WWE World Women's Champion Beth Phoenix defined a Glamazon as someone who people bow down to, either because they want to or because she makes them. Next week, Candace Michelle will invoke her rematch clause and Phoenix promised to show the true meaning of being a Glamazon.
10-18 TNA iMPACT
Jim Cornette complained that there can't be a tournament without "the Burrito Brothers" (Team 3-D) interfering. Christian Cage barged into Cornette's office and said that now there's an empty spot in the Fight For Your Right Tournament. He wanted to claim it and since Cornette wanted to "pimp (him) out for ratings", he'll do it in his match: a Ladder Match. Samoa Joe then charged in and said that he's there to claim the empty spot in the tourny. Cage said Joe was too late and he beat him to the spot. Joe responded that the last he checked, Cage wasn't beating anything in TNA, especially Joe. A scuffle between the 2 broke out as the show went to commercial.
Jim Cornette & Mike Tenay were in the ring to present the title belts to the new TNA title holders. TNA World X Division Champion Jay Lethal came to the ring. Cornette said that he's not a new champion, but he never got a chance to congratulate him. He did so. Then Gail Kim came out. Cornette said Kim is an inspiration to every woman who enters the profession and presented her the the TNA World Knockouts Championship belt. Kim said she's proud and thanked the fans. She said she couldn't have done it without them, then the emotions overwhelm her. A. J. Styles & Tomko arrive next, accompanied by Christian Cage. Cornette said they're a 1st rate tag team. Tomko thanked Cornette and said he had doubts of A. J. at the beginning, but they did it and against his better judgement, he's going to let A. J. talk. A. J. took the mic and thanked Ivan Drago (from Rocky IV). Pokemon Diamonds, Kip James (who, according to A. J., was 50 years old and "still keeping it real"), DX and others before having the mic snatched from him by Cage. Cage said they wouldn't be in there without him. He demanded his right to fill the vacant slot in the Fight For Your Right Tournament. Cornette said he and Samoa Joe both want it, so let them fight for it that night! He presented the TNA World Tag Team titles to A. J. & Tomko and all 3 left the ring. Sting arrived last. Cornette said they'd known each other for 21 years. Kurt Angle was the toughest opponent in Sting's career. The crowd chanted "You've still got it!". Sting said Angle took him to places he'd never been, but he's still got it. Mike Tenay asked if he'll accept Angle's challenge for a rematch. Sting asked the fans. They said "Yes!". Sting said it was Showtime once more. Kurt Angle then came out in a wheelchair. He said he was brutally attacked by Kevin Nash earlier in the show and the TNA doctors wouldn't let him compete due to severe spinal cord trauma. He said he can't get out of the wheelchair, but he will face Sting next week. Sting asked if his mommy signed a note and told Angle to bring the wheelchair next week because he'd need it.
Junior Fatu was backstage being interviewed. He said there was a lot of craziness going on. He couldn't quite Robert Roode and asked Kristal what "that jabroni's name" was. Kristal said Junior Fatu would be facing Robert Roode in the Fight For Your Right Tournament next week and wondered what Fatu felt about that. Fatu said next week, he'd face "Rick Rude....or whatever that jabroni's name is" and then asked Kristall if she could smell something. Kristall said, "No." Fatu said soon someone, be it Sting or Kurt Angle, would smell their fresh air get a little stinky.
TNA World Tag Team Champions A. J. Styles & Tomko attacked Samoa Joe during his match with Christian Cage. Matt Morgan came out to fight off Tomko and Joe disposed of A. J. Cage eventually won the match, due to Robert Roode's interference.
