12-27 TNA iMPACT

Krystal was interviewing TNA World Tag Team Champions A. J. Styles & Tomko. She asked A. J. if he had made a decision about which side he will be taking in the Kurt Angle/Christian Cage situation. A. J. said Karen Angle told him he could be on both teams. Tomko told A. J. to wake up and that Karen lied to him. A. J. reminded Tomko that they were the TNA World Tag Team Champions. Tomko said he'd made his decision and that A. J. needed to make his.

Christian Cage was in the ring and demanded that A. J. & Tomko come out and tell him where their loyalties lay. A. J. arrived without Tomko, saying he didn't know where his partner was. Cage said he didn't know how many more times he could say the same thing. He told A. J. that everything he had was because of Cage: TV time, PPV, paychecks, the TNA World Tag Team Title. Even the 2 NWA World Titles he won long before Cage came to TNA were because of Cage. A. J. corrected him on the number of NWA World Titles he'd won as it was actually 3. Cage told A. J. that TNA World Champion Kurt Angle was using him as punching bag and a fall guy, which brought out Kurt & Karen Angle. Kurt asked Cage to clarify what he was "using" A. J. for. He didn't use him to win his Olympic gold medal. He didn't use him for women. As far as he could see, the only person using A. J. was Cage. He told A. J. to come with him, but Cage told A. J. to stay. A fight then broke out between Angle and Cage. Angle headlocked A. J. Cage grabbed a title belt ad went to hit Angle, but accidentally hit A. J. More fighting went on between Angle & Cage until Tomko came out and seperated them. Cage said he wanted a decision from A. J. & Tomko before the night was over.

A. J. Styles was sitting backstage with Jeremy Borash. He had an ice pack on his head. Borash reminded him that he had to make a decision by the end of the night. A. J. didn't remember that. He doesn't know what to do. Borash said he should go ask the people he trusts for their opinion. A. J. said he trusted Borash. Borash said his "unbiased" opinion was that A. J. should go with the Angles and say off "The B-Team". A. J. said he's never been on the B-Team in his whole life, but then remembered a field hockey team in high school he was part of. Ultimately he said there is only one team he's part of: himself, Tomko, Cage and Angle. Borash said he was nuts and walked off.

The Motor City Machine Guns def. TNA World Tag Team Champions A. J. Styles & Tomko.

Team 3-D & Johnny Devine were in Jim Cornette's office protesting their participation in the Ultimate X match at the Final Resolution PPV. Cornette said they've done everything they can to the Motor City Machine Guns. The match is booked and that's final. Brother Devon tried to go after Cornette, but Matt Morgan stepped in between. Cornette said they can leave under their own power or they can be carried out. Brother Ray said it was Thursday, so it was all-you-can-eat King Crab day at the Sizzler and Brother Devon loves King Crabs. Team 3-D & Devine depart. Morgan then told Cornette, "You're welcome" which sets off Cornette. Cornette told Morgan not to get an attitude. He was still upset about what Morgan did last week. He told Morgan to take a walk for 30 minutes because if they discussed it now, he'd end up saying something they would both regret.

Jim Cornette and Matt Morgan are back in Cornette's office. Cornette said he'd heard from Corporate and went over the previous weeks changes that Matt Morgan made to the card. Morgan said it was all OK. Cornette said that Corporate wanted him, which means he's gone and that means Morgan is gone. Morgan showed Cornette a letter and a check, thanking Cornette for the "great ideas" on last week's show. Cornette is calmed down, saying that Morgan did try to keep a lot of Cornette's ideas in the show, but he still allowed Samoa Joe to walk out in the middle of the broadcast. Cornette told Morgan that he needed to stop going into business for himself. Samoa Joe then entered and said he'd heard that Cornette was looking for him. Cornette said he wanted to talk to Joe about his match tonight, but Joe said he's not wrestling tonight. Cornette again said he was tired of people trying to go into business for themselves and said Joe can either walk out to the ring and wrestle or he can walk out of the arena into the parking lot because he's fired. It's his choice. Joe stood up and told Cornette he was right; it was his choice. He then left the office.

A. J. Styles and Eric Young were backstage with Jeremy Borash. They were sitting at a table with a 6-pack of beer. A. J. said he needed advice and hoped they could set the events of the previous week aside. Eric tried to give A. J. some advice, but all it ended up being was a giant rant about breakfast cereals, choices between 2, 3 or 4 patties on the burgers at lunch, 31 flavours of ice cream and cell phones. A. J. eventually got up and left as Young rambled on about nothing.

A. J. was in Kevin Nash's room on his couch. He said he didn't know Nash well, but he'd like to change that. He said he didn't know what to do about the Cage/Angle situation. He also apologised about the events of the Turning Point PPV. Nash told A. J. it wasn't all doom and gloom. Both Cage and Angle neede him. He compared it to the time when the nWo split. He said he had his best run then. He also reminded A. J. that there are no friends in this business. He needs to take all this into consideration and think about who was going to stab him in the back.

A. J. sat at ringside during the Robert Roode/Kurt Angle vs. Booker T/Christian Cage main event. At one point, he stepped up and looked like he was going to throw a chair into the ring to help someone, but then threw the chair at ringside and stormed off. After the match was over, Cage and Angle both demaded that A. J. come out and make his decision. The show ended with Cage and Angle arguing on either side of A. J. as he refused to make a choice.
