NEWS
Junior Fatu (AKA Rikishi) is already gone from TNA Wrestling after spending less than two months with the company. Making his debut as Junior Fatu, he appeared on the September 13th edition of iMPACT! and wrestled for the first time there the week after. He was scheduled to be at last Monday's "TNA iMPACT!" TV taping but his spot was replaced by Chris Harris. According to reports, the two parties couldn't reach an agreement on a contract.

Matt Morgan will be serving as the acting GM for TNA in Jim Cornette's absence. While the change is only temporary, TNA has been impressed with both the reaction Matt Morgan receives from the live crowd as well as his ability to cut strong promos as demonstrated 2 weeks ago on Impact. At present TNA is embracing these skills while saving his physical prowess for a later date.

TNA Writer Dutch Mantel is said to be negative about the fact that nobody knows who the babyfaces are, and nobody knows who the heels are. In the past, Vince Russo has said that faces and heels are passe.

Samoa Joe, Senshi, and Mike Tenay pushed for TNA to use Amazing Kong. Dutch Mantel is also said to be a proponent of hers.

One rumored match for TNA's "Genesis" pay-per-view in Orlando FL on November 11th, is TNA World Tag Team Champions A. J. Styles & Tomko defending against The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner).

WWE on its web site promoted the week of December 5-9 with WWE men vs. women battling on "Family Feud". The story mentioned a men's team of Ric Flair, Mr. Kennedy, Batista, and Jonathan Coachman and a women's team of Layla, Candice Michelle, Michelle McCool and Maria. It left out Booker T and Sharmell on their respective teams. That's company policy, when you leave, you don't exist any longer.

Even Ric Flair's own web site gets it wrong. On the Ric Flair Finance web site, there are mostly reference to "Ric Flair" Finance but there is one reference to "Rick Flair" Finance.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross announced the starting lineups for the University of Oklahoma at Saturday night's ABC game against Texas A&M. The game was available on a regional basis

WYOU News in Scranton/Wilkes Barre, PA had Jerry Lawler on the show with them taking questions. They also had a poll asking who was the best legend and Lawler won with 41%, Hulk Hogan came in second with 37%, Andre the Giant with 14%, and Roddy Piper with 7%. They were hyping that wrestling was coming back to Scranton and for $15 you could get a ticket, with tickets still left. One of the questions asked was who he thought was the best right now. He said Cena who is out for 8 months, Shawn Michaels for Raw and the Undertaker for Smackdown. He also said he doesn't get to watch ECW because that's his softball night.

Chris Jericho was on WMMR in Philadelphia Monday morning on the Preston and Steve show. One of the hosts brought up that Lanny Poffo was one of the few acrobatic wrestlers in the 80s. Jericho then said Poffo is well known to have the ability to give himself oral treats and called it "his well-known parlor trick."

Goldberg was reportedly paid $30,000 for a one-day appearance at the San Francisco convention at the Cow Palace.

On a recent tour with All Japan, wrestling icon Abdullah the Butcher teamed with Nobutaka Araya to face Seiya Sanada and Nobukazu Hirai in a prelim match. Butcher had trouble getting into the ring at age 70, and stayed on the floor and brawled. Other reports have circulated with the same comments. When Abdullah wrestled at a Legends show in North Carolina a couple of months ago, he was also unable to get into the ring. The promoter said that he not able to get into the ring any longer. He can only stand at ringside & do a few trademark Butcher moves (pulling the fork out of his tights, blading, etc).

Bronko Lubich and Skip Young will be honored and given the PCW Lifetime Achievement Award at Professional Championship Wrestling Full Throttle's "Heroes II Legends" event in Arlington, TX on November 10th. Lubich, who passed away in August of this year will receive the award posthumously and will be represented by his family.

The Mid South Pro Wrestling show scheduled for November 10th at Robinson Middle School in Little Rock, AR has been canceled due the father of the pastor they were doing the show for suffering a massive stroke. Ted DiBiase and Danny Hodge were booked, and they are looking at trying to do it now in April.

UWF06 recently announced they will be doing a show at the Veterans Hall in Biloxi, MS on December 8th.

Oklafan is sad to report the death of WWE Hall of Famer and former WWF World Women's champion The Fabulous Moolah this past Friday in Columbia, SC. Moolah, real name Lillian Ellison, was 84 years old. Ellison made her professional wrestling debut in 1949 and joined the then WWF in 1983 after Vince McMahon secured her services. Moolah came into the company already as the Women's champion, bringing her title from the NWA and then lost it to Wendi Richter in 1984 in the main event of 'The Brawl To End It All' which was aired live on MTV (and was the first wrestling event Oklafan senior editor C. M. Burnham ever saw). Moolah went on to win the WWF World Women's title a total of four times, the last when she was 76 years old. In 1995 she was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame and kept appearing from time to time on WWE television along with Mae Young. Her last appearance on WWE TV was at SummerSlam during a backstage segment with McMahon and William Regal. No cause of death has been announced yet. Moolah has one documented Oklahoma appearance on May 29, 1959 when she defeated Judy Grable.

Oklafan also extends its sympathy to the family of former valet Missy D. Two weeks ago, Missy's sister and three other family members were killed in a car accident. On Thursday, Missy's mom passed away after a long struggle with cancer. Although she only valeted twice in her career (both times for Warrior Elite in SWCW), she is still a member of the wrestling family and we offer our condolences to her during this time.
