He mentioned all this to Rude in a phone call. Rude told him not to make any hasty decisions and called him back a couple of hours later with Vince McMahon's personal phone number. Ironically, Vince had no idea that Paul had a legitimate background in Mortuary Science and immediately decided to put that to work in crafting a manager for the Undertaker.

-Passed away March 5, 2013 from a heart attack. He was set to receive the Lou Thesz Lifetime Achievement award from the Cauliflower Alley Club in April 2013.
-Posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014
-The National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, TX has a display featuring pictures and other items of Paul Bearer and the Undertaker.
