOL.
