WWE 2K 17 roster additions announced Wednesday are A. J. Styles, Alexa Bliss, Alundra Blayze, Arn Anderson, Bam Bam Bigelow, Becky Lynch, Bo Dallas, Bubba Ray Dudley, The Bushwackers (Bushwacker Luke & Buchwacker Butch), Christian, Curtis Axel, Dana Brooke, Dolph Ziggler, D-Von Dudley, Emma, Eva Marie, Fandango, Kofi Kingston, Lita, Curt Hennig, Naomi, Natalya, Neville, Randy Savage, Rick Rude, Rikishi, Shawn Michaels, Stardust, Sting, Summer Rae, Tamina, Tatsumi Fujinami, Trish Stratus, Tyler Breeze and Xavier Woods.

WWE is sending current WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose, A. J. Styles, Natalya, and Becky Lynch to Wizard World Comic Con in Richmond, Virginia. This Comic Con will be held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center between September 9 and 11. A. J. Styles will kick things off for WWE at this event on Friday, September 9 with photo ops at 5PM, then autographs at 6PM, and then will host a Q&A panel at 7:30PM. Natalya is on next on Saturday, September 10, starting at 10:30AM for photo ops. Autographs will be next at 11:15AM, and then a Q&A panel at 12:30PM. Dean Ambrose and Becky Lynch will take the stage on Sunday, September 11. For Ambrose, he starts at 10AM with a Q&A panel, then photo ops at 10:45AM and autographs at 11:30AM. Becky will start at 10:30AM with photo ops, autographs at 11:15AM, and Q&A panel at 12:30PM. The appearances of all four will coincide with the SmackDown only "Backlash" pay-per-view which will take place in Richmond at The Coliseum, just opposite from the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

Speaking in front of a few thousand people at a packed Gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany, former WCW World Champion Goldberg said that he may be 49 years old, but he’s ready to go at any time, any place, anywhere, and all he need is a call. Goldberg is in Europe to promote WWE 2K17 and then he is flying to New York City for the WWE 2K17 launch event, an event promoted by 2K in associated with WWE. “The only thing more exciting than this game is doing it in real life….but that’s what we have,” Goldberg told the crowd who constantly kept giving him things to sign, something that he was happy to do. The host of the event asked Goldberg when he will be back in WWE and Goldberg replied by saying October 11…which is the date that WWE 2K17 officially comes out. “I can look at you honestly and tell you no idea. I’m not in control over that. Every single time that a WrestleMania comes up, SummerSlam comes up or when there’s an anticipation of me coming out, from the bottom of my heart, it’s not up to me,” Goldberg said. “If it was up to me, I would come out and give you what you want. I’m telling you the truth, okay? So please don’t take it out on me if a Sunday goes by and I don’t show up, cause it ain’t me people,” he added. Goldberg seemed genuinely excited to be there and even commented on Brock Lesnar, saying that Lesnar already felt his power in 2004 and if they meet again, Lesnar would suffer the same outcome.
