Jim Cornette held a meeting in his office. He had The Diamonds in the Rough, Shark Boy, Norman Smiley & Eric Young with him. Cornette said that all of them will be competing in a Loser Gets Fired match tonight. Jermey Borash reminded Cornette that Samoa Joe still had the NWA World Title belt. Cornette asked Borash if he wanted to go get it back. Father James Mitchell & Abyss then entered Cornette's office. Mitchell said he would get the belt back from Joe if Cornette would promise to give Abyss the 1st title shot. Cornette said that Mitchell is the sleaziest man he's ever dealt with, but if he can get the job done, the match is his.
Shane Douglas and The Naturals joined Mike Tenay & Don West on commentary for a match between Team 3-D and Maverick Matt & Frankie Kazarian
A video package was shown featuring NWA World Tag Team Champion A. J. Styles doing a thank you speech after winning a tournament in Mexico. Konnan and Homicide then appeared and said they wanted to give Styles a proper introduction to Mexico. At that point, about 15 Mexican wrestlers assault Styles, leaving him beaten and injured, out of action for the time being.
A video package on Sting was shown.
NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett came out to the ring to take his title belt from Abyss, who had recovered it from Samoa Joe, but Abyss didn't want to give it up. Abyss & Joe then teamed up on Jarrett before Joe left the ring and took the belt with him again.
Jeff Jarrett & Christian Cage are backstage. Jarrett said he's ready to retire Sting. He'd deal with Kurt Angle (the special ringside enforcer in the match betwen Sting & Jarrett) when he got there. Cage took the microphone and said that he's the captain of their team tonight because he not only beat Jarrett for the NWA World Title, but unlike Jarrett, he actually won his match at No Surrender.
NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett & Christian Cage def. Ron Killings & NWA World Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels. After the match, Jarrett took the microphone and called out Samoa Joe. Joe comes to the ring, but is knocked out of it by Jarrett, who tries to take back his belt. But Cage grabbed the belt after hitting Jarrett with the Unprettier, partly out of revenge for Jarrett having stolen the pin from him in their tag team match. Rhino then came out and gored Cage, causing him to drop the belt, which Joe then picked up and left with as the show closed.
