-Began his career as The Barbarian then changed his name to Nord the Barbarian in 1986 to avoid confusion with The Barbarian that was competing in NWA at the time.
-Once got into a fist fight backstage with Butch Reed that started at an afternoon show in Oklahoma City. Later that night Bill Watts made the two of them finish the fight in Tulsa to get it out of their system
-Was originally hinted to be related to The Nightmare, but Nightmare was released from MSW before that idea could be investigated further.
-Fired from the WWF after Summerslam '92. His friend Nailz was unhappy with the pay he received for his match with Virgil and asked Nord to stand outside the door while he went to talk to Vince. When discussions went nowhere, Nailz escalated things to a physical nature. Ultimately, Nailz called the police and accused Vince of sexual assault on him (Which he said provoked the physical altercation). Since Nord was essentially the lookout while this all happened, he was fired at the same time Nailz was.
-While competing in AWA as The Barbarian, he was billed from Parts Unknown
-While competing as "Yukon" John Nord in the AWA, he was billed from The Great North Woods and carried an axe named "Bertha" to the ring.
-Appeared in the movie "The Master Demon" in 1991

-Appeared on an episode of "Judge Mathis" on January 24, 2018. The episode was taped April 13, 2017 and he was being sued for non-payment of bail.
