He purchased controlling interest in the southern territories of the Tri-State Wrestling company in 1979 and turned that into Mid-South Wrestling, eventually forcing Leroy McGuirk to give up control of the northern portions (which included Oklahoma). When he divorced his wife Ene, she got the MSW and UWF tape library as part of the divorce settlement. Their son Micah ran the website for Universal Wrestling Archives, an online store for MSW and UWF wrestling videos. The tape library was sold to WWE in 2012.
