NEWS
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson), Beth Phoenix, The Hardy Boyz (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy), Elias, Ruby Riot, Drew McIntyre, Lars Sullivan, and Aleister Black were all revealed as downloadable characters for WWE 2K18.

The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) will be lacing up their boots one more time in the WWE as the duo will be facing Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson at the upcoming "Starrcade" show on November 25th. The match came after Gallows & Anderson called out the WWE Hall of Famers on Twitter and while it was not officially announced by WWE yet, PWInsider.com reports that the match is a lock for the show. Both Gibson and Morton were scheduled to appear at the Greensboro Coliseum anyway, a place where they defeated Ivan Koloff & Nikita Koloff to win the NWA World Tag Team Titles in 1985 and then a year later defeated Ole Anderson & Arn Anderson to retain the titles. Both matches took place inside a steel cage. Starrcade so far is a non-televised event although it’s rumored that it might be transformed into a WWE Network special.

Episode #16 of "The Triple Threat Podcast" featuring “The Franchise” Shane Douglas and The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling is NOW available and streaming on the IRW Network. On WWE bringing back "Starrcade", Douglas said “I’d be shocked if Cody (Rhodes) does appear and not because I’m sure he loves his brother Dustin (Goldust) dearly but for Cody to go back it seems to me from what I have read publicly, I have not spoken privately to him about it but it seems like he left on pretty terse terms with WWE. Which seems to be a revolving thing doesn’t it? People that leave seem to have a pretty disgruntled view of the company. I don’t see in my personal opinion where if I was an NWA fan (and I am) but if I am a fan outside of the business I wouldn’t spend one dollar on a WWE Starrcade event because Vince McMahon had nothing to do with the inception, build-up, execution or duration of Starrcade. Those were exclusively an NWA product under the Crocketts and with Dusty Rhodes and it was the Dusty Rhodes brainchild that started it. I just don’t see where it would be like (Darren) Aronofsky the guy who did 'The Wrestler', it would be like him suddenly saying he can write a 'Star Wars' movie which he has never had anything to do with because that is a (Disney) Lucas Property and I just don’t see the connection from Vince McMahon to Starrcade. Vince has enough entities that he is making money on and off of that he did create and I don’t see where he has the right to crossover. I don’t care that he bought the name from the WCW library or whatever, he had nothing to do with Starrcade and the purest “mark” in me would never spend a dime to support that."

Jeanine Denucci, wife of Dominic Denucci passed away a few weeks ago. Shane Douglas, who was trained to wrestle by Denucci, posted a nice tribute on Facebook. He posted "Before I start w daily thoughts, I need to announce that my trainer, mentor and close friend, wrestling legend Dominic DeNucci, lost his wife and life's partner, Jeanine, last night. She had been battling COPD for years and finally lost that battle. Knowing Dominic, I know he be feeling lost right now. After all, he had been her devoted and constant companion, nurse, caretaker, friend and husband since her battle began. Janine was a beautiful and intelligent woman who truly was Dominic's rock. She was also a devoted wife and mother to Dominic and Danielle. Her loss will be profound on Dominic. If you know him, either personally or from his career, it would be most welcome if you would keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Dominic is top-notch human being who will undoubtedly require the positive outpouring. Very sad news to report today..."

Jim Cornette, Al Snow, Paul Burchill and Rockstar Spud all attended last week's Matt Cappotelli benefit show by Ohio Valley Wrestling at the Danny Davis Arena in Louisville, KY. The show raised $6,000 for his medical bills as he's battling a very aggressive form of brain cancer after beating the disease years ago the first time.

The cast from the Netflix show "GLOW" is back training with Chavo Guerrero, Jr. for wrestling action.

After the closure of Pro Wrestling Blitz following promoters losing their shirts, Crash Tested Wrestling canceled and shut their promotion due to low presales of an event with Alberto Del Rio & Scott Steiner headlining. Now there are reports of other promotions in the Chicago area that won't be around much longer as the common thread in the troubles is the sharing much of the same talent leading neither to stand out from the others. Rebellious Wrestling, while not in the Chicago area itself but nearby, also closed.

Canadian Wrestling's Elite announced that Jake "The Snake" Roberts would be along for the promotion's tour in western Canada, running December 26th-January 15th. It's being called "The Pick Your Poison" tour.

John Powell of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story about Jinder Mahal's controversial promo he did towards Shinsuke Nakamura that had racial overtones. The story is entitled "Mat Matters: Villains, like Mahal, are supposed to say nasty things" which you can read by clicking here.

Oklafan congratulates Nikki Knight, who surpassed 6 months as ASP Women's Champion on September 25th. She defeated Killista and Phoebe in a Triple Threat Match to become the inaugural champion on March 25, 2017 at an event in Warr Acres.
