Junior Fatu has been removed from the TNAwrestling.com roster page and Awesome Kong has been added. It's not 100% that he is done with TNA howver. He missed the last the taping due to a miscommunication, which is why he wasn't buried on "iMPACT".

WWE has decided against using "Dr. Death" Steve Williams as a coach. WWE was flying him in from Colorado to help train the developmental talent.

TheState.com newspaper from South Carolina has footage of the funeral service of Lillian Ellison, who was known to professional wrestling fans as The Fabulous Moolah. Stephanie McMahon-Levesque and Shane McMahon were representing WWE and Stephanie read the eulogy while Shane read a poem. Ric Flair and his partner were also in attendance along with Moolah's best friend Mae Young and two hundred other people, including former wrestlers Joyce Grable, Judy Martin, and Chris Kanyon. A video of Moolah played which only contained three people from wrestling in it, Mae Young, Vince McMahon, & Shane McMahon, and one other non-relative, friend Ken Raftery.

Jakks Pacific has announced that they are very close to signing Big Bossman, Dynamite Kid and Jesse Ventura for their WWE Classic Superstars line.

Ric Flair was the subject of the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle. For 60 down, it was "Wrestler Flair famous for the figure four leg lock."

On "Family Feud" last Wednesday, a question for the male wrestlers was, "Give another name for alcohol" And it was Ric Flair's turn. This was one you'd have no doubt he's nailing. So he says, "Stimulant." Huh??? He was even asked where he came up with that. He said his doctor told him alcohol was a stimulant. Actually, for Flair, it probably is

Tony Atlas recently backed out of the National Wrestling Superstars event in Sayreville, NJ and Ridgefield Park, NJ. Atlas said that although he agreed to work their events, he had signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment to work at their Ohio Valley affiliate and would be unable to work their events as planned. Atlas was replaced on the card by Kamala.

Birmingham, AL Mayor Larry Langford has talked about turning Boutwell Auditorium, the home of pro wrestling in the regional heyday, into an extension of the city's Museum of Art. Jim Ward noted in the arena he saw Tojo Yamamoto hitting Abdullah the Butcher with his wooden shoes, Randy Savage debut the Macho Man gimmick, Wayne Ferris debut the Honky Tonk Man gimmick, Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes as a tag team before they came up with the Freebirds name, the debut of the Original Midnight Express of Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose, & Norvell Austin, and Harley Race and Ric Flair regularly defending the NWA titles against people like Bob Armstrong, Jimmy Golden and Ron Fuller.

Vader recently had hip replacement surgery. He held off the surgery until he felt he was retired from the ring. He is expected to make a full recovery by early next year. Reportedly Vader, 51, is now selling cars wholesale as his main job and is also involved with different marketing and advertising projects.

B. Brian Blair has already filed for re-election to a second term on the Hillsborough County Commission, a $91,000 per year post, which would be voted on in 2008.

Bill Goldberg's wife Wanda will be starting a syndicated Pet Care Show which will debut in January.

A wrestler in the Tampa area, Frankie "The Thumper" Lancaster, 46, was recently interviewed on Tampa's ABC Action News and said he is unable to get his wife pregnant, due to his steroid use dropping his sperm count to zero, according to his urologist. They are giving him medication to try and increase his sperm count. In the late 80's, Lancaster held the World Class Tag Team titles with Eric Embry, feuding with The Fantastics and the Simpsons.

AWOL made an appearance at this past weekend's AACW show to recognized American veterans and to announce the participants in the Havoc vs. Slam Shady match. He became involved after the main event as well. Oliver John had picked up the win over Kafu (also managed by Skandar Akbar) then Slam Shady ran in to the ring. Shady, Kafu, and Akbar were run off by AWOL, Havoc, and John.

Oklafan extends its congratulations to several Oklahoma wrestlers who have made some transitions in their lives this week. Congratulations to Striker, who became a grandfather, John O'Malley, who became a father, and MSWA wrestler/referee Ronny Storm, who got married in the ring during intermission this week.

Congratulations also goes out to The Compound Varsity (Justin Lee & Romero Contreras) who just celebrated 6 months as FCW Tag Team Champions. The Varsity defeated ICF (Shane Morbid & Volar) for the vacant titles on May 5, 2007.

Terry Pantera was in a car wreck on his way to the AACW show Saturday. According to a message from his daughter, he fell asleep at the wheel. He is sore, but doing well. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
