-Former brother-in-law of pro wrestler The Wall
-Placed 3rd in the state in high school amateur wrestling as a junior. He was heavily favoured to win the tournament in his senior year, but was unable to compete that season due to a cyst in his back.
-Worked for a time as a bounty hunter prior to becoming a wrestler. According to an unconfirmed story, Bigelow was arrested and spent 6 months in a Mexican prison when he went down to rescue an abducted girl and return her to the United States. The legend continues that he only served 6 months because he befriended the judge, who needed protection from some of the Cartel members down there.
-Had his debut match in Studio 54.
-Was given the name Crusher Yurkov by Fritz Von Erich. As Yurkov, he was billed as hailing from Parts Unknown.
-Was supposed to face Kamala at WrestleMania IX, but that match got cancelled, costing him a WrestleMania payday. He threatened to walk out of the company as a result of that. Rumour has it that, as compensation, he headlined the next PPV, King of the Ring 1993.
-Competed in Japanese MMA in 1996, but lost in 10 seconds to Kimo Leopoldo.
-Appeared in the 1995 movie "Major Payne" and the 1996 movie "Joe's Apartment"
-Announced his retirement in November 2004 and opened the Bam Bam Bigelow Deli in Lake Ariel, PA
-Suffered severe burns over half his body in 2000 as a result of rescuing 3 children from a fire.
-He was addicted to Oxycontine for much of his career
